Chris shook his head, taking a step away from me, "I am sorry."
The papers dropped to the floor as I closed in on him. My fists clenched, teeth gnashing, "You are sorry?"
"How dare you?" I growled, low and dangerous, and at that moment, his face drained of color as he staggered to the wall.
"What's wrong with you, Davina?" He pointed at me, "Your eyes—"
"Don't fucking speak!" I breathed heavily, almost curling my hand around his neck, just like Uriel had done earlier. I wanted to stab my claws into his flesh and see him bleed out.
It was the same feeling, the same killing intent I felt.
But then, I closed my eyes. This time, I surprisingly could control myself.
"We need to get out of here, Davina. The guards will surround the house soon and get them. We can get away from the Packs ourselves, and live together—"
"Shut it." I sneered as I pointed at myself, "I am also in danger. If the Alpha gets them, then I am done for too."
