"Is the marriage still going to happen?"
Maria paced around my office, and occasionally stared at the floor-to-ceiling window as if her daughter would show up like a magic trick.
And with her brows crunched up in worry, her face was too ugly to even look at. The way she talked was almost revolting.
"Diego, are you even listening—"
"Stop!" I snapped, slamming my fists on the desk!
"Why?" She gasped. "Today is the full moon and Davina is nowhere to be found. Why would your sons take her away?"
"I don't know…" I shrugged, as my lips curled into a mocking smile. "I think you are in a better position to answer that."
"What do you mean?"
"Isn't that your specialty? Seduction and greediness. She probably thought my boys would be the next Alphas, and she wants to snag a piece of the cake!"
