A portal opened directly into Aiden's room at Ravens Grave. He stepped through first, with Laela and Arianna following close behind.
All three wore really blissful smiles.
The portal sealed shut behind them, and Laela moved toward the bed and sat on its edge.
Arianna joined her, settling beside her with a contented sigh.
Aiden stood near the window, with his gaze drifting out toward the darkened city beyond.
Night had fallen over Dragonhold while they were away. Which also meant that this was his time to return back to the dragons in this pocket domain.
He turned back toward them.
"I have to go now," he said.
Both women looked at him. Their expressions changed a bit but neither protested, instead they nodded in understanding.
Aiden raised his hand and a time variant materialized beside him, pulled from exactly one second prior.
