She looked at Aeris with the same warmth. "And you've brought someone."
"Aeris," Aiden said.
Thera inclined her head toward Aeris, who inclined hers back, and they understood each other.
"Come in," Thera said.
They stepped inside, and Thera moved toward a table at the center of the room where several open texts were spread out alongside what looked like administrative notes.
"How are your children?" she asked, settling into a chair and gesturing for them to sit as well.
"They've grown wings, and now they just fly in everyone's faces." Aiden said amusingly while sitting down.
Thera laughed. She looked genuinely pleased by this. "And Laela? Arianna? Uriel?"
"All well," Aiden said.
She held his gaze for a moment, then moved on with a nod, "So what brings you here?"
