Chapter 2 - The backstory the lore

The Elara Origin: The Mother of Mind and the Beginning of the Gifted

Passed down in whispers. Buried in journals. This is how it began…

Long ago, in a quiet forest town lived a widow healer with three children:

• Finn, the ambitious eldest

• Aron, the gentle middle son

• Aria, the youngest daughter

One day, a mysterious woman and her 15-year-old daughter arrived seeking help. The girl was sick with a strange illness no one had seen before — her body weakening by the hour. The mother had journeyed far, having heard stories of a healer whose hands could pull life back from the brink.

The healer, touched by the woman's desperation and urged by her son Aron — who saw the sick girl and felt an instant bond — agreed to help. Using everything she knew, she nursed the girl back to life.

Grateful beyond words, the mysterious woman revealed her secret:

She came from a forgotten bloodline — gifted with abilities to heal not only bodies, but minds — using telekinesis, telepathy, and mental clarity. Though she couldn't heal her own daughter using her gift, she knew these powers could be taught… and she offered to pass them on to the healer's children as a gift.

The healer, intrigued and hopeful, agreed.

For years, the woman trained Finn, Aron, and Aria in the powers of the mind. Only later did she allow her daughter, Kara, to join them — once she was strong enough to handle the weight of the gift.

Over time, Aron and Kara fell in love, their connection deepening with each lesson. And as the woman taught, she finally revealed the rarest power her bloodline held:

Teleportation — the ability to fold space and step through it.

She taught only her daughter that skill, believing it too dangerous for others. Her origins remained a mystery — but her power was very real.

The Fracture and the Flight

When the healer passed away, the children were nearly grown:

• Finn: 21

• Aron: 20

• Aria: 16

Kara's mother, now like family, vowed to stay and care for them. But Finn, who had always felt like the outsider, grew jealous. Before disappearing, he stole one of Kara's mother's journals — one focused on mind manipulation and control.

Aron, Kara, and Aria searched for years with no success.

Eventually, Kara's mother passed too — but before she did, she made them promise to retrieve the stolen journal… and keep the gift out of the wrong hands.

Birth of the Tribe

With Finn spreading dangerous knowledge, Aron and Kara decided to build a tribe — a hidden sanctuary of those who would use the gift to protect, not dominate.

They met Bishop Valentine, an explorer who had once encountered Finn and offered his help. With Bishop's support and a few trusted allies, they trained others and grew the Elara Tribe — deep in the Amazon.

Fifteen years of war followed as they hunted Finn and his followers.

Eventually, they recovered the stolen journal and destroyed Finn and his teachings.

Legacy of Love

In the midst of it all, Aron and Kara had a son — Yusef Elara.

He was the child of the Gifted and the Traveler's Bloodline.

Kara, after losing her mother, never spoke of her true origins again. She locked away her mother's remaining journals, keeping them safe.

The tribe thrived… until darkness returned.

The Fall of the Elara Tribe

"Every tribe has two roots: one that grows deep, and one that strangles it from within."

The Elara Tribe flourished in the heart of the Amazon — a lush, sacred place hidden by psychic barriers and grown by telekinetic architecture. Time passed. The children of the founding families became teachers, leaders, protectors.

At the center were the King and Queen — Aron and Kara Elara — respected not only for their power, but their wisdom and unity.

Their son, Yusef, now 25, was being prepared to one day take their place.

But power, even when earned, breeds resentment.

Doubt in the Council

Whispers started in the Council of Founders.

Some believed Kara was wrong to withhold her mother's journals, fearing she was guarding truths meant for all.

She had sealed them away — fearful that the same knowledge that corrupted Finn could rise again. But not everyone agreed.

Bishop Valentine, still loyal to the throne, tried to keep the peace. He reminded them what they had built, what they had survived.

But the whispers had already found ears.

One man in particular… was listening more closely than the rest.

Enter: Maxwell Lex

Maxwell Lex was not born into the tribe. He was a powerful telekinetic — calm, articulate, and charismatic.

Recruited and trained like others.

But what the Elara didn't know was that Maxwell was the son of one of Finn's original soldiers, raised in secret to carry on his father's mission.

To him, the Elara weren't saviors — they were hoarders of godlike power, too weak to use it for control.

Maxwell began turning the council against Aron and Kara.

He spoke of freedom, of equal knowledge, of a new era.

And then… he struck.

The Coup

In a single night, the tribe turned.

Loyalists were hunted. Founders divided.

Maxwell led a coordinated uprising, using telekinetic assassins and rebel students to storm the palace grove.

Bishop tried to protect the royal family — but it was too late.

Aron and Kara Elara were killed, along with most of their allies.

The journals were never found — hidden in a place only Kara had access to.

The last to escape was their son:

Yusef Elara

Scarred. Alone.

The final true heir to the bloodline of Kara and Aron.

He ran with the help of Bishop's old contacts, leaving behind the only home he'd ever known.

Not for revenge — but for survival.

Aftermath

Maxwell took control of the tribe.

He branded Yusef a traitor.

He began reshaping the Elara into a new empire, training his elite followers in mental domination, warfare, and weaponized psychic control.

But in secret, he searched.

For the journals…

For Yusef…

And one day, for Yusef's child.

The Hidden Life of Yusef Elara (aka David Docks)

"He changed his name, but not his blood."

Escape from the Ashes

Yusef Elara ran with nothing but instinct, grief, and a warning from his dying mother echoing in his mind:

"They'll come for you… and one day, for your child."

With the help of secret allies, he fled north — out of the jungle, across borders, and finally to the place Bishop once spoke of in whispers:

Tinley, a small California city

Forgettable to most. Safe to a fugitive.

There, he erased himself.

Yusef Elara became David Docks — a quiet, mysterious man with sharp eyes and the soul of a king hidden under a hoodie.

Building a New Life

David opened a small record and instrument shop with a local named Mike, a kind man who never asked too many questions.

He learned to speak with an American accent, blend in, and pay cash.

At night, he trained in secret — perfecting his gifts, sharpening them, always watching for shadows in the crowd.

He never used his powers in public.

Not even to save a falling glass.

Because the day someone saw him was the day Maxwell Lex would find him.

But fate had other plans.

Meeting Vanessa

David met Vanessa at a community art event. She was warm, grounded, and had a sharp tongue that cut through his defenses.

He tried to stay distant. But like Aron and Kara before him, love wasn't something he could escape.

"You've got the eyes of a man who's lost a kingdom," she once said.

He smiled. He didn't deny it.

He told her the truth — eventually.

Not everything. But enough.

And when their son Dyson was born, David knew two things:

1. The tribe would come again — for his blood.

2. Dyson would one day need to know who he really was.

Preparing Dyson (in secret)

David didn't teach Dyson openly.

He made it a game.

They called it "The Imagination Trials."

"Pretend you can move this pencil without touching it."

"Teleport across the room. Use only your thoughts."

Dyson laughed and played. He didn't know it was real.

But the exercises trained his focus, sharpened his intuition, and started waking up the ancestral gifts in his DNA.

Even Vanessa didn't know the full extent.

Not yet.

But Aria did.

Aria's Return

One day, David's long-lost aunt Aria — sister of Aron — arrived at his shop.

Older. Wiser. Holding ancient journals, maps, and truths gathered over decades.

She had spent years exploring the world, looking for traces of Kara's people, the teleporters who taught her mother.

She found texts, legends, forgotten temples — and she brought it all to David.

"The bloodline didn't end. It's evolving."

"Teach your son… but hide him well."

For the next eight years, David and Aria studied together.

Until her death.

And then David was alone again.

Just him, Mike, Vanessa… and Dyson.

The End of David Docks

Maxwell eventually found him.

A spy — a woman dating Mike — slipped word to the tribe.

They sent soldiers: elite telekinetic assassins raised in the new regime.

They found David outside his music shop, just as he was closing.

He fought. He held them off longer than anyone expected.

But in the end… he fell.

Mike found his body in the alley.

And Dyson… was left without a father.

But not without a legacy.
