Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 – “Poison in the Garden”

The days in the Sahputra mansion passed quietly—too quietly.

But beneath the soft laughter of children and the warmth of reconciliations, something dark was brewing.

Liora's Secret Plan

Liora stood by the window of her new home—a modest apartment provided by her parents after her release from jail.

She held Lilith in her arms, the baby's cheeks rosy and full of life.

But Liora's eyes were distant. Cold.

> "You'll be my greatest weapon, Lilith… You will take back what should've been mine."

On the table beside her lay scattered pages—old articles, photos of Fini and Calvin smiling, and a detailed map of the Sahputra estate.

Liora's obsession had grown silent but deeper. This time, she wouldn't attack directly.

This time, she'd plant doubt, destroy trust—from the inside.

Akihiro's Sudden Illness

Back at the mansion, Fini's soft giggle echoed through the halls as she played with little Akihiro, who had just turned one.

But by the afternoon, something changed.

The boy began to sweat, whimpering, his face pale.

> "Calvin!" Fini screamed. "Something's wrong—he's burning up!"

They rushed him to the hospital. Machines beeped. Nurses moved quickly. Fini held her son's hand, praying like she hadn't in months.

> "Please, stay with me, Akihiro. Please…"

Another Threatening Letter

While Fini sat beside Akihiro's hospital bed, Calvin returned home briefly to collect clothes and Akihiro's comfort blanket.

But what he found on the doorstep froze him.

A white envelope with no name.

Inside, typed in bold letters:

> "Your daughter Lilith will be next. Keep Fini quiet, or watch your world burn."

Calvin's hands clenched.

> "Enough is enough."

He took the letter and drove back to the hospital—but on the way, his mind spun.

> "How did they know about Lilith? About Akihiro's condition? Someone… someone inside the mansion is leaking information."

---

Trust Begins to Crack

At the hospital, Fini had calmed down, Akihiro's fever slowly responding to treatment.

She noticed the storm in Calvin's eyes.

> "What is it?"

> "We got another letter."

He told her everything—and her face drained of color.

> "Lilith… You think she's in danger?"

> "I don't know. But someone in our home can't be trusted."

Their once-perfect bubble was beginning to break.

Arora's Redemption

Back at the mansion, Arora gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

She held him close, tears streaming freely down her cheeks.

> "Caled Junior Aiden," she whispered. "You're my second chance."

When Fini visited her in the hospital, holding a bouquet, Arora was speechless.

> "You came?"

> "You're my friend," Fini said softly. "Of course I came."

Arora burst into tears.

> "I was so cruel to you. And you still chose to forgive me. I don't deserve this kindness."

> "You do now," Fini said, placing her hand over hers. "Because you're choosing to change."

From that day, Fini and Arora became best friends—sharing motherhood, memories, and quiet strength.

Arora watched how Fini carried herself—despite all the scandals, heartbreak, and betrayal.

> "I want to be like you," she said one evening. "Stronger. Softer. Better."

> "Then start by protecting what matters," Fini whispered.

Darkness Still Lurks

That night, while everyone in the mansion slept, someone stepped quietly through the hallway—leaving behind a small device under the living room couch.

A wire tapped into the security camera feeds.

A signal blinked red.

Far away, Liora smiled.

> "Let's see how strong your little friendship is, Fini."
