Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – Bigger on the Inside

The Doctor clung to the TARDIS doorway, staring out into the endless white expanse unfolding before him. It wasn't a calm void—far from it. It was a silent battleground between universes. Cracks split open like wounds in reality, spewing fragments of entire worlds. Among the swirling debris—furniture, shattered rooftops, chunks of asphalt—people floated.

Some were unconscious, spinning slowly in nothingness. Others were awake, panic etched across their faces. The Doctor squinted, scanning them, and his eyebrows shot up.

"Oh, brilliant. Just what I needed. A collapsing multiverse… with celebrity cameos."

Not far away, a towering man wreathed in flames glared at him like a predator sizing up its prey. Endeavor. His voice boomed through the white void:

"Hey! Who the hell are you? Is this some villain's doing?"

The Doctor let out a sharp laugh.

"A villain? Ha! If this were a villain's plan, at least there'd be rules. No, no, this—this is pure cosmic chaos. And by the way…" He tilted his head toward the blazing inferno. "Mind turning down the barbecue? We don't want anyone roasted, yeah?"

Before Endeavor could reply, another voice trembled into the storm of silence:

"Where… where am I? What's going on?"

It was Usagi Tsukino, hair floating like golden ribbons in slow motion, confusion and fear in her wide eyes.

Further back, a man stood calmly with his arms folded, gaze sharp as a blade. When he finally spoke, his voice was deep, steady:

"There's no Cosmos in this place… but you…" His eyes narrowed at the Doctor, reading him like a mystery. "You radiate tremendous vitality."

Shiryu of the Dragon.

The Doctor's grin widened.

"Wonderful! Everyone's worried, everyone's confused. Fantastic. Here's the deal: I'm the Doctor, this is a disaster, and if you don't move, it's going to be an even bigger disaster. See that blue box? Everyone inside, now!"

Endeavor scoffed, pointing at the TARDIS in disbelief.

"You're joking. We won't all fit in there."

"Oh, I love when they say that!" The Doctor gestured dramatically to the open doors. "Go on, fireball. Take a peek."

Cautiously, Endeavor floated closer, followed by Usagi and Shiryu. And the moment they crossed the threshold, they froze.

"It's… it's bigger on the inside!" Usagi gasped, eyes sparkling with wonder.

"This defies all logic," Shiryu muttered.

Even Endeavor's scowl faltered.

"Welcome to the TARDIS," the Doctor said, spinning on his heels like a showman. "Now, chop chop! People floating unconscious out there, and time is not on our side!"

But before they could react, the space around them shuddered like glass about to shatter. Cracks spiderwebbed across the void, splitting open wider and wider. And then came the chaos: howling winds tore through from other worlds, dragging storms, rain, and shards of alien skies. The white void twisted into a raging interdimensional tempest.

Thunder roared. Black clouds bled through the fissures, spinning violently. Rain lashed like liquid knives. The TARDIS groaned, buffeted by winds that had no right to exist.

The Doctor bolted for the console, yanking levers and slamming switches as the floor rattled beneath him.

"Come on, old girl! Hold it together, just a bit longer!"

Endeavor and Shiryu dove out into the maelstrom, hauling limp bodies toward the blue box, dodging debris and furious gusts. Usagi, trembling but determined, pushed a boy toward the door with all her strength. Among those they dragged inside, the Doctor spotted familiar faces: Komatsu from Toriko, Denki Kaminari and Mineta from BNHA, Stella Vermillion from Rakudai Kishi—all unconscious, dead weight in a storm that wanted to swallow them whole.

Then came the sound—a deep, bone-shaking crack. An entire city fragment burst through a tear, suspended in midair, buildings collapsing as they drifted like broken toys. The Doctor's jaw tightened.

"Oh, no. This isn't just breaking—it's collapsing. Whole universes are spilling in!"

He slammed a fist against the console.

"Don't you dare give up on me now, sweetheart! Not when I'm just starting to enjoy myself!"

The TARDIS alarms wailed like a wounded animal. More cracks. More chaos. And then, people began to fall—conscious, screaming, clawing at empty space as the storm swallowed them.

The Doctor spun to face his unlikely crew, hair wild, eyes blazing with fire.

"This is getting ugly! Fireball, Knight, Moon Bunny—grab everyone you can and shove them inside! I'll try to keep reality from tearing itself apart!"

He dashed back to the console as the interdimensional storm roared, swallowing the last remnants of order. And this… this was only the beginning.
