Minutes after his fight with Blunt's goons, Light had made his way to the locker room. He opened his cabinet, and there it was, his superhero costume.
A sleek grey suit with matching sleeves and pants, accented by electric blue gloves, boots, and a mask. The word "BLOW" was written across the chest area, and it stood out like a warning.
He placed his palm over his face, clearly embarrassed.
"Ah… I forgot he called himself One Blow Man."
Light stood in front of his locker, still debating whether he should wear the costume, when an angry voice suddenly echoed down the hall.
"Light! Light!"
He turned, concern flashing in his eyes.
He recognized that voice—it was Jade.
She stormed toward him, anger in every step.
Without warning, she swung at him.
Light barely dodged. Her strike grazed his shoulder and obliterated his locker behind him
"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked angrily.
"What do you mean?" Light replied, confused.
"Your powers they're killing you!"
Light chuckled under his breath.
Guess the boy had some pretty good friends, he thought.
"Why are you laughing?" Jade snapped.
"You're killing yourself—!"
Light quickly cut in, forcing a calm expression.
"It was metamorphosis."
"Metamorphosis?" she repeated, confused. Her hand, once raised in anger, slowly dropped.
"Yes. It's completed," Light said confidently
She stared at him, clearly unconvinced.
"Okay… prove it."
Light smiled softly.
He raised his arm and held up a single finger.
Closing his eyes, he focused, channeling Qi to his fingertip. A soft glow formed, pulsing with life.
Then, the glow shifted.
He altered the Qi's nature—thunder element.
Streaks of lightning danced across his hand, crackling with quiet intensity.
Jade's eyes widened. Her mouth hung open in shock. Then she rushed forward and pulled him into a tight hug, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Finally… Your powers—they're back!"
The hug lasted for a few minutes.
Before Light said sarcastically.
"You know I've got a fight coming up, right?"
Jade blinked, then awkwardly pulled back and gave him a light push toward the door.
She smiled.
"Go win, Light."
He returned her smile. "Sure thing."
He put on his costume and turned, he walked confidently, tuning out the murmurs and whispers from the other students.
He entered a long, dimly lit, with a single glowing exit at the end. His footsteps echoed, steady and calm.
As he stepped into the open, the noise exploded.
Boos from thousands of cadets, but didn't flinch, he climbed the steps slowly, each one deliberate, striding toward the center of the stage, where Blunt was already waiting. He grinned, saying, "I thought you ran away."
Scott didn't reply.
He just stared, eyes burning with quiet rage.
Blunt grinned.
"I've never seen you angry before. But take it from someone who's always angry, it's not gonna help."
Light didn't answer. His expression remained cold, his jaw clenched.
Then, an announcement thundered through the arena, the voice roaring like a lion:
The following match is a friendly bout between two final-year students.
On my left—Light Knightfall!"
The crowd erupted into loud boos, unified and mocking.
"And on my right—Blunt Dusk!"
The arena shook with cheers and applause.
"This is a sanctioned friendly match. It will end when one fighter is knocked out, out of bounds or yields, now... BEGIN!"
Blunt didn't waste a second. He snapped both arms forward and shouted:
"FULL LASER!"
A blazing beam of blue energy exploded from his hands, surging straight at Light.
Light jumped, flipping into the air to dodge the blast.
He's trying to kill me… Light thought grimly.
"he dodged that?"
"That trash has some moves."
Murmurs rippled through the crowd.
Blunt grinned even wider.
"Now that you're in the air, how are you gonna move?"
He cut the beam, then quickly redirected his hand upward.
He roared, "HALF LASER!"
A sharp, concentrated beam of light shot from his palm, targeting Light mid-air.
Ha… I've got you now, Light! Blunt thought, grinning maniacally.
Oh… he can't dodge now!" the announcer roared.
"Blunt's about to end him!"
"It's over!"
Light won't be able to dodge that… Jade thought, her heart racing.
Then—
She screamed.
"Light dodge!!"
"BOUND STEP!"
A hiss of compressed air jets burst from Light's feet, blasting him sideways in a blink. The laser missed by inches, slicing through the air where he'd just been.
"What?!"
"Impossible!"
"Did he have that power all along?!"
Jade jumped from her seat, barely able to contain her excitement.
"Yes! Yes!"
He landed smoothly, untouched, then casually rubbed his shoulder.
" Is that all?"
Blunt stood frozen, eyes and mouth wide open.
"How… did you do that?"
Light smirked.
"Take a guess."
Blunt's eyes narrowed, gears turning fast.
"Your powers… they've changed…"
Then his eyes widened, like a puzzle piece clicking into place.
"Metamorphosis."
Light didn't respond. He just stood there, calm and confident.
"Heh… hahaha… HAHAHA!"
Blunt threw his head back in a crazed laugh.
"So you finally did it!"
He pointed directly at Light, grinning ear to ear.
"I've been waiting years for this!"
The crowd murmured in confusion.
"What is Blunt doing?"
"Are they… talking?"
"Is he laughing?"
"Light..." Jade called softly
"This I good... I've been waiting for a long time."
"I don't know if you forgot," he said, grinning, "but if I win, that'll be my twelfth victory against you. If you win—well, it'll be your 12th."
He thrust his hands behind him and unleashed a rapid series of energy bursts—BOOM BOOM BOOM—propelling himself forward like a missile.
"So may the best man wi—"
DUM!
BOUND STEP.
In the blink of an eye, Light vanished. It was like teleportation. He reappeared right in front of Blunt.
The entire arena gasped—shock rippling through thousands of cadets.
Blunt didn't even have time to react. His eyes widened—
BAM!
Light's punch landed clean and brutal, slamming into Blunt's chest and launching him across the arena, tearing through the ground as dust and debris erupted like a shockwave, shattering part of the arena on impact.
Light stood firm, his fist still clenched, eyes burning with fury.
He said coldly. " Less talking, more fighting."
Blunt groaned as he stood up, blood dripping from his lip. He wiped it off and glared at Light with rising rage.
He powered up again, energy crackling wildly in his palms.
"FULL LASER!!"
Another massive blue beam roared to life, surging toward Light like a cannon of pure destruction.
BOUND STEP!
BOOM!
Light vanished—then reappeared in front of Blunt, slamming a devastating punch into his stomach, launching him into the air.
Before Blunt could even react, Light appeared above him.
WHAM!
A crushing blow from above sent Blunt crashing down into the arena floor, stone and dust exploding on impact.
Light began walking toward him slowly, eyes locked on his opponent.
Blunt groaned, struggling to get up.
"H-Had enough yet, Light?" he muttered, trying to sound cocky.
But his body betrayed him—knees bent, one palm on the ground, vomit splattering the floor as he gasped for air.
This guy… he's going to kill me… Blunt thought in despair.
He forced himself upright, legs shaking violently. He wiped his face, his expression twisting—rage and despair fighting for control.
"All because of that speed… that speed!!"
Light smiled calmly.
"Hit me."
Blunt blinked, confused. "Huh?"
"I'm going to stand right here," Light said confidently. "I won't move. Hit me with everything you've got."
Cocky bastard… Blunt thought, gritting his teeth.
He chuckled darkly.
"Heh… I'll teach you a lesson…"
Blunt planted his feet, veins glowing, screaming as he charged his energy.
The crowd murmured in confusion.
"What's he doing?"
"Why's he powering up his beam?"
"Light's just standing there!"
"DO SOMETHING!" Jade shouted at the screen.
Blunt roared.
"DIE—ALL LASER!!"
BUZZZZZ!!
A gigantic blast erupted from his hands, tearing through the arena like a supernova. Half the arena disintegrated. Emergency shields activated instantly to protect the audience.
Blunt dropped to his knees, panting.
"Die, you motherfu—huh?"
From the smoke and ash, Light emerged, untouched.
His body shimmered with a metallic hue, glinting like iron.
"IRON BODY."
"His body turned to iron?!"
"Metamorphosis…"
"Damn. He did it."
"Ho....!" The announcer screamed, "That power isn't in Light database, did he finally do it...! Metamorphosis!!"
Blunt stared, wide-eyed.
"My attack… it did nothing…"
Light walked forward slowly, with a calm, nihilistic expression on his face. He grabbed Blunt by the hair—SMACK!—a brutal backhand sent Blunt staggering.
"You're trash, Blunt."
Blunt roared, trying to charge another blast—but Light's hand turned to solid iron. He caught Blunt's palm and crushed it.
"AAAGHH!!" Blunt screamed in agony.
Light leaned in close.
"Hearing your monologues is hilarious. You act like you know so much about me… and I don't even care about you. I know nothing about you.
You built your world around beating me.
But I never even saw you as a wall I had to climb.
At best… You were the floor I stepped on."
Let me ask you—how does it feel? Does it feel like old times?
"Groveling at my feet again. Some things never change."
"ARRGH!" Blunt screamed, firing a desperate blast in Light's face—but Light shrugged it off.
He grabbed Blunt by the throat and lifted him into the air, crushing his windpipe.
"And you tried to kill me," Light said coldly.
Blunt's face twisted in panic. He tried to signal the referee, but Light's grip tightened.
"This is the end, Blunt."
"GREAT PALM STRIKE!!"
A thunderous blow struck Blunt's chest, launching him across the arena like a missile.
A drone caught him midair and flew him off toward the medical ward.
The arena fell into stunned silence.
They had just witnessed the eternal loser
Light Knightfall defeated one of the school's top prospects.
The announcer's voice cracked through the silence like thunder:
"...AND THE WINNER IS LIGHT KNIGHTFALL!!"
