His shockwave had no effect at all—like a silent firework. Vegeta charged out of the flames and drove a punch into Jeice's face.
But at the end of the day, Jeice was still a member of the Ginyu Force. Even though Goku had humiliated him, it hadn't shattered his confidence. He quickly adjusted and began to counterattack.
Ginyu, too, gradually adapted to Goku's body. From being completely suppressed by Gohan at the start, he could now dodge while striking back. He noticed it himself—his confidence rising the more they fought. After kicking Gohan away, he fired a powerful purple shockwave.
Gohan's battle power had been boosted by the Grand Elder, but he was still too young and lacked real combat experience. Just as the shockwave was about to swallow him, Goku suddenly appeared and knocked it aside.
Ginyu gritted his teeth. "You're hurt this badly and you still dare to interfere?"
Goku held his chest wound and spoke with difficulty. "I'm like you—I'm gradually getting used to your trash body too. Gohan, let's fight together. Even if he's starting to adapt to my body, he still can't draw out all of its power yet. Before he fully masters it, we have to finish him."
That said, Ginyu was still using a body with a battle power of one hundred and eighty thousand. Killing him wouldn't be easy.
Even with father and son teaming up, Goku's injuries were very real—he could only provide support.
Right then, Vegeta knocked Jeice down yet again.
He fought viciously, showing no mercy. Jeice's battle armor was smashed to pieces.
In the next instant, a blue beam tore across the sky and swallowed Jeice completely. The explosion that followed was deafening, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
Jeice was blown apart so completely that not even fragments remained.
Goku shouted, "Vegeta! You didn't have to kill him!"
Vegeta sneered. "Doing good deeds—one person is enough. Don't drag me into it. And you… even if you train your whole life, you'll never become a Super Saiyan. Only I have the qualifications! You still haven't dealt with Ginyu? Fine. I'll deal with him for you."
With that, he shot forward.
Maybe it was because it was Kakarot's body—Ginyu's battle lust grew even stronger. Ginyu had only just adapted to that body, and faced with Vegeta's overwhelming assault, he couldn't react in time. Every strike brought him searing pain.
In the blink of an eye, Vegeta smashed him down from the sky. Ginyu couldn't get back up.
Even though it was Goku's body, Vegeta didn't hold back at all. He dove down, intending to deliver the finishing blow.
Suddenly, Ginyu released a golden light that blanketed the heavens. A golden flash sphere shot straight into the sky.
He was trying to swap bodies again.
Vegeta had never seen a move like that before. And with the blinding light, his speed involuntarily slowed.
Goku, on the other hand, was excited. Enduring the pain of his wound, he charged straight into the flash sphere.
Time seemed to freeze.
Vegeta was forced to halt. Gohan's eyes widened as he stared at what was happening.
When the light faded, Ginyu was back in his original body. He clutched his chest and dropped to the ground, grinding his teeth. "That bastard… actually came out to get in my way!"
He'd originally meant to swap with Vegeta.
He never expected that at the exact moment of the switch, Goku would rush in, and the two would end up returning to their original bodies.
Even though Goku had been beaten half to death by Vegeta, he still smiled. "Great… I'm finally back in my original body."
He felt like he'd been brought back from the dead. If he had to live forever in Ginyu's body, he'd rather die.
Vegeta hovered in midair, staring at them in disbelief. He muttered, "What just happened…? What did that guy do just now?"
Gohan recognized it immediately. The one lying on the ground was his dad again, while Ginyu had returned to his own appearance.
Ginyu looked at the wound in his chest, teeth clenched.
With injuries like this, he couldn't fight.
He had to swap with Vegeta.
Goku saw through his intent. Struggling up from the ground, he forced out a Kamehameha.
But he was too badly hurt—his vision was already blurred, and he couldn't control his ki at all. The Kamehameha grazed past Ginyu's body and flew off into the distance.
His last bit of strength vanished, and he collapsed to the ground.
Seeing that Goku was even worse off than he was, Ginyu laughed. "You miscalculated, didn't you? This time, I won't let you interfere again."
Goku lay there, heart pounding wildly.
If Ginyu took Vegeta's body, everyone would be finished.
But Vegeta didn't understand what that technique was. He charged down again. Just as Ginyu was about to unleash that golden light—
Vegeta's figure vanished from Ginyu's sight.
He reappeared behind him and began striking repeatedly.
Vegeta wasn't even guarding against anything—this was simply his usual attack pattern.
Seeing Ginyu badly wounded, Vegeta vented his resentment on him, refusing to let up. After beating him down, he fired continuous red shockwaves that rained down on Ginyu's position. Explosions roared nonstop, and the ground was torn up and thrown into the air.
When the smoke cleared, Ginyu crawled out from the rubble.
He barely managed to open his mouth—
Vegeta rushed in again and beat him senseless once more.
With a body worth over a hundred thousand in battle power, even though the pain from the wound left him unable to fight back, his durability was still there.
And from time to time… he even smiled.
Only Goku understood.
Ginyu was repeating the same trick—first damage his own body further, then swap with Vegeta's.
Vegeta grabbed the horn on Ginyu's head and hurled him into the sky, then chased after him.
Ginyu wore a creepy smile. Midair, he quickly steadied his breathing, spread his arms, and released an intense golden light. The sphere plunged downward, heading straight for Vegeta.
There was no pressure at all. Vegeta assumed it was just a normal shockwave and charged straight into it without hesitation.
Just as it was about to hit.
The sphere suddenly burst apart like a flashbang.
Golden light swallowed the entire sky.
Ginyu's pupils abruptly shrank.
When the light vanished, Vegeta froze in midair, completely clueless about what had happened.
Then a frog dropped to the ground.
"Ginyu" also fell right after it—
But he landed on all fours, in the exact same posture as the frog, tongue hanging out.
In the instant the sphere was about to strike Vegeta, Goku had grabbed a nearby frog and thrown it up.
And so… Ginyu swapped bodies with the frog.
