"What happened…?"
Vegeta watched "Ginyu" hop away like a frog, completely at a loss. Even now, he still hadn't figured out what had happened. Meanwhile, Goku lay on the ground laughing uncontrollably, and Gohan landed, helped him up, and had him lean against a nearby rock.
Seeing Goku's grin Vegeta gradually understood. He dropped down in front of him, and Goku said, "You really messed my body up pretty bad, Vegeta."
Vegeta snorted. "Quit yapping. What the hell happened to that Ginyu guy?"
Goku laughed. "The one that ran off is just a frog. The frog over there is Ginyu. You'll understand once you look."
Vegeta was a little surprised. He turned around, and that frog seemed to shudder too. It opened its mouth and let out a croaking "guh-guh." Vegeta walked over, hands on hips, and said, "I don't care why you turned into a frog. I'm stepping on you first."
The "frog" practically went stiff with fear—if it even had hair, it would've had every strand standing on end. It hopped forward with all its might. Not only had Ginyu become trapped in a frog's body, he'd also lost all his power.
Vegeta laughed loudly, strolling behind the frog at an unhurried pace. Goku said slowly, "Let him go, Vegeta. Ginyu's like that now—there's no way he can do anything bad anymore."
Vegeta stopped, sneering. "Fine. I'll let you live. Besides, just thinking about the life you're going to have from now on makes me pity you."
Goku couldn't help laughing too. Ginyu had once been the strongest warrior in the universe, yet he'd fallen to this fate. Honestly, it was worse than death. Now, even if he jumped into the water, some fish bigger than him would swallow him whole.
Seeing how battered Goku was, Gohan asked, "Dad… are there really no senzu beans left?"
Goku nodded. He'd brought a lot from Karin, but he'd nearly finished them during gravity training in the spaceship.
Vegeta walked over and said with a cold smile, "If I wanted to kill you two right now, it'd be easy."
The atmosphere instantly turned heavy. Gohan stared at him, tense, but Goku said, "Relax, Gohan. He absolutely won't kill us now."
"That's right," Vegeta said. "You two know how to use the Dragon Balls, and you can help me fight Frieza. Especially you, Kakarot—I need your strength. Come on. Get inside the ship. I'm treating his injuries."
Gohan hesitated, clearly not wanting to carry Goku inside. Vegeta said coldly, "Believe me or don't. Then go die outside with Kakarot. Frieza will be back any minute."
With that, he headed into the spaceship alone. Goku said softly, "Gohan, it's fine. To Vegeta, the enemy right now is Frieza—not us."
Gohan hesitated for a long time. But seeing Goku on the verge of passing out, he gritted his teeth and followed Vegeta inside.
They entered the medical room. Vegeta placed Goku into the healing pod—Frieza's liquid medical device. Immersed in the special solution, even the most serious injuries would slowly recover.
They still had plenty of time.
Far away from the spaceship, Frieza kept beating on Nail. No matter how hard Frieza hit him Nail still refused to reveal how to make wishes with the Dragon Balls. Frieza also knew he couldn't kill Nail, or he'd never get immortality. And with Goku's physique, he wouldn't need long to recover his stamina anyway.
Besides, Dende would be arriving soon. He could help them make the wish.
While Goku was healing, Vegeta went to fetch battle suits for Gohan to wear. The fabric was soft and extremely elastic—no matter how you pulled it, it wouldn't tear, unless it took a heavy impact. After Gohan put it on, he couldn't feel any weight at all, and his movements became lighter.
For some reason, Vegeta suddenly showed a pained expression and kept wiping sweat from his forehead.
At that moment, Creed also returned to the spaceship. As if he already knew everything that had happened, he came straight to the medical room without asking a single question. And of course, Vegeta didn't explain anything either. In his eyes, having someone like Creed only made dealing with Frieza easier.
Ever since arriving on this planet, Vegeta had been on high alert. Even though he'd eaten a senzu bean once, his stamina was already badly overdrawn. Before Frieza returned, he leaned against the healing pod… and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Frieza was still "fighting" Nail.
Calling it a fight was generous—it was a one-sided beating. Nail bent over, hands braced on his knees, panting heavily, while Frieza stood with his hands behind his back, looking completely relaxed.
Their power levels differed by more than five hundred thousand. This wasn't a battle you could win by trying harder. Nail couldn't even force Frieza to retreat.
Frieza chuckled. "I'm only using my left hand, and you're already this tired. I think you should just talk. Tell me how to make a wish with the Dragon Balls."
Nail kept panting, then suddenly released a powerful shockwave. Frieza was right in front of him—the blast slammed straight into Frieza, erupting with an explosion strong enough to blow a mountain apart.
But when the smoke and dust cleared…
Frieza still stood there unharmed, not even a speck of dust on him.
"Why do you love wasting your strength so much?" Frieza said. "That level of attack is useless against me—you know that. Since you already know you'll lose, why keep resisting in such a meaningless way? Is it because I killed your companions? Or are you just being stubborn and emotional?"
As he spoke, Frieza lightly raised his hand—and sent Nail flying.
Nail clutched his face as pain spread through his entire body, and he couldn't get back up.
"I'll treat this as my final warning," Frieza said. "Tell me right now how to make a wish with the Dragon Balls."
Nail lowered his hand and suddenly smiled. He said slowly, "Telling you now won't matter anyway. Dende is already close to the Earthlings. I'm sure he's already told them how to use the Dragon Balls."
"What?!" Frieza's pupils shrank violently. He gritted his teeth. "So you were stalling me!"
After saying that, he flew straight toward the spaceship's direction, not even taking time to finish Nail off.
He switched on his scouter… but there was no trace of the Ginyu Force at all.
He could never have imagined it—five elite warriors, all wiped out… and Captain Ginyu turned into a frog.
