Chapter 31 - Hook, line and sinker

"You!" she hissed in offense but couldn't actually argue.

Even as young as she was she was smart enough to understand that if I wasn't lying then she really couldn't make a deal on this level. Her father who headed the Greengrass family would be required to close a deal like this. That didn't mean she liked being called out on it though, it also certainly didn't help that I had managed to turn her own words against her.

"Now now, no reason to be upset. I'm sure your family would be quite interested in making such a deal. When we get to Hogwarts you can even use the owlery to send a letter about it. I'll keep the fruit in reserve till then if you'd like." I suggested with a grin.

"My father will easily prove that your fruit is a fraud then we'll see who is laughing then!" she said with a huff.

"You said you were told other fruits like that one exist as well. Are they the same with the darkness magic or different somehow?" Tracey asked curiously and Daphne listened in interest even if she was still a bit upset.

"Different. Each fruit is unique in what it does and can even be categorized into three groups based on what they do. The first group is called Logia and allows the one who ate it to create, control and become an elemental force like sand or lightning. My fruit falls in this category though is special because it allows the user to forcibly cancel the powers of other fruit eaters if they touch them. The price of that advantage is that the fruit doesn't allow it's eater to elementalize and causes injuries to hurt much more than normal." I explained while they listened with deep interest.-

"And the other two categories?" Daphne asked anger forgotten.

"The second is the Zoan type fruits that allows the eater to become something similar to an Animagus though much more perfect as you can take a hybrid form as well. This type of fruit is further broken down into three categories, ancient, normal and mythical variants. The first is dinosaur forms, the second is the normal species of nonmagical beasts and the third is the rarest type of fruit that allows the eater to take the form of magical creatures." I said thoroughly pleased by the interest they were showing.-

""Magical beast Animagus forms!?"" they both said in astonishment.

"No I was quite clear, similar but not actually Animagus magic. Anyways the third type of fruit is the most common but also the biggest gamble of them all unless you already knew what the fruit was about before eating it, Paramecia. These fruits are more conceptual in nature. Things like springs, pulling, strength, speed, bubbles or even just cleaning. The powers granted by these fruits can be strange or incredibly dangerous but their potential is limited only by the user themselves and the length their imagination can go to." I explained watching as expressions of desire and even the smallest hint of ambition crossed their faces.-

"How have we never heard of these fruits before if they are so powerful?" Daphne asked with a confused expression.

"That's because only I can get them. I won't explain how either, personal secret I'm afraid." I said with a smirk knowing they'd absolutely try and find out on their own anyways.

I put away the fruit in my inventory secretly using my trunk as cover before putting my trunk back up onto the shelf.

"You said you had other things as well right? What are they?" Tracey asked with a burning curiosity.

"Nothing that would likely be of interest to either of you. I already have certain customers in mind for these things anyways. I do however take commissions if you have anything specific you desire, might take me a while to find if I even can." I said as their faces lit up from disappointment to excitement.

'Hook, line and sinker. Gods I love the amulet of articulation.' I thought with a smirk.

Indeed this entire conversation had been influenced subtly by the amulet to convince these two to accept what I said as not only truth but something they wanted, downsides be damned. I wasn't really all that worried about introducing devil fruits to this world as if any world could fully integrate them into it this was it. Anything the fruits were capable of magic was also able to do and even the logia's weren't so overpowered here since there was more than enough willpower infused magics here that would likely hit a logia user. Naturally if I was going to introduce devil fruits en mass to this world I myself would try and get one I liked.-

If I had to choose actually I didn't want a zoan or logia fruit but rather a paramecia fruit. Specifically the Juku Juku no mi or Ripe ripe fruit that allows it's user to mature or decay anything or anyone they touch. I would otherwise like the Toshi Toshi no mi or Age Age fruit that allowed the user to control the aging process of any person or object. The reason I wanted either of these for myself was simple, profit. I could not even begin to list the amount of treasures that needed an ungodly amount of time to ripen or become valuable again.-

These fruits would allow me to speed up this process to harvest these treasures right away. Or in the case of something like say a fertilized egg incubating it in an instant. It kinda went without saying but these powers were also horrifying if used on a person as you could straight up age someone to the end of their possible lifespan and watch them keel over in an instant. Time based powers like this are both incredibly useful and dangerous as a result.-

As for zoan or logia fruits if I had to choose between the two I would only accept a mythical zoan or either the lightning or light logia or nothing at all. My reasoning was simple, speed was king. Both light and lightning were like top one and two fastest things in existence that we knew of with one of them being incredibly valuable for technology as well. Honestly though I doubted Whitebeard would go out of his way to grab the current user of any of these fruits in a way that would let him trade me the fruits they hold.
