"The fact I am actually considering you to be right is concerning." he said rubbing his forehead.
"I'm a merchant. Morally flexible is just the name of the game." I said with a shrug.
"Right, so moving on how long are you here for?" he asked changing the subject.
"A month. Not to worry I will not be imposing too much. I intend to travel across the world and collect a few things of interest before I leave." I said calmly.
"What things?" he asked with a frown.
"A few samples of dust, some of the bits of technology that would enrich the nonmagical side of my world without threatening the magical side and plants." I said calmly.
"Plants?" he questioned with a confused look.
"Indeed. You see while Remnant shares a great deal of plants from Earth for some inexplicable reason it also has a great many that simply don't exist there. For example those trees whose sap can be crafted into Grimm repellant. That species of tree simply doesn't exist in any other world as far as I know. Then again why would it? No other world has Grimm to stimulate that adaptation." I say calmly.
"I think I get it. You are interested in what these plants unique to here have to offer." he said in understanding.
"Quite. Now I do believe it would be best if we returned. Best not to have those two decide to come looking." I said as I began my walk back towards the house.
When we arrived Both ruby and Yang were clearly maybe two minutes at most from doing exactly the thing I thought they might. With smooth calm movements I took out my wand and waved it at the ruined door.-
The screws in the wood began to back out on their own and the remaining part of the door floated away from the doorframe. I spent sixty three system coins on a new fanciers wooden door that I took out and began to shave with magic to fit the doorframe snuggly. Once correctly sized I waved my wand holding hand and caused the screws to secure the door the the frame autonomously. Finally I added the doorknobs that I decided to have be made of amber with a blooming rose in it.-
"There, door paid for." I said satisfied.
"Roses? Seriously?" Qrow asked as he looked at the knobs.
"It is Ruby's house is it not? Roses seemed thematically fitting." I said with a shrug.
"If it was ONLY her house maybe but Tai and Yang also live here." he pointed out.
I rolled my eyes at that and waved my hand to carve out a coiling eastern style dragon on the doors face with the rose amber knobs being at the tip of it's tail.
"Happy?" I asked as I moved to put my wand away.
"Dad is going to be SOOO confused when he gets back." Yang said with a grin as she traced a finger over the dragons scales.
"That was awesome! Was that magic!? Can you do other stuff!? Did you really give Yang haki!? What's your semblance!?" Ruby started machine gunning questions.
"Yes, yes, we traded and Charge, respectively." I said answering all of her questions.
"What's it do?" she asked eagerly.
"It lets me collect electron energy from my surroundings for use. The glow I had before is just it's most basic shape. I'll need some time to figure out others." I explained calmly.
"You strip the surroundings of electrons? Isn't that really dangerous?" Ruby asked with huge eyes.
"I don't take the electrons themselves, just the energy they let off." I clarified.
"So like the crumbs left behind after eating all the cookies?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
I felt my eyebrow twitch at that crude comparison.
"Yes, something like that." I said with a patient nod.
"Can I also have haki?" she asked with her biggest puppy dog eyes.
"Cute but I have been told to talk to your father before making any more deals. His idea, terribly sorry." I say throwing Qrow under the buss without a lick of hesitation.
The man in question choked on the swallow of his flasks content hearing this.
"It's important. Tai would be pissed if he didn't get any say in something like this. He's already going to be pretty steamed that Yang did it." He said a little defensively.
"But Yang gets to do all this cool stuff now! She knocked out a squirrel by staring at it earlier!" Ruby whined.
"Seriously? Is that normal?" Qrow asked me with a concerned look.
"It's one of the three kinds of haki, relax. Theres conquerors, observation and armament haki. The first is limited to a small percentage of the naturally awakened population and is basically just pressing your willpower down on those around you, at least at the lowest level. The second kind is basically just extending your perception far away from you and at the highest level allows you to see into the future a few seconds. The final is armament that lets you create an invisible armor around yourself and anything you are touching that is almost impenetrable except by someone with either stronger haki or sheer power that exceeds your upper limit." I explained simply.
