Stephen usually acted quickly when sharing information. But now, his tone showed a seriousness Nicholas hadn't noticed before.
Nicholas was busy with different office files, making sure nothing got past him in his company when a worried Stephen walked straight into his office without knocking, which startled both of them.
"Sorry sir," he stated, standing very straight in Nicholas' office, "I've been tracking what Thomas has been doing lately."
Nicholas immediately picked interest, dropping the files in his hand and turned his chair around slowly, making it hard to know what he was thinking.
"Tell me more."
"He's been visiting places… not meeting investors, not seeing business competitors. He's going to South City."
Nicholas looked confused. "South City?"
"Yes. He's making friends with some shady people there. The kind of people Laura used to keep close by." Stephen paused.
"Sir, he's not targeting your company. Not yet. He's targeting you. Personally. Through her."
