Prolog

Divine Secret Domain, Cliff of Eternity was one of the most lethal places in the Central Continent. The Cliff of Eternity was often called the Abyss of Death, though some referred to it as the path to a higher realm. For countless millennia, the number of people who had fallen from this cliff was far too many to count; none had ever survived—including beings powerful enough to reach the very limits of the heavens.

At this moment, on the edge of the cliff, a black-haired, black-eyed young man leaned against the side of a boulder as tall as two grown men, staining his black clothes while his body was covered in open wounds. He had only been on top of that rock for a short while, yet a pool of blood had already formed beneath his feet.

His breathing was heavy, his chest rising and falling in a ragged rhythm that would make anyone who saw him shudder. Every muscle trembled, a sign that the last remnants of his strength were almost gone. If not for the boulder, he might have already fallen. Yet his eyes remained cold—calm like a sword sheathed in ice. No emotion, no hesitation. Only the faint curl of his lips, forming a sneer full of disdain.

Before him stood figures cloaked in darkness. Their gazes brimmed with arrogance, as though they regarded all life as nothing more than worthless dust. They were hunting something—something precious—and for that, they would not hesitate to slaughter anyone.

To the young man, those strong enough to terrify the world were nothing more than vile, cunning creatures. Slowly, he lifted his face. Even cornered, his eyes shone with arrogance and fury. Hatred burned brightly within them.

"My master spent his life trying to save the world. He helped countless people—not for gain, but simply because it was right. Yet just because of a secret he held, a secret not even certain, you killed him. You wiped out his entire bloodline, slaughtered those closest to him… Destroyed everything."

"I hate… I hate being so powerless."

Every word dripped with deep hatred. Even after so many years, merely thinking about his master's death was enough to bring tears mixed with blood to his eyes. Then, he made the decision to sacrifice his own life—just to drag all of his enemies down with him.

"What… what is he doing!?""He… he's really going to blow himself up? How naive!""It doesn't matter. We'll find his soul and kill everyone connected to him. Heh…"

They did not realize that the young man had gathered every ounce of his life force. Some began to sense something was wrong and immediately shouted orders:

"Stop him!"

Hands reached out, yet they couldn't even touch his shadow. They could only watch as his body plunged into free fall.

There is nothing left to bind me to this world. Unfortunately… none of this went as I imagined.

As he fell, he clutched tightly at the silver pendant on his chest—the only keepsake left to him from the day he met his master. The wind roared in his ears, heavy rain poured do

Far from that cliff, a woman stood gazing at the sky. Her eyes were empty, yet filled with an indescribable calm. She slowly raised her hand, then released everything—her power, emotions, life, even her causality. In an instant, her body vanished, as if she had never existed at all.
