Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The Treatment

Liam's face flushed instantly, while Frank looked at him in confusion. He was also trained in Sports Medicine but hadn't noticed anything wrong.

George Hall, however, was stunned. "Junior brother, you spotted Liam's condition immediately. Your diagnostic skill is at least on par with mine."

He sighed. "It's my fault. When Liam was training, he overexerted himself and damaged this… function. He was too young for corrective treatment then, and now the chance seemed gone."

Liam's eyes reddened. "Uncle Master, will you try? Even if there's only a small chance, I want to try."

Ethan nodded. "With acupuncture, I'm ninety percent sure I can help. But I'll need a quiet place to work. My dorm won't do."

Frank quickly offered. "Come to my house. I'm a professor at the City University School of Medicine. I have all the equipment."

The home was spacious, antique in style. Ethan didn't waste time. In one room, with both George and Frank watching, he began treatment.

George gasped quietly. Ethan's point selection was flawless. "His technique isn't drastically different from mine, but his accuracy is perfect."

Twenty minutes later, Ethan removed the final needle, wiped sweat from his brow, and said, "Liam, you should be cured now."

Liam felt warmth in his lower body but wasn't sure—until George barked, "Well? Thank him!" Liam knelt and bowed deeply. "Thank you, Uncle Master. You've given me back my life."

Ethan smiled modestly. "We take care of our own."

They chatted, and George reassured him. "Even if you weren't Robert Lane's student, your medical skills are authentic Medic Sage Association. Calling you junior brother is natural."

The rest of the morning passed with conversation and a game of chess. Both George and Frank were good, but Ethan's upgraded skill crushed them easily.

An hour later, Liam returned, grinning and almost floating. Ethan hid a smirk—he clearly hadn't wasted time confirming the treatment's success.

They invited Ethan to dinner with their families that night before George and Liam returned to the capital. Ethan agreed.

Back at the dorm, Gavin eyed him. "You look different today. Healthier. Brighter."

Before Ethan could respond, Lucas walked in, scowling. "Grace can't reach you. I came here."

Ethan's face darkened. He sat down silently, fighting the urge to lash out. His phone had been on silent; every message from "ElegantBaby" unread and ignored.
