David Banner stared in disbelief at the completely unscathed Saitama.
The entire area for hundreds of miles had been wrecked by him just moments ago… yet on Saitama… was it all just a dream?
Boom—
Normal Punch!
His answer came in the form of an infinitely magnified red fist.
Simple and direct, full of openings—yet when the power is overwhelming, any so-called technique or strategy becomes meaningless.
The violent wind from the punch roared like a giant dragon!
The ten-meter-tall rock-and-lightning giant that was David Banner was blown apart on the spot!
Countless fragments, droplets of water, and stray arcs of electricity scattered in every direction.
Only two legs, each nearly five meters tall, remained standing in place.
In the desert beyond, along the path of the punch, a massive trench nearly a hundred meters long, ten meters wide, and three meters deep appeared.
"…"
Saitama, still holding his fist up, felt extremely annoyed. He'd let the guy absorb so much power, and yet he was still this fragile?
Was there really no one in this world who could take a hit?
"No—Impossible! I clearly absorbed your power, so why can't I withstand your attacks?!"
From the remaining half of his massive body came David Banner's voice.
The lightning-covered stone body slowly condensed into a slightly smaller form, about seven meters tall.
Bang—
Normal Punch!
The freshly reformed David Banner was shattered again, his upper body completely pulverized into dust.
"Why? Why~~"
He roared in fury, his broken form slowly pulling back together.
Five meters!
Four meters!
…
Under Saitama's relentless barrage, David Banner—who had once possessed the combined powers of electricity, water, earth, and more—was beaten back into his original form!
A normal human-sized body.
"Run!"
From rage to shock to terror…
David Banner was now utterly terrified of Saitama. That former arrogance and confidence were completely gone.
In its place was a bottomless fear.
Only one thought filled his mind now—get away from this terrifying bald man, hide somewhere, and grind levels in peace!
Then, once he was fully "six-slotted" with ultimate gear, he'd come back to trouble Saitama!
Too strong!
His attacks couldn't even break Saitama's defense, while the other's punches could instantly annihilate him!
David Banner transformed into lightning, his speed incredible—
No trace, far beyond the speed of sound, approaching pseudo-light speed!
"Saitama! I swear… one day—"
In the midst of flashing light and shadow, David Banner gritted his teeth in a curse—
"Normal Punch!"
Suddenly—
That bone-chilling voice sounded right beside him.
He turned his head—and saw Saitama keeping perfect pace with him!
In his vision loomed that infinitely magnified red fist.
Boom—
One punch.
Silence.
Bloodied chunks of flesh, broken limbs, and bits of rock fell from the sky.
Saitama landed, looking down at his fist in frustration.
"Again… solved in one hit… ahhhhh—"
"Ding! Congratulations, esteemed Saitama-sama, for defeating the Absorbing Man, David Banner, upholding heroic justice. You have received a Special Reward *1."
"Reward will be issued after leaving this world."
The system prompt sounded suddenly.
"There's a reward too?"
Saitama scratched his head, feeling a little better. It was a special reward—hopefully something good.
"Oh, right, I wonder how that Bruce Banner guy is doing."
He suddenly remembered there was still a Hulk left.
In theory, if Hulk's rage level reached a certain point, he'd be far stronger than the Absorbing Man—after all, that guy was a walking bug in the system.
Thinking of this, Saitama's eyes lit up. He rubbed his fists together and headed toward the base.
—Research Base—
The place was a mess. The entire roof of the base had been ripped off, and the green giant Hulk had been released by General Ross.
Betty was unharmed, already taken to safety by soldiers.
However…
Ross looked at the raging Hulk, tearing through everything without restraint, and felt his scalp go numb.
Air Force reinforcements had arrived—seven fighter jets and three attack helicopters.
Now…
Only three helicopters remained, and they had to leave because they were out of fuel.
Tank and mechanized units had also arrived.
But ordinary armored vehicles were as soft as bread rolls, easily crushed under Hulk's feet.
The heavy tanks had managed to hit Hulk a few times early on… but now… it was a one-sided slaughter.
Crack crack crack—Snap!
A heavy tank's turret was ripped clean off by the furious Hulk, who then swung it like a tennis racket, smashing other tanks.
Still not satisfied, he leapt onto another tank, bending its barrel until it pointed directly at the driver's seat.
Tank crew: "…"
Damn it!
Never in their lives had they seen such a monster.
Warm, foul-smelling liquid began to seep from the tank driver's pants.
On this vast battlefield—
Whether planes, tanks, or soldiers—everyone had gone silent in the face of Hulk's rampage.
"Oh… Bruce Banner, you'd better stop now, or I'm really going to hit you."
Just as Hulk was about to mess with another retreating tank—
Saitama's voice sounded from behind him.
Hulk turned—
And saw Saitama squatting casually on the bent tank barrel, staring at him with those dead-fish eyes, full of curiosity.
