Chapter 71 - Chapter 71: Hulk vs. Deep Sea King

"That guy… what's he doing? Is he crazy?"

"No wonder he's friends with the so-called strongest S-Class… his brain must be broken too!"

"Run! Don't bother with those idiots!"

"Stop that guy in the white coat!"

"What a pity~~~"

As Bruce charged forward, the crowd groaned in disbelief. Their words made the heroes standing guard look uncomfortable—especially the loudmouthed ones leading the mockery.

"Leave this to me, Bruce!"

Bruce Banner laughed wildly as he closed the distance with the Deep Sea King. His blood boiled with excitement.

"You?!"

The Deep Sea King sneered, but his expression quickly changed.

Bruce's fist swung forward—

and in an instant, his body began to change.

The incredible healing factor of Hulk's super cells surged. His white lab coat tore apart at the seams, fabric shredding as his body swelled.

By the time he reached the monster, Bruce had transformed into a massive green-skinned giant over three meters tall—

The Hulk!

Yet compared to the towering Deep Sea King, he still looked like a mere insect.

Boom!

Their fists collided.

The force shattered the ground beneath them, stone and soil erupting like a wave. Even the air seemed to quake.

"This power…?!"

The Deep Sea King's face twisted, his arm going numb from the recoil.

"RRAAAGHH!!"

The Hulk roared, ecstatic. He stomped hard, the ground exploding beneath his feet, then hammered a colossal punch down from midair.

BOOM—!

The Deep Sea King raised his arms to block—

and instantly regretted it.

The impact felt like being struck by a raging dinosaur. The floor beneath him collapsed in a crater more than twenty meters wide.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Like a jackhammer, the Hulk's fists rained down mercilessly, pounding the Deep Sea King into the ground.

"Impossible! My strength… weaker than his?!"

Coughing blood, bones snapping, the Deep Sea King howled desperately, trying to fight back.

But against the beastly Hulk, his resistance was useless.

The longer the fight went, the more savage Hulk became.

Within a single minute, the thunderous impacts echoed nonstop. The stadium floor was unrecognizable—every inch of it broken and ruined.

The mighty Deep Sea King, nearly three stories tall, was smashed into nothing but a bloody pulp beneath the Hulk's fists.

Genos: "..."

Snake, the A-Class hero, went pale, shivering from head to toe.

The other pro heroes and civilians: "..."

"W-what is he? He has to be a pro hero, right?!"

"But he's not even registered… how can he just steal the fight like this?"

"Still… if he hadn't beaten the Deep Sea King, we'd all be dead right now!"

Of course, among the grateful voices were the ever-present hecklers. The loudest, a fat slob with a sausage-stuffed mouth, continued stirring up complaints. Even Genos, usually calm, found his brow twitching.

"RRAAAHHHH!!"

The Hulk's thunderous roar shook the earth.

He charged straight into the line of A and B-Class heroes—sending them, Snake included, flying like rag dolls. Then he grabbed the keyboard warriors who'd been mouthing off, dangling them in his enormous fingers.

The men went pale as corpses, trembling.

"I-I'm just a civilian! Y-you can't—!"

"Bruce?"

Saitama stepped forward. If Hulk lost control completely, he'd have to put him down.

But Hulk only bellowed in their faces, his roar so deafening it knocked them unconscious on the spot. With a grunt, he tossed them aside like trash.

"Ha! That… actually feels pretty good."

The Hulk's massive frame shrank, muscles deflating as Bruce Banner returned. His face was glowing with exhilaration.

Saitama exhaled in relief. Controlling the Hulk form seemed easier than expected.

But before he could relax, Saitama stopped in his tracks.

A chill like a blade of ice crept up his spine.

Killer intent was closing in.
