Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Invincible King! Saitama!

The sky began to drizzle at some point.

Raindrops fell on the battered body of the Deep Sea King. The twisted, broken frame that Hulk had smashed was slowly repairing itself. His glowing eyes opened again, filled with a beast-like cruelty.

He was royalty of the Deep Sea Clan!

Rainwater nourished his body, raising his power to a higher level. After this baptism, the Deep Sea King's strength had already surpassed its limits—reaching a terrifying barrier!

If he returned to the ocean now, he could unleash power comparable to a dragon-class threat!

"Die, damn humans!"

With a guttural roar, the Deep Sea King vanished from sight.

The next instant—

Behind Bruce Banner, a massive fist swung down with crushing force!

Saitama smiled faintly. Even an iron giant would be flattened into a pancake by that strike.

Boom!

The dull impact did not produce the expected scene of Bruce being smashed into paste. Instead, the Deep Sea King froze mid-swing, eyes widening in disbelief.

His fist… was being held in Saitama's hand.

The two hands were completely disproportionate in size, yet Saitama's grasp stopped the attack as if it were nothing.

The shockwave from the halted punch shattered the ground around them, sending shards of rock flying into the watching heroes and drawing screams.

"You… bald guy? Why…?"

The Deep Sea King's mind went blank. His strength was far beyond what he had used against Hulk—he was sure he could crush him!

But now… this insignificant bald man had stopped him?

"Lose with dignity. Why not just go back to the sea instead of causing trouble?" Saitama sighed softly.

"I… I…"

An icy chill swept over the Deep Sea King's body, like the winds of hell tearing through him. His pores dilated, his hair stood on end, and for the first time he felt overwhelming terror.

"Ordinary Punch."

The crimson fist grew infinitely larger in his vision.

A deafening roar!

The punch's wind pressure blasted the skies clear, scattering the rain. Even distant buildings crumbled to rubble under its shockwave.

The Deep Sea King—who only moments ago was stronger than ever—froze like a statue, staring at the gaping hole that now stretched three meters wide through his torso.

Bruce Banner: "…"

Genos: "…"

Civilians: "…"

"Let's go, Genos. Leave the rest to you—file a report with the Association."

Yawning, Saitama waved lazily and walked away with Bruce. He had no interest in dealing with cleanup.

The crowd of civilians and heroes stood in stunned silence.

Then—cheers erupted like thunder!

"Saitama!"

"Saitama!"

"Saitama!"

"The true S-Class hero!"

"The Invincible King, Saitama!!"

The cries shook the entire arena. Even children screamed his name until their throats went raw.

Back home—

The moment Saitama stepped into the villa, a fragrant breeze rushed at him. A soft body threw itself into his arms.

With long waist-length blue hair, Hell's Blizzard clung to him like a wife waiting for her husband's return.

"You idiot! Why did you leave without saying anything!"

Her small fists pounded his chest playfully as she nestled against him, sultry and alluring.

"Uh… next time, I'll let you know in advance, Fubuki." Saitama scratched his head awkwardly.

The faint fragrance around her made his face heat slightly. Standing on tiptoe, Fubuki's cheeks flushed as her crystal-pink lips brushed against his. "You'd better! Hmph!"

Watching this, Bruce gave Saitama a knowing "man-to-man" look.

"And this is…?"

Blushing, Fubuki finally noticed the older man.

"Bruce Banner, my friend," Saitama introduced.

"Hello, sir. I'll go make dinner then! Hmph!"

Still acting tsundere, Fubuki puffed her cheeks but revealed a smile.

Saitama rubbed his nose awkwardly—compared to him and Fubuki, Bruce really did seem like an old man.

Dinner was prepared by Fubuki. Genos was too busy with Association missions to join lately, so it had been a while since they had all sat down together.

Throughout the meal, Fubuki stayed glued to Saitama's side, the picture of a devoted little wife.

When they finished, Saitama finally brought up Hulk.

"So, you're saying you want me to join the Hero Association too? I… I don't know about that…" Bruce muttered, uneasy. On Earth he had always been treated like a monster.

"Of course. Since you can control the Hulk form, getting a hero license would be great," Saitama nodded.

"I'll have to think about it…"

"Becoming a pro hero means a monthly stipend, plus research funding if you need it. But take your time."

"Hey, Saitama, the Association is asking for you this afternoon!"
