Chapter 268 - Chapter 268

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. You only need to stay quietly here for a while."

The Ancient One's voice was calm. She had changed her mind—until she could determine whether Saitama was harmful, she would keep the situation under control.

"But I don't have time. I need to go back for dinner."

Saitama replied seriously, stepping toward the mirrored wall.

"This is the Mirror Dimension, cut off from reality, a prison for enemies. Your power is great, but breaking it is impossible."

Crack—crack—crack—

Before her words even faded, fractures spread from where Saitama tapped the wall. Within seconds, the surface was covered in web-like cracks.

The Ancient One's eyes widened. The Mirror Dimension's defenses were formidable, yet this bald youth—!

She instinctively clutched the Eye of Agamotto, then slowly let go.

Boom!

The Mirror Dimension collapsed with a thunderous shatter. The Ancient One staggered, face pale.

Saitama stepped calmly through the fragments, holding one in his hand. His blank face showed no emotion.

"What strange glass. Looks pretty cool."

The shard reflected whole worlds within it, making Saitama murmur with curiosity.

The Ancient One hadn't unleashed the Eye of Agamotto. She sensed no hostility in him, no killing intent at all.

"Saitama, what is your purpose in this world?"

"Purpose? Hmm… I don't really have one. Just wandering, looking for hero work. But right now, I need to go home for dinner. Three meals a day are important for the body."

He scratched his bald head earnestly. His gaze lingered on hers.

"By the way, how did you get bald?"

The Ancient One: "…"

Never before had anyone dared ask her that—not even her disciples. Yet here stood another bald one, strong enough to shatter her dimension.

"…That's a rude question." She shook her head, then her eyes sharpened. "But before that, you need to see the universe more clearly."

Her hand struck Saitama's chest.

A strange force surged through him.

"Eh? Why am I still standing there?"

Saitama blinked at his own body, still upright below.

"That is your soul. Feel the world with it."

His spirit shot upward—past Earth, past the solar system, through light-years in instants. Colors blurred, the universe unfolding in psychedelic waves.

The Ancient One gazed upward, her brow furrowing. Even after such a long journey, Saitama's soul showed no weakness. Not even she could endure this without strain. Yet he seemed… entertained.

Then he stopped.

Ten terrifying auras surrounded him. Enormous eyes opened in the void, capable of swallowing universes.

The ruler of the Dark Dimension—Dormammu!

"No!" The Ancient One paled, trying to recall Saitama's soul. Dormammu was her greatest enemy, far beyond her strength. If Saitama fell to his darkness, Earth would face ruin.

"From Earth? A soul?" Dormammu's immense eyes gleamed. Flames of dark magic rose as he peered down.

"Monster?" Saitama tilted his head, curious.

They stared at one another in silence.

"You're strong. Stronger even than the Ancient One. For Earth to birth such a soul is surprising."

"You're not bad either. Probably the strongest monster I've seen so far."

Dormammu's flames surged. "Submit to me. Embrace darkness. I will grant you power beyond limits and eternal life!"

Black fire swept across the void, burning asteroids into dust.

On Earth, the Ancient One gasped, her spiritual tether severed by Dormammu's overwhelming presence.

"Dormammu…" she whispered, weaving spells desperately.

Meanwhile, Saitama listened with half-lidded eyes, stifling yawns.

"You done talking?"

"…What?" Dormammu froze.

"I should head back for dinner. But since you look like a monster, I guess I ought to get rid of you first. Are you a good guy or a bad guy?"

Saitama scratched his head, studying him.

Dormammu laughed madly. "Amusing! No one has ever dared speak to me so! I will shackle your soul, pour darkness into it, and make you my greatest puppet!"

Dark flames roared forth, a tidal wave of blackness.

Saitama sighed.

"Figures. You're a bad guy. Guess I'll take care of you."
