The shadows on the ground abruptly came alive, forming several thick black tentacles—each as massive as a giant python and covered in suckers and barbs—snapping toward Captain America at terrifying speed!
"Cap, watch out!" Spider-Man shouted. He fired webbing to try to yank the tentacles away, but the slick dark energy coating their surface knocked the webs aside.
Captain America reacted instantly. His vibranium shield spun in a cutting arc, severing two tentacles—but more surged in from every direction, wrapping around his arms, legs, and waist in a blink. The crushing restraint made his suit creak loudly, and a horrifying suction pulsed from the tentacles, as if it were draining his strength and even his will. Captain America grunted and struggled with all his might, but for the moment, he couldn't break free.
"Tch. Annoying." Saitama's voice sounded calm.
He had just casually blown apart an armored monster over three meters tall. Noticing the crisis, he flickered—appearing beside Captain America in an instant. He didn't even look at the writhing black tentacles. He simply raised his hand and swung a plain, uncomplicated knife-hand strike.
Rip!
Like a blade cutting through rotten leather, those tentacles—so tough that even a vibranium shield couldn't instantly sever them—were sliced apart like paper under Saitama's hand. The severed ends quickly dissolved into black smoke. Captain America felt the pressure vanish at once, breaking free as he stepped back.
"Thanks, Saitama!"
"No problem," Saitama replied, his gaze already shifting toward the black-robed mage who had cast the tentacle spell.
On the other side, Doctor Strange had already engaged two other black-robed mages. This was a true magical duel now—not simple energy blasts or summoned monsters, but a clash of rules and concepts.
One of the black-robed mages waved a hand, calling down a sky-full of black energy arrows that rained toward the team like a storm.
Doctor Strange swept both hands and formed the Shapes of Ikonn. In an instant, several magical duplicates split off from him. Each duplicate raised a massive Seraphim Shield, blocking the arrow rain completely as the impacts erupted into showers of flickering energy sparks.
