Chapter 693 - Chapter 693

Another mage tried to twist the space around everyone, creating illusions and traps. The Eye Of Agamotto on Strange's chest opened, and the emerald glow of the Time Stone flowed. In an instant, it stabilized the surrounding spatial structure—and then countered with an even stronger Mirror Dimension technique, forcing the black-robed mage to fall into the very illusion he created. His body staggered unsteadily.

Brilliant magic and dark energy collided wildly throughout the cavern—exploding, annihilating, and tearing at each other. The shockwaves from the overflowing power made the entire cave tremble, while rubble kept raining down from the ceiling. The scene was dazzling—and lethally dangerous.

Spider-Man and Hawkeye found themselves in an even worse situation. They had to dodge the endless monster attacks while moving along the edge of the battlefield, searching for openings whenever the black-robed mages cast their spells.

"Clint! Three o'clock—looks like that guy's charging up something big!" Peter shouted as he used webbing to swing over the monsters' heads.

"I see it!" Hawkeye narrowed his eyes. A pulse arrow he'd been charging for a while snapped off the bowstring, flying straight toward the black-robed mage who was gathering a massive dark energy sphere.

The arrow hit at the exact moment the sphere was about to form, triggering a small energy destabilization explosion. It not only interrupted the spell, but also blasted the mage backward, leaving part of his robe scorched black.

"Nice shot, Hawkeye!" Spider-Man cheered—at the same time, twisting his body into an impossible angle to avoid a diving flying monster, then slapping a wad of webbing right onto its face.

In the middle of the battle, Saitama kept clearing the monsters that rushed him while also watching the altar. He realized that even though they'd caused major chaos, most of the black-robed figures still held their positions around the altar. Especially those strongest mages—their main purpose didn't seem to be killing the intruders, but protecting the mysterious item at the center of the stone platform, wrapped in dark energy, no matter the cost.

Any attempt to get close to the altar would draw their fiercest, most reckless counterattack—even at the expense of their own lives.

"That thing…" Saitama's gaze cut through the chaos and landed on the constantly leaping core of darkness. "That's the key."

He'd reached the same conclusion as the chapter outline.

"Their goal is to protect whatever's on that altar!" After a single punch cleared the fan-shaped area in front of him, Saitama pointed toward the altar and shouted, "We have to get it!"

"Agreed!" Captain America blocked a dark energy blast. "Strange—can you interfere with their ritual somehow?"

"I'll try!" Doctor Strange brought his hands together. A surge of magic gathered—then a golden Sacred Sword of Vishanti formed in a flash and slashed toward the altar's foundational runes.

But the dark energy around the altar automatically formed a barrier, colliding violently with the sacred blade. Power roared outward in a chaotic surge. The defense wasn't completely broken—but the strike clearly made the black-robed mages far more tense.

"Break through! Get to the altar!" Captain America ordered.

The team immediately shifted strategy—from clearing everything to a focused breakthrough.

And without question, Saitama became the spearhead.

He stopped worrying about wiping out every monster and charged in a straight line toward the altar. Anything that blocked his path—whether an armored beast or an energy-form ghost—shattered and collapsed the instant it touched his fist or body.

He forced open a perfectly straight corridor through the monster tide.
