Chapter 695 - Chapter 695

After taking down the strongest opponent, Saitama stepped onto the altar.

The remaining black-robed mages shrieked as they lunged at him, trying to block him with their bodies. Saitama didn't even look at them. With a few casual swings, those mages were sent flying in every direction.

He reached out and plunged his hand straight into that violently burning mass of darkness—dark energy so intense it could instantly melt steel and corrode magic itself!

A teeth-grinding sizzle rang out.

But that annihilating dark energy couldn't harm Saitama's hand in the slightest. It didn't even scorch the fabric of his glove.

His hand closed firmly around the core of the mysterious object. He squeezed—and yanked!

Humm—!

As if some kind of balance had been shattered, the dark energy around it flickered violently for an instant, then abruptly contracted, all of it sinking into the object itself—revealing its true form.

It was a palm-sized, dark-colored cube. Its material was unknown—neither metal nor stone, yet somehow both. Its surface was covered in complex, incomprehensible etchings, and those markings now gave off a faint, ominous black glow. It felt icy and heavy in the hand, emanating an ancient, deathly stillness—yet also a sense of extreme danger, as if terrifying power was sealed within.

Saitama had successfully obtained the mysterious item!

But the instant he lifted that dark cube off the altar—

Everything changed.

The cube seemed to be fully activated. The previously restrained black glow suddenly blazed with blinding intensity, and an indescribable dark power—far beyond anything from before—erupted from within like a supernova!

This wasn't an attack.

It was pure release.

A fundamental, root-level tide of darkness.

"Not good!" Doctor Strange's face twisted in shock. He could feel the laws of space around them being brutally rewritten and warped by that force!

The humming instantly sharpened into a piercing scream, like billions of wronged souls wailing at once. The entire cavern began to shake violently. The ceiling collapsed on a massive scale, boulders falling like rain. The black runes on the ground flashed madly—then burst one after another! Even the altar itself let out a cracking groan, as if it couldn't bear the strain.

But the most terrifying change was the space itself.

Centered on the cube in Saitama's hand, the surrounding space rippled like water struck by a stone—then twisted and folded violently! Irregular spatial rifts were forcibly torn open one after another, and behind them wasn't cold outer space…

It was something deeper.

More hopeless.

A dark void surging with endless malice and a thirst for destruction.

Roar—!!!

Awoooo—!!!

Skreee—!!!

Soul-rending howls exploded out of those rifts! And then—

Countless dark monsters, more horrifying and far larger than anything before, poured out like a dam breaking.

These were nothing like the creatures the black-robed mages had summoned earlier.

Some were mountain-sized crawlers with countless eyes and legs.

Some were floating energy conglomerations that spread mental corruption just by existing.

Some were slaughter-machines covered in black crystal-like armor—blade-proof, bullet-proof, seemingly unstoppable…

Their one shared trait was overwhelming power, savage madness, and absolute hatred for the living.

"My… god…" Spider-Man stared at the nightmare army that nearly filled the entire cavern, his voice trembling.

"We have to leave—now!" Captain America raised his shield to block a falling boulder and shouted. Against an enemy force of this scale, a head-on fight was hopeless.
