Chapter 710 - Chapter 710

"Koraka Ruins… the Scandinavian icefields in Northern Europe… deep within Africa's Sahara Desert… and a few locations I can't identify…" Strange decoded the information on the map, his voice growing heavier. "These places… all seem connected to extremely dense primordial magic energy, or ancient sacrificial grounds. What this map marks is most likely the energy nodes or key bases the dark forces chose for their Dark Demon God revival plan!"

His finger tapped the mark on the Nordic icefield. "Here—the energy signature is especially strong. According to the notes, they've likely already established an important base there, and they're actively preparing something."

Everyone's eyes turned to Saitama.

Saitama cracked his knuckles and looked at the map. "Then what are we waiting for? Next stop is here. We just go and punch them flying."

No hesitation. The new target was set. Their campaign to stop the dark forces was far from over.

The Quinjet broke through the clouds. Below, the endless green of the Amazon basin was gone—replaced by a world of eternal ice. The far northern icefields of the Scandinavian Peninsula stretched out in every direction, a blinding white expanse. Gale-force winds whipped snow into the air, crushing visibility, and the cold was so brutal it could freeze any exposed moisture in an instant.

"Based on the map marker and energy scans, the target is beneath the largest iceberg ahead," the pilot's voice came through the comms. "But scans show extremely strong energy activity on the iceberg's surface—likely a large-scale defensive barrier."

The jet hovered over a relatively flat patch of icefield. The team swapped into gear suited for extreme cold—Saitama still wearing that thin hero suit, seemingly unaffected by the temperature—and stepped onto the barren, silent land.

The wind cut like knives.

In the distance, a colossal iceberg towered like it connected earth and sky. That was the objective.

"Can you feel it?" Strange floated slightly above the ground, eyes closed as he sensed. "A very dense dark magic presence—almost fused with the iceberg's cold itself. Icy. Deathly silent. But deep down… it's hiding something violent."

Wanda nodded. "The barrier is strong. Like an upside-down bowl, completely covering the underground portion of the iceberg."

They approached the iceberg's base. Sure enough, when they were still nearly a hundred meters from the ice wall, a nearly transparent energy dome appeared out of nowhere—slightly distorting the light—and blocked their path.

Hawkeye tested it with a standard explosive arrow.

The arrow hit the barrier and detonated with a thunderous blast. But after the flames and shockwave dissipated, the shield remained utterly unmoved—not even a ripple.

"Physical attacks and ordinary energy attacks are basically useless," Hawkeye judged.

Peter tried touching it with webbing. The web instantly froze and shattered. "It's got insanely strong freezing and corrosive energy properties."

Strange stepped forward, raising both hands. Golden magic touched the barrier like a probe as he analyzed its structure and energy flow. "A composite barrier—ancient protection magic fused with modern energy tech. Extremely stable. The core power source is inside the iceberg. With normal methods, forcing it open from the outside will be very difficult."

He flew along the barrier, carefully sensing.

"But… no barrier is perfect. To maintain this size and strength, its energy distribution can't be completely uniform. At the three o'clock direction—near the boundary where the surface ice meets the rock layer—there's an extremely subtle, periodic gap in the energy flow. That's the weak point."
