"So it's that black thing causing trouble again, right?" Saitama found a seat and buckled his seat belt.
"Based on the description, it sounds very similar." Namor spoke, his voice low and magnetic. "But this happened in the deep sea—so it falls under the jurisdiction of my Atlantis kingdom. Director Fury said your strength is enough to handle anything. Let's hope that's true. We're about to reach the target waters. Be ready." "933"
The Quinjet's engines roared as it pierced through the clouds, racing toward the vast Pacific.
Through the window, the blue ocean below stretched endlessly. It looked calm—but it hid unknown terror. Soon, the aircraft reached the airspace above the incident zone. From high altitude, they could clearly see countless fragments of shattered drilling platforms and spreading oil slicks. The surface was a complete mess.
Suddenly, the alarm inside the aircraft shrieked!
"Detecting a gigantic biological signal rapidly surfacing! Directly beneath us!"
Almost the instant the pilot finished speaking, the once-calm sea below bulged upward, forming a massive mound of water—then exploded!
A colossal beast that defied description tore through the waves, raising its incomparably ferocious head! It resembled some mutated multi-headed sea serpent, covered in thick blue-gray scales as hard as rock. Multiple long necks held up heads that opened blood-filled maws, releasing an ear-splitting hiss. Its exposed fangs were like enormous pale scimitars.
However, the most eye-catching part wasn't its horrifying size.
It was the countless pitch-black vines writhing and coiling like living things between the cracks of its rough hide and scales! The vines' surfaces glimmered with an ominous dark sheen, radiating a chilling, deathly aura that made hearts tremble.
Saitama's gaze locked onto those black vines at once.
"Yep. That's the one," he said with certainty. "Same as last time."
The giant sea monster's roar swept the ocean like a storm, shaking the Quinjet's windows until they buzzed. The eyes on its many heads flashed with berserk crimson light as they fixed on this "buzzing" metal box in the sky.
"Open fire!" the pilot shouted, slamming the button.
The cannons on both sides of the aircraft spewed flames. Dense streams of special armor-piercing rounds screamed toward the sea monster…
But when the bullets struck its thick scales, most only sparked and ricocheted off. A few that pierced into flesh were like being pricked by tiny needles to a monster this size—completely incapable of causing real damage.
"Damn it, conventional weapons are ineffective!" the pilot reported anxiously.
King Namor snorted coldly. "In the ocean, you fight the ocean's way!" He turned to Aqualad. "Kaldur, control the water currents and cover me!"
"Damn it, conventional weapons are ineffective!" the pilot reported anxiously.
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Aqualad thrust both hands forward and focused. The seawater below immediately answered his call. Two thick water tornadoes roared upward like giant serpents, wrapping around two of the monster's heads, trying to restrain its movements.
Namor then leapt forward, jumping straight out of the cabin. He traced a graceful arc through the air and landed precisely into the sea. The instant he entered the water, the golden bracelet on his wrist flashed faintly—
His deep connection to the ocean was fully activated. With a sweep of both arms, the surrounding seawater seemed to come alive, boiling violently!
