"In the name of Atlantis—submit!" Namor roared, throwing both hands upward.
Rumble—!
The sea around the monster surged as several gigantic walls of water—each as tall as a skyscraper—rose from the surface. With crushing force, they slammed in from all directions, squeezing and battering the sea monster! It was power strong enough to tear apart steel warships.
The deafening boom and the ocean's roar swallowed everything. The water walls hit, and the monster's massive body lurched, releasing a pained bellow.
But the next moment, something shocking happened.
The black vines parasitizing the monster's body seemed to come alive. Ominous light raced across their surfaces, like countless greedy little mouths, as they began to frantically absorb the immense energy produced by Namor's water control
The water walls rapidly weakened, collapsed, and fell back into the sea as ordinary water. The vines—after absorbing that power—looked even darker and shinier, even swelling slightly.
It was like the monster had been injected with a stimulant. It grew even more frenzied. One of its heads snapped its jaws wide—and a highly condensed, lightning-fast jet of high-pressure water blasted out like a cannon shell, shooting straight toward the Quinjet in midair!
"Evade! Evade!" the pilot screamed, yanking the controls.
But the water cannon was too fast! Even though the aircraft tried to dodge, the edge of the torrent still swept into it hard. The fuselage instantly lost balance, spiraling down toward the ocean trailing black smoke.
"Bail out!" the pilot shouted at the last second.
Namor sprang up from the sea, trying to catch them. Aqualad also strained to control the water and support the aircraft, but his power was limited. The Quinjet was about to smash into the sea and explode—
Then a yellow figure moved faster than anyone could react.
The instant the Quinjet was hit, Saitama had already ripped off his seat belt. Somehow, the cabin door was already open.
He didn't jump with a parachute.
Under Namor and Aqualad's stunned gazes, he leapt straight out of the out-of-control, tumbling aircraft—
Not toward the ocean.
But directly toward the ferocious beast.
"He's insane?!" The thought had barely flashed through Namor's mind.
In midair, Saitama adjusted his posture, ignoring the violent wind pressure and the oppressive terror radiating from the monster below. He simply clenched his right fist.
Then, aiming at the biggest head—the one throwing back its neck as it roared—he swung.
No flashy light effects.
No earthshaking aura.
Just a plain, ordinary punch.
Bang!!!
A dull impact—so small it wasn't even louder than the monster's howl or the crashing waves.
But time itself seemed to freeze.
The monster's head—still spewing water, still thrashing wildly—jerked… and locked in place.
Those crimson, brutal eyes instantly lost all light, turning hollow and dead.
Centered on where the fist landed, the black vines that had been writhing and absorbing energy with manic hunger seemed to have their life ripped away. They withered at a visible speed, carbonized, then shattered into countless specks of ash that scattered into the sea.
Then that "stillness" spread through the monster's entire body.
Its mountain-sized form stopped moving entirely. The violent aura vanished in an instant.
Even the hard scales covering it seemed to lose their sheen, turning dull and lifeless.
