My heart began to race at those words I did not expect to hear from him. But then, as I looked at his face, those golden eyes, and then that little tug at the corner of his lips, I forced my hand away from his grip and threw my gaze away.

He laughed and then leaned closer his head almost pressed against mine.
"Gosh, I'm doing everything to try and get your interest but even heartfelt words don't reach you." I bit my lip, holding my hand he had held.
He doesn't know how much I was starting to hate him because he was making me fall for him. Fall for his act, his pathetic lies.
