"I just—uh—bumped into him by accident. He was helping me and I bumped into him."
I made such a flimsy excuse but I had no choice. There was nothing else I could say in that instant to seem less suspicious.
"Bumped into me?" Tae-Hyun repeated, with a low voice filled with amusement.
He straightened his back, his shoulder spread wide like the hit hadn't fazed him at all, and his eyes glittered dangerously along with the smirk that spread on his lips.
"That's one way to put it."
I shot him a glare, but it only seemed to fuel the smug curve of his lips.
The attendant tilted her head, clearly unconvinced, but she didn't press further.
It's not like she had the right to know more anyway.
Instead, she clasped her hands together politely and carried on.
"Very well. If the suit fits, shall we bring in the next one for you to try, sir?"
Hearing this, the realization that I was going to be stuck in the same room with Tae-Hyun once again made chills flush down my spine.
