Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Give Me Ten Seconds

Hsss

"What terrifying Conqueror's Haki!"

"And perfectly controlled too! That blast was aimed solely at Catarina Devon!"

"She passed out instantly… that means his Haki has already reached…"

"Yonko level!"

The brutal pirates of Level 6 stared at the fading back of the young man, eyes wide with shock, and all spoke in unison.

As for the one responsible, Shiranami Hakusei, he had no idea that he'd just shaken the very foundations of these once-dominant monsters of the sea, plunging them into an existential crisis.

Right now, his priority was simple: get the hell out of this place before something went wrong.

Using the same tactic, he freed all prisoners from Levels 4 and 5. With the chaos already unleashed from Levels 2 and 3, this disturbance had grown massive enough to ensure a clean escape. Breaking out should now be easy.

He didn't release the Level 6 prisoners for a reason.

He wasn't here to cause trouble for himself. He was here to create a diversion and escape. And the monsters of Level 6 were far from cooperative, none of them were easy to handle.

The prisoners above Level 5, on the other hand, were manageable. The Marines could suppress them once this was over. Right now, they were the perfect meat shields.

With everything in motion, Shiranami melted into the crowd with his crew. Letting the waves carry them forward, they surged toward the prison's main gate with the rest of the escapees.

Back on Level 4, Magellan, the one who had been humbled and taught a painful lesson by Shiranami, finally managed to get his body back together, dispelling the rampaging lightning still wreaking havoc inside him.

This incident would go down as one of the darkest moments of his life.

To be beaten in his own prison? If word got out, he'd be utterly humiliated.

But as the Chief Warden, he couldn't act out of pride. The greater mission came first.

At once, he ordered all guards to abandon their assigned floors and regroup at the main gate. Simultaneously, he contacted Marine Headquarters for emergency backup.

"Hello? This is Sengoku. What is it, Magellan?"

"Fleet Admiral! Emergency at Impel Down! A top-level intruder has broken out and released the prisoners from Levels 2 through 5! Redfield, Wald, and Crocodile are all free! I'm holding the main gate, but I'm seriously injured, I may not last long. I… I'm deeply ashamed!"

Sengoku nearly choked on his tea and bit his tongue clean off.

"WHAT?! Crocodile?! Wald?! REDFIELD?! Magellan, injured?!"

His face turned pitch-black. He almost fainted on the spot.

Forget the rest. If Redfield got out, he could become the Fifth Emperor by tomorrow!

"Support's coming now! Hang in there! No matter what, HOLD THAT DOOR!"

"Yes, sir!"

Click.

Magellan hung up.

Back at Marine Headquarters, Sengoku was losing his mind. He bellowed across the room:

"Get Kizaru to Impel Down, NOW! Don't ask questions! Just GO! And MOVE!"

A Marine captain napping at the door jolted awake, fell out of his chair, and scrambled to his feet.

"Yes, sir!"

He sprinted off at full speed.

"Who else is still here?!"

A nearby sentry straightened up, voice trembling.

"R-reporting, sir! Aside from Admiral Kizaru, we currently have five Vice Admirals at Headquarters, including Vice Admiral Garp!"

"Tell Garp to come see me! The other four, send them to Impel Down with full speed!"

"Yes, sir!"

The sentry vanished.

Sengoku was fuming. His mustache curled in fury.

Who the hell is behind this?!

The way Magellan described it… this person wasn't just strong, he was terrifying.

Sengoku took a deep breath.

Then his eyes narrowed.

Not good.

"Someone! Get Garp to Impel Down too, NOW!"

A wave of dread washed over him. It felt like something monstrous was about to be born.

Magellan… Magellan, that man could go toe-to-toe with Admirals when pushed.

Yet now he was begging for help, seriously wounded?

That said everything about this intruder's power.

Whoever it was, they weren't normal.

Sengoku's brow furrowed into a deep crease. His face was grim.

Meanwhile, back at Impel Down, Shiranami and his group had already advanced to Level 3, blending in with the flood of escaping prisoners.

But something felt off.

There were no guards. No resistance.

It was… too quiet.

Then, just ahead, the prisoners at the front of the group suddenly slowed down. Confused murmurs began to spread.

A chilling wail echoed from further in the level.

"Shiryu! I order you to return to the main gate and defend it!"

"Hmph. Magellan, this chaos is your fault. If you want it defended, defend it yourself. I'm going to slaughter these rats. I'll make sure the whole world knows, no one escapes from Impel Down."

"Shiryu! Our mission is to suppress and reform the prisoners, not murder them! If you do this, you're no different from the pirates we fight!"

"Reform? Redemption? Don't make me laugh."

Shiryu of the Rain took a long drag from his cigar, then pulled out his blade.

He ripped the communication earpiece from his ear, slammed it to the ground, and crushed it underfoot.

"To defy authority is death."

A blood-red glint flashed in his eyes. Killing intent surged across the entirety of Level 3.

Every prisoner facing him felt a chill run through their soul.

He didn't feel human, he felt like a ravenous beast thirsting for blood.

Their legs trembled. Some even stumbled backward instinctively.

Shiryu stepped forward, raising his blade, Raigeki.

"Prisoners of the Era of Evil, death is your only redemption. Prepare to die."

With a roar, he vanished.

When he reappeared, he was inside the crowd.

A wolf among sheep.

Every swing of his blade brought blood.

Every step took a life.

Level 3 had become a slaughterhouse.

Screams and blood echoed in every direction.

"Ahhh! No, please, I surrender!"

"MY HAND! OH GOD MY HAND!"

"I don't want to die, stop, stop!"

…What the hell?

Shiranami frowned.

He saw prisoners retreating in terror.

Without hesitation, he released his Observation Haki to scout ahead.

And saw it all.

The carnage.

The massacre.

He locked eyes with Redfield.

Together, they said:

"Shiryu of the Rain."

"I'll handle him!" Wald volunteered immediately, puffing out his chest.

He took one bold step forward, only to be stopped by Shiranami's hand.

"We're here to escape. We can't waste time on someone irrelevant. I'll take care of it."

Redfield gave a slight nod in agreement.

Wald, however, was stunned.

"Irrelevant?! You're calling Shiryu of the Rain irrelevant?! Are you serious?!"

He looked to Shiranami, calm as a mountain.

Then to Redfield, nodding with silent agreement.

Then to Crocodile, expressionless, clearly not getting involved.

Wald suddenly had a bad feeling.

What kind of terrifying ship have I boarded?

Shiranami turned toward him, grinning.

"Give me ten seconds."
