Chapter 90 - Chapter 90 – Hello, Sister Kusu

"At last we're done here. So, where to next?" Ken asked Merus.

"Without realizing it, we've been out for quite a while. Let's head back to Galactic Patrol Headquarters first," Merus suggested.

"You're not taking me to see Whis?" Ken pressed.

"Whis already said there's nothing he can do about the purity of your angel power," Merus shook his head. "I told you this before."

"Forget it then, I'll research it myself," Ken sighed helplessly, spreading his hands.

"I think your own method of purifying angel power has been quite effective," Merus said with a reassuring smile.

"Fine, if you say so," Ken nodded.

"Let's go," Merus said, turning away.

As they boarded the ship, a plan formed in his mind. Once we're underway, I'll quietly create a wormhole… The ship will drift into it, carrying us to the edge of the universe. Then I'll deliver him to Universe 10's God of Destruction Realm. Sister Kusu can guide him. My mission will be complete.

Ken and Broly followed him.

The three left the Otherworld, retraced their path back through the divine realm, and boarded the spaceship.

"Clack."

Merus pressed the launch button.

The ship soared, cutting swiftly across the divine realm.

As it traveled, Merus lifted his staff. The crystal atop it flickered.

"Whoosh!"

The ship slipped from the divine realm into open space.

The vast starfield unfurled before Ken's eyes.

After several hours of travel, Merus excused himself and slipped into his quarters.

"Clack."

His staff appeared in his hand with a gesture.

He swung it lightly.

"Whoosh!"

A massive wormhole tore open in the void—a cosmic whirlpool devouring everything around it, twisting space and time until the surrounding view blurred. Stellar dust and photons were dragged into its maw, spewing from the far side of the universe.

Inside, Ken sensed the shift, snapping his eyes open. He peered toward the anomaly.

What's this? Where did we end up?

"Uh…" Broly gawked, stunned.

"Vwoom!"

The ship rocked like a tiny boat tossed into the sea, drifting helplessly toward the wormhole.

"Whoosh!"

In an instant, it was swallowed whole, vanishing.

In his cabin, Merus raised the staff again, opening communication.

"Well, well, isn't this my little brother Merus?" A gentle female voice echoed from the crystal.

"Hello, Sister Kusu," Merus greeted quickly.

"I heard you've been training with the Galactic Patrol in Universe 7. What made you reach out to me?" Kusu asked with a smile.

"Well… Sister Kusu," Merus began, "there's a human in Universe 7 who trained in a simplified version of Ultra Instinct and somehow awakened angel power."

"My, my… that's truly remarkable." Kusu sounded startled. "I've never heard of a human manifesting angel power. Even mastering Ultra Instinct should only grant peak strength. Wait—you said simplified Ultra Instinct?"

"Y-Yes," Merus admitted, wiping his brow. "He bartered a sausage with Brother Whis and got a book."

"And from that book, he awakened angel power?" Kusu pressed, astonished.

"Yes, Sister Kusu." Merus nodded again.

Kusu fell silent.

In all her eons, she had never heard something so absurd.

After about ten seconds she asked, "So you contacted me to bring this person to Universe 10?"

"I've already reported it to the Grand Priest. His instructions were for you to help him, Sister Kusu. Guide Ken until he becomes a true angel," Merus explained.

"Even the Grand Priest is aware?" Kusu blinked, then nodded in understanding. "Of course. Something this important must be reported."

"Yes, exactly," Merus said quickly.

"Very well. Leave it to me. I'll see he's trained into an excellent angel," Kusu agreed. "How long until you arrive?"

"I just created a wormhole. It won't be long before we reach the edge of the universe," Merus answered.

"So, by your speed, three days at least?" she calculated.

But soon her eyes narrowed at the background behind Merus.

"Wait… you're not traveling by spaceship, are you?" she asked.

"Yes, Sister Kusu. We're flying in a spaceship," Merus admitted. "At its speed, it'll take at least a month."

"Should I ask the Supreme Kai to fetch you?" she offered.

"No need to trouble him," Merus said with a smile. "The Grand Priest wants Ken to experience the hardship of training. Only then will he push harder in the future. He's human, with less than a hundred years to live."

"In that case, I'll wait patiently," Kusu said gently.

The call ended.

Merus exhaled deeply, opened the hatch, and stepped out.

Outside, Ken could feel the ship moving through a strange space. Streams of light shimmered all around.

Surprisingly, the vessel remained stable, gliding smoothly—as though it were in a tunnel of space-time itself.

It reminded Ken of Doraemon from his past life, leaping through time with Nobita in tow.

That's what this looked like.

Broly pressed against the window, eyes full of confusion.

Ken glanced around the ship. Merus wasn't in the control room.

Then—Merus' door slid open.

He stepped out, froze, and his face paled.

"Damn! Where have we ended up?" Merus bolted to the cockpit, frantically pressing buttons.
