Chapter 218 - Chapter 218: Electrolux – “My Ambition Isn’t Big, I Just Want to Create a World.”

"Senior Lin, Elder Song, are you really giving me this Spirit Devourer Carving Knife?" Zhu Ziyang looked thoughtful. "But I'm not a Soul Engineer. This carving knife doesn't mean much to me."

"Shortsighted, aren't you?" said Elder Lin with a chuckle. "Even if you're not a Soul Engineer, won't you command Soul Engineers under your banner in the future? This carving knife is the perfect token of favor. The best approach is to purify it right in front of that person—only then will they truly feel grateful and loyal to you."

"Alright then," Zhu Ziyang nodded. "I'll accept it."

"Now you're thinking properly." Elder Lin and Elder Song smiled and handed over the pouch storing the Spirit Devourer Carving Knife. "This pouch is a sixth-grade Soul Tool, and the golden nanmu wood box suppresses the evil aura of the carving knife temporarily. When you have time, purify its baleful aura. That should tame it."

"I understand," Zhu Ziyang replied with a nod.

"In that case, we'll take our leave." With those words, Elder Lin and Elder Song departed Zhu Ziyang's room.

After the two elders left, Zhu Ziyang stared at the Spirit Devourer Carving Knife in the box. As he reached for it, before his hand even touched the blade, a wave of cold, gloomy energy crept up his fingers and into his senses.

"What a vicious blade," Zhu Ziyang muttered. Instead of pulling back, he allowed the malicious aura to invade and gripped the hilt.

The moment he held the hilt, a more violent and sinister aura surged from the knife. Zhu Ziyang sneered. His ultimate light instantly enveloped his hand. The evil aura immediately recoiled and retreated into the blade, making the already black blade appear even darker, as if drenched in ink.

'So it bullies the weak and fears the strong.' Zhu Ziyang scoffed.

Electrolux and Er Shuang emerged from his spiritual sea. Er Shuang was her usual lively self, eyeing the knife with curiosity. But Electrolux's expression was filled with surprise and contemplation, his gaze fixed on the Spirit Devourer Carving Knife.

Noticing this, Zhu Ziyang asked, "Teacher, do you see something unusual in this blade?"

"Yes," Electrolux nodded. "Ziyang, purify this knife now."

"Okay!" Despite his confusion, Zhu Ziyang didn't hesitate. His expression grew solemn as he raised his other hand above the carving knife. A burst of ultimate light radiated from his palm. His eyes glowed golden, and a pure white light coalesced in his palm—this was the purest form of his evolved light.

The moment this evolved light appeared, the carving knife started to tremble violently. Streams of black mist, representing evil energy, gushed from it in defiance. But to Zhu Ziyang, this resistance was meaningless.

To someone who possessed ultimate light, such evil energy was like a child trying to push over an adult. The black mist was completely enveloped by the evolved light and began melting like snow under the morning sun, vanishing before their eyes.

As the evil energy dissipated, the knife itself underwent a radical transformation. It changed from an unremarkable black blade into a jade-green, crystal-clear, and exquisitely crafted gem-like treasure. Furthermore, the air in the room grew thick with life energy—unmistakably radiating from the carving knife.

Zhu Ziyang's jaw dropped. Er Shuang's face showed rapt delight. Electrolux, however, laughed with joy while a tinge of remorse flickered in his eyes.

"It really is Life-Gold!" Electrolux exclaimed. "I thought I was mistaken before, but it's truly Life-Gold! What a miracle! I never thought this world would have Life-Gold. How lucky we are to reclaim this knife. I'd regret it forever otherwise!"

Zhu Ziyang was puzzled. "Teacher, what kind of treasure is Life-Gold? You said 'I never thought' three times!"

"Life-Gold…" Electrolux repeated with admiration. Then he explained, "Though called a metal, it's actually a crystal of pure energy—the most refined form of condensed life force, a rare treasure of heaven and earth! This carving knife's blade is entirely made from Life-Gold. Such a chunk of Life-Gold would take tens of thousands of years' worth of life energy to form."

He paused, then added, "It seems this Douluo World, though not as advanced as the world I came from, has a remarkably deep foundation."

"So, Teacher, this Life-Gold contains immense life force?" Zhu Ziyang grasped the key point and beamed.

"Exactly!" Electrolux nodded, eyes gleaming with excitement. "I now know how to use it. Let's head to the Undead Demiplane!"

"Alright!" Though he didn't understand the plan fully, Zhu Ziyang trusted Electrolux completely. Their interests were aligned, and Electrolux was the last person who would betray him.

Zhu Ziyang opened a spatial gate. He and Electrolux stepped through, with Er Shuang trailing behind curiously.

"This is the Undead Demiplane?" Er Shuang widened her eyes at the desolate scenery and looked somewhat disappointed.

The half-plane hadn't changed much. The sky still had that black sun with a golden speck like a flare. The environment remained cold and eerie. Even with Zhu Ziyang as its new master, it was still an undead plane.

"Teacher, what now?" Zhu Ziyang asked, ignoring Er Shuang, already guessing Electrolux's plan to use the Life-Gold here.

"Simple," Electrolux smiled. "Take out the core of this plane and place the Life-Gold on it. Then drop a drop of your blood on it."

"Got it!" Zhu Ziyang summoned the core—a crescent-shaped gem—and placed the Life-Gold on top. Just as he was about to add his blood, Electrolux stopped him.

"Once the blood fuses with the Life-Gold, it will merge into the core and begin filling the missing laws of life in this plane. But based on my calculations, this Life-Gold can only complete half of the life law. You'll need another piece of the same size to finish it. Are you sure you want to do this now?"

"Complete the law of life?" Zhu Ziyang asked, intrigued. "What will happen if we do?"

"It'll become an embryonic world—a true half-plane. It can't create new life yet, but all the undead here will become real living beings. If you keep adding other elemental laws, it could one day evolve into a full-fledged world," Electrolux explained.

"You've had this ambition since the beginning, haven't you?" Zhu Ziyang said in awe.

"Indeed," Electrolux smiled bitterly. "But I was unlucky. I found only one piece of Life-Gold, and used it to create this half-plane. I never found another."

"Teacher, I understand now." Zhu Ziyang's eyes lit up with resolve. "What's there to hesitate about? We'll just find another one in the future!"

Without delay, he let a drop of his blood fall onto the Life-Gold.

The moment it touched, the Life-Gold and the crescent gem burst into radiant light. Before their astonished and expectant gazes, the Life-Gold began to melt. Liquid-green light filled the air and slowly fused into the gem.

A subtle, indescribable transformation quietly began spreading across the Undead Demiplane. As its master, Zhu Ziyang instantly felt the feedback and sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and began meditating—to sense and understand the evolving transformation of his world.
