Zhu Ziyang was quite surprised that the evolution of the Undead Demiplane had actually lasted for a full day and two nights, pulling him into deep meditation as well. From the night it started, he remained immersed until the morning of the third day when he finally awakened.
During this time, had Electrolux and Er Shuang not taken him out of the Undead Demiplane in time, he might have been discovered missing by Jiang Nannan when she came to call him for breakfast. Even so, Zhu Ziyang's deep meditation still drew concern from Elder Lin and Elder Song. They had to worry—after all, he had entered this state right after receiving the Spirit Devourer Carving Knife. If his breathing hadn't remained steady, they would have already begun emergency intervention.
Once he awoke, Zhu Ziyang first expressed his thanks and reassured Jiang Nannan, Ma Xiaotao, Elder Lin, and Elder Song who had been guarding him. Then, using the excuse that he needed rest and time to process his gains, he sent them away.
After they left, he immediately summoned a spatial gate and eagerly stepped into the Undead Demiplane.
As soon as he arrived, Zhu Ziyang was stunned by what he saw.
Though the size of the Undead Demiplane remained unchanged, its overall tone had shifted from a cold, eerie gray to a warm, vibrant spectrum of colors. The once barren black land was now carpeted with lush green moss—a sign of life. The sky had turned pure white, and the sun shone in brilliant gold. Compared to the real sky and sun, there was now very little difference.
This place could no longer be called an "Undead Demiplane."
"I never imagined that just a single piece of Life Gold could fully complete the life law of this demiplane," said Electrolux as he appeared, wearing a look of surprise and excitement, tinged with a trace of melancholy. "Sigh, it seems I overestimated the level of the demiplane."
"Teacher, maybe it's because of me!" Zhu Ziyang quickly tried to comfort him. "After all, I halved the size of the demiplane. If it had remained at its original scale, then this piece of Life Gold wouldn't have been enough, right? So you were right!"
"Haha, thank you, Ziyang!" Electrolux was heartened by his disciple's comfort, but he was also clear-eyed. He said, "You're partly right, but not because of the size. It's because your own powers have manifested within the demiplane during this evolution. You should feel it—new laws have appeared here."
"Light and ice laws!" Zhu Ziyang focused briefly and immediately sensed them, exclaiming in surprise.
"Exactly," Electrolux confirmed. "You've already reached the human limit in both light and ice elements. And as the master of this demiplane, when the Life Gold was fused into it, these two elements manifested and established light and ice laws here."
"It's because of these two laws that the integration of the life law was so smooth. It's astonishing how strong your fortune is!"
With this, Zhu Ziyang realized the truth. His demiplane now held four laws: death, life, light, and ice.
As he toured the demiplane, he eventually arrived at the valley where the undead creatures resided. Once noisy, the valley was now silent. Every undead creature had transformed into large cocoons. With the demiplane's evolution, these native residents had begun transforming into true living beings.
This transformation wasn't without risks—resurrecting the dead into lifeforms was a defiance of the natural order. The risk, however, only applied to weaker undead. Top-tier undead like the Lich King and Hell Knight faced no such danger.
Zhu Ziyang and Electrolux stood looking at the five largest cocoons in the center of the valley, identical smiles on their faces.
Electrolux sighed and said, "What a pity. Only five of them remain. The promise I made to help them be reborn as humans has only been partially fulfilled."
He thought of the subordinates he once had. Most were either dead or left behind in his original world. Only a few remained to benefit from Zhu Ziyang's efforts. He couldn't help but feel sentimental.
"Teacher, it's alright," Zhu Ziyang comforted him. "Once I become a god, I'll definitely take you back to your world for a visit!"
"Hahaha! If that day comes, I'll make sure to gather every princess and saintess of my world to serve you as handmaidens!" Electrolux burst into laughter.
"Teacher, you better mean it!" Zhu Ziyang grinned.
The two stood on the mountaintop of the undead valley, laughing freely.
After a moment, their laughter faded. Electrolux said, "Alright, let's not disturb them. The Lich King and the others are expected to hatch in seven days. Now let's discuss something serious: what should we name this new demiplane?"
"Hmm," Zhu Ziyang thought for a moment and then said, "That's a good question. Let me think... Got it! Let's call it the Holy Law Demiplane, since you're its true creator."
"Holy Law Demiplane..." Electrolux repeated, then burst out laughing again. "Good, good, good! That name works perfectly. Ziyang, you've got heart."
"Hehe, it's only right," Zhu Ziyang scratched the back of his head, smiling.
They soon left the Holy Law Demiplane.
Back in his room, Zhu Ziyang immediately began sorting through his gains. The Holy Law Demiplane's feedback had given him quite a few benefits. First, his soul power—he had recently just broken through to Rank 64, but now he had reached Rank 65. Second was his spiritual power. After being baptized by the Life Gold, it had become purer, and his sea of spirit had expanded by thirty percent. Third was his physique, which had also received a major boost in resilience and strength from the Life Gold's baptism.
Lastly, and most importantly, was something based on his control over light and ice elements. His affinity with light had now reached the maximum—100 points—equal to his affinity with ice. He had also awakened the ultimate talent: Righteous Vitality.
Righteous Vitality increased Zhu Ziyang's soul power recovery rate by thirty percent. It was an incredibly practical and powerful talent.
Why so powerful? Let's explain.
Normally, a soul master's recovery rate decreases as their level increases. Higher-level soul power means higher quality and capacity, which makes recovery harder.
During meditation, the soul power recovery rate is 50%. Outside of meditation, it's only 10%. With each additional soul ring, recovery drops by 1%. A one-ring Soul Master recovers at 10%, but a Title Douluo only recovers at 1%, even if that 1% equals multiple lower-ranked soul masters' full capacity.
As mentioned before, possessing a soul core boosts recovery. For a Title Douluo, a soul core can increase recovery by 5% to 8%. It's the key factor distinguishing stronger Title Douluo from weaker ones.
As a Soul Emperor with a soul core, Zhu Ziyang gained an additional 10% recovery rate. Though this will decline as he advances, for now, his recovery rate stands at 15%.
With the Righteous Vitality talent, his recovery surged to 45%. That means his sustained combat ability doubled. Most importantly, this recovery boost doesn't weaken with higher soul power!
That's the scariest part—it's like carrying an infinite soul power milk bottle at all times!
Now for the final benefit from the Holy Law Demiplane.
Because Zhu Ziyang was both its master and the direct source of its light and ice laws, he could, by fully draining his soul power and physical energy, use the demiplane to launch a law-level attack.
A law-level attack is effectively a divine-level attack. Laws can only be controlled by beings at Rank 100 or higher—gods.
Thus, law attacks equal divine power.
This benefit was nothing short of heaven-defying. It gave Zhu Ziyang a trump card capable of handling any opponent below god-level. In simple terms: invincible among mortals.
Of course, it came with heavy restrictions. He must be in peak condition to avoid burning his life force due to insufficient soul power, and he could only use it three times.
In a way, using law attacks from the Holy Law Demiplane on the Douluo Continent was like using a foreign passport to run for national office—it was an extreme provocation.
Three times was the limit tolerated by the world's will. Any more, and… well, Zhu Ziyang wasn't interested in being smitten by the heavens.
He wasn't yet strong enough to ignore the rules.
