The next day, Zhu Ziyang and the other two, accompanied by Zhang Lexuan, departed from the Moon South Archipelago and returned to the Douluo Continent aboard a cargo ship. Without delay, the trio made haste and soon arrived at Shrek Academy, from which they had been away for a year.
Zhu Ziyang's return was met with an enthusiastic welcome from the Tianyuan Pavilion Elders, led by Xuanzi. Upon learning that Zhu Ziyang had reached the rank of Title Douluo, Xuanzi immediately convened a Tianyuan Pavilion meeting to carry out Mu En's second posthumous decree.
The elders quickly assembled: Elder Lin, Elder Zhuang, Xian Lin'er, Cai Meier, Qian Duoduo, and Yan Shaozhe—who had recently emerged from secluded cultivation after advancing to rank 98. Everyone was delighted by Zhu Ziyang's return, and when they heard he had become a Title Douluo, their joy reached a peak.
"Everyone, you're already aware of the decree Elder Mu left before his passing," Xuanzi began, speaking amid the jubilant atmosphere. "Now, Ziyang has lived up to Elder Mu's hopes. At just nineteen years old, he has reached the rank of Title Douluo. This is a historic achievement for Shrek Academy and the Tianyuan Pavilion. Therefore, I propose to return the position of Pavilion Master to Ziyang!"
No one was surprised by Xuanzi's words, nor did anyone object. After all, those eligible to enter the Tianyuan Pavilion were unquestionably loyal to Shrek Academy. They could all see that appointing Zhu Ziyang as Pavilion Master could only bring benefit to the Academy.
The motion passed unanimously.
"Ziyang, come. This is your rightful place!" Without the slightest hesitation, Xuanzi vacated the head seat at the long table, returned his own chair to its usual spot, and placed Mu En's former rocking chair at the head before gesturing for Zhu Ziyang to take it.
"Thank you, Elder Xuan." Zhu Ziyang did not refuse. He first bowed slightly to Xuanzi in respect and gratitude, then walked to the chair symbolizing the highest authority in Shrek Academy. After a brief pause, he sat down.
As Zhu Ziyang took his seat as Pavilion Master, the three great elders and his four senior brothers and sisters all revealed expressions of both gratification and anticipation. Even though only Xuanzi knew of Zhu Ziyang's divine inheritance status, his talent and potential alone were enough to inspire high hopes for a new future.
Following the transfer of leadership, at the suggestion of Xuanzi and Elder Lin, the elders began to discuss Zhu Ziyang's Title Douluo title. With Spirit Hall long gone, Shrek Academy was now the most authoritative institution for such matters.
After consulting with Zhu Ziyang, his title was decided: "Tranquil Heaven."
This title would soon be distributed to intelligence networks across the continent. Everyone would learn that Shrek Academy had gained a new Title Douluo by the name of Tranquil Heaven, though his true identity would remain a mystery—just like the Dragon God Douluo. Until they appeared before the world, they remained enigmatic codenames.
Becoming Pavilion Master did not stir any particular feelings in Zhu Ziyang. He had no intention of meddling in academy affairs just yet, and continued to entrust responsibilities to Xuanzi and Elder Lin. This left the two old men frustrated, but helpless to object.
In truth, with the implementation of the Three Great Plans, there were few matters in the academy requiring Zhu Ziyang's attention. He simply needed to govern with minimal involvement and focus on cultivating. As Xian Lin'er put it, "It's not time for you to act yet."
So, Zhu Ziyang took on the role of a hands-off leader in good conscience. First, he went home and spent seven leisurely days with his parents. Then he reunited with old friends like Tang Ya and Beibei, living a rather carefree life.
From Tang Ya, he learned that Princess Xu Jiujiu had left Shrek Academy to return to the Star Luo Empire a month before his return. She had looked back longingly with every step, clearly hoping to see him again—but he had still been adrift at sea.
Zhu Ziyang could only express regret. After all, he had still been sailing the seas at that time.
Meanwhile, the exchange group from the Sun-Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, led by the Hongchen siblings, was still in place. They would return to Shrek in another six months—bringing Huo Yuhao and He Caitou back with them.
Speaking of Huo Yuhao, Zhu Ziyang couldn't help but marvel. That guy truly was a child of fortune. Even in the enemy territory of the Sun-Moon Royal Academy, he was thriving, and he had even sent back important intelligence. For example, it was Huo Yuhao who had revealed the Sun-Moon royal family's collusion with the Holy Spirit Sect.
One month after returning to Shrek, Zhu Ziyang took Qian Lingyi and departed again, heading to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to fulfill the promise between her and the Infernal Delicate Apricot.
In truth, Qian Lingyi had already broken through to Rank 70 while they were still en route by sea. Four months had passed since then. She was eagerly anticipating her seventh soul ring—whether she could awaken the Six-Winged Angel martial soul hinged entirely on this.
They entered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with ease and arrived directly at the Scalding Yang Spring. Zhu Ziyang asked, "Yiyi, are you ready?"
"Mhm! Don't worry, Brother—I've been ready for a long time!" Qian Lingyi replied confidently, though a hint of nervousness in her eyes did not escape Zhu Ziyang's notice.
Understanding her anxiety, Zhu Ziyang gently took her soft hand and said, "Alright, then let's begin."
Their appearance had already attracted the attention of the immortal herbs, and the Infernal Delicate Apricot immediately rushed over the spring, excitedly calling out, "Yiyi, you're finally here!"
"Yes, Jiao Jiao, I've come!" Qian Lingyi replied with a warm smile.
After a brief reunion, Qian Lingyi sat cross-legged beside the spring, and the Infernal Delicate Apricot floated in front of her. Both of them turned to look at Zhu Ziyang, who calmly began the soul spirit contract ritual.
A crimson-red light quickly enveloped the two, and a massive cocoon—glowing red with streaks of gold—formed beside the Scalding Yang Spring. The other herbs in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well had seen cocoons like this before. Every time, it meant losing one of their own. How could they not feel envy?
The Fragrant Silk Immortal also noticed Zhu Ziyang's presence but made no move to interfere. Instead, it feigned sleep—if you can't stop it, you might as well not watch.
Zhu Ziyang wasn't interested in provoking the Fragrant Silk Immortal anyway. Though he had a budding plan to cause trouble for the Sea God, now was not the time to act.
His gaze remained fixed on the crimson cocoon. If Qian Lingyi could awaken the Six-Winged Angel martial soul this time, he would give her the Angel God position. If not, she would have to wait until she became a Title Douluo before receiving the divine spark.
This was Xiao Bai's suggestion. The Angel God position had originally been self-created by the first Angel God, whose martial soul was the Six-Winged Angel. If Qian Lingyi could inherit that martial soul, the difficulty of inheriting the god position would be significantly reduced. She might even catch the eye of the original Angel God, allowing the divine position to be restored.
Whether or not that future would come true—everything hinged on this very moment.
Zhu Ziyang watched the crimson cocoon intensely. As time passed, cracks began to form—until the cocoon shattered, revealing the girl within.
Her figure was graceful and captivating, her golden hair flowing all the way to her ankles like a shimmering waterfall. Upon her fair back, veiled by that golden cascade, sprouted six brilliant wings—two snow-white like clouds, two red like the rising sun, and two golden like a blazing sun. Though vastly different in color, they were perfectly harmonious.
When the three pairs of angelic wings unfolded behind Qian Lingyi, Zhu Ziyang's face lit up with pure joy.
Six wings—the Six-Winged Angel!
