Chapter 22 - Ex vs AI

"Alex, Timothy let's go. Carol's probably worried sick." Rudy prompted them.

"Who the fuck is Carol, I- I mean I can't wait to meet Carol. She sounds lovely." Megan stuttered as she tried to tone down her jealousy to prove that she could change, something Rudy found cute.

"You don't need to worry about Carol. If anything it's Alex who needs to worry since that's his wife and Timothy's mother. Speaking of Timothy, could you fully heal him, and also tell us why you needed beast corpses." Rudy said as they soared from one platform to the other, Alex leading them and Timothy just behind them but on the ground.

"Oh right. Can you please call him or make him float up here. I can't really heal him from this high up." Megan said, looking at the top of buildings 6 storeys and below.

"Sure. Hold on, tight." Rudy said as instead of floating Timothy up, they ended up free falling down to meet him.

Catching him mid teleport, Rudy asked Timothy to wait as Megan healed him.

"And done. Whew. Lucky it wasn't too deep otherwise it would have left scars behind." Megan said.

"Thank you Aunty Megan. I'll make sure to pay you back in future." Timothy promised after looking at his perfectly healed arms which he used to touch his face.

"Hehe. Don't worry about that, little Timothy. I'll make sure to drain Charles dry as payment." Megan kissed Rudy's lips to confirm her statement, the affection hitting Timothy like a sour lemon.

"I'm just gonna go… if that's alright with you guys."

"Sure sure run along little Tim. Charles and I have a little catching up to do." A blushing Megan said.

'Damn. I forgot she was a kissaholic as well. No complaints though.' Rudy thought. "Remember to change into something else before going back. Your house should be somewhere around here and your sweater can technically be called rags."

"Okay, thanks and goodbye." Shouted Tim as he blared in and out of reality.

With the third wheel gone, the newly reconciled couple felt the heat rising between them.

Right as Rudy was about to propose that they enter an abandoned hotel or motel, Astra's voice rang in his ear.

'Sorry to interrupt young master but I've got urgent news to report.'

"Can't it wait for 15 minutes Astra. I'm about to say hi to an old friend." Rudy whispered back under the confused stare of Megan.

'I'm afraid not young master. It's about the Category S individual you asked me to look into.'

"Category S…Frederick West. What has he done this time?" Rudy asked with an annoyed look.

'His body count has surpassed ten thousand, young master. He's also undergone some… changes if you will.'

"Hold on. We're coming home Astra." Rudy said before turning to Megan. "I'll explain when we get home." To which she just nodded.

Boom!

A 5-hour walk had been reduced to a 5 minute journey due to Rudy's combination of floating slightly as he leaped from air platform to air platform.

His enhanced body helping him.

Boom!

He landed on an air platform just a foot above the ground, momentum creating a shockwave which kicked about dust.

He deactivated the skill just like he did with the other platforms and fell harmlessly to the ground.

He led Megan into the hall of the fortress where Carol was berating Alex who sat quietly and took it all like a man.

Definitely not because he was afraid of the bat she was holding.

Timothy on the other hand was relaxed, lying in the leather sofa while playing a video game, headphones covering his ears.

"Astra, pause Tim's game and show everything you have on Frederick." Rudy ordered as he sat in one of the unoccupied sofas, Megan leaning snuggly on him.

"What the fu- hey, Charles that was quick. Thought you had more stamina bruh." Timothy teased, misunderstanding Rudy's early arrival.

"Bro, I paused the game for you out of goodwill. Don't let me make Astra delete your account." Rudy responded to the tease with one of his own.

"Yo Charles. I didn't know you were a dinosaur. How the hell do you pause a first-person shooter online game, bro." Timothy jabbed.

"With Astra, all things are possible. I just made the game buffer for everyone you were playing with. How do you think I win world tournaments. And besides, who has time to play games in the Apocalypse." Rudy asked.

"Don't know. Prolly some hardcore gamers or rich people in underground bunkers, like you." Timothy shrugged. "Anyway what was that for."

"Honey, can you tell me who this Astra bi- person is." Megan's possessiveness flared up once again.

"Hello Megan Summer, I'm Astra. I'm an AI designed by the young master to monitor anything and everything on this planet." A holographic image of an artificial model manifested itself.

Physical properties and proportions as perfect as it could be as if challenging Megan who looked down and found her chest area slightly smaller than the model, a major attack to her self confidence.

"Astra stop teasing Megan. Gosh I shouldn't have programmed you with a teenage attitude." Rudy said tiredly. "Sorry about that Megan. Astra can get a tad too playful and competitive at times."

"Un. No problem. As long as she knows her place and she isn't real, I don't have any problem." Megan said as she wrapped Rudy's arms around her body, placing his palms on her inner thigh close to a forbidden ground.

"Hehe. Is master's little toy feeling insecure. Good. As for my place, it's by master's side. Also I can make a physical body for myself, or even implant a micro chip with my consciousness into a model. The possibilities are endless." Astra responded, her giggle bouncing around in the room from one speaker to another.

"Darling, isn't there a way to delete her or at the very least shut her up." Megan asked, unable to control her jealousy anymore.

Before Rudy could even shoot down the idea, Astra beat him to it.

"While it would be difficult to do so, it is possible. But think about it. Would you choose a being who can only relieve you of physical cravings or you would choose a being who gives you control over the world, which may I remind you, has many better and sexier people than you. It's an obvious choice darling."

Realising that Astra was right, Megan just chose to remain quiet while inwardly freaking out.
