Chapter 79 - Chapter 78: Dream Garden

"Your Majesty, the God-King."

Loki, Sif, and Tyr immediately bowed their heads in a show of humility. Leon, wearing an exquisite robe that perfectly complemented the beautiful dream garden, had his back to them. He waited until the water had flowed over his palms before turning to face them.

Tyr was fine, but Sif, seeing the man standing with his back to the goddess fountain in the light and shadow of the fluttering pink petals, couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat. His handsome face and elegant demeanor were a sight to behold. Despite still admiring Thor in her heart, appreciating beauty was a trait shared by all intelligent, human-like races, and the Asgardians were no different.

Tyr, on the other hand, was completely in awe of the man before him. Although Loki had described him before, as a God of War who had experienced countless battles and met all kinds of powerful people, the invisible oppression from Leon was the strongest he had ever felt, second only to the God-King Odin.

"Loki, you are much better than I thought." Leon's gaze lingered on Tyr and Sif before settling on Loki, his tone full of praise. While they had a huge age difference, there was no sense of impropriety. Age and strength are not always correlated. Even Loki, as arrogant as he was, didn't find the praise misplaced.

"Thank you for the compliment, Your Majesty, the God-King," Loki replied, with extreme humility. When facing someone far stronger than himself, the smartest thing to do was be humble, a lesson he had learned and was now putting into practice.

Leon didn't pay much attention to Loki's flattery. He was genuinely surprised and impressed. The Great Serpent's divine power could create an aura of fear—an authority he had accumulated when he became a God-King. This power could not be shaken by normal means. Its strong vitality was closely related to Asgard, and to kill the serpent, Asgard would have to be destroyed first. This characteristic was similar to that of the Goddess of Death, Hela. Powerful enough force could destroy it, but it was a rare ability among mortals.

Loki was quite proficient in magic. He was at a "half-baked" level in combat, yet even after facing the serpent's fear-cursed heart, he hadn't succumbed to decay. His courage had been defeated, but he hadn't given up, which was the source of Leon's surprise. He was indeed worthy of being one of the future's two best kings of Asgard.

"State your purpose."

"Your Majesty, the Great Serpent has revived. My father, Odin, was assassinated by an Asgardian guard bewitched by him and has fallen into a coma due to the curse of fear. The serpent now wants to regain his full power. If he succeeds, it will be a disaster for the Nine Realms. We beg for your help," Loki said sincerely.

Leon calmly extended his hand, and a pink petal floated down, landing in his palm. He held it still, and the petal shimmered with golden ripples, as if it had been imbued with something sacred.

"This is a catastrophe that Asgard is destined to experience, and it is also the key to Thor's metamorphosis or death." He then pinched the petal and handed it to Loki, who took it in a daze. He instinctively wanted to ask a question, but Leon's voice came to his ear.

"When the war comes, the stars will descend. Now go."

As he spoke, the world in front of Loki, Tyr, and Sif turned upside down. The next moment, they found themselves standing in the great square of Asgard.

"This..." Sif was stunned. She knew full well the significance of being teleported directly to Asgard. Asgard had its magic barrier active, locking the entire space. It was impossible for anyone to enter through spatial means, but Leon had done it, so easily and quietly.

"This method... I finally understand why you said what you did, Loki." Even the knowledgeable God of War, Tyr, was shocked. From his perspective, Leon could have easily killed them, and they wouldn't have been able to resist. Just as Loki had said, they were like ten beings whose courage would be lost when facing the Great Serpent.

"His appearance alone is beyond common sense, but I am more concerned about what he said and this thing," Loki said, raising his hand to look at the pink petal in his palm, which shimmered with a sacred golden hue. "The stars will descend... Could it be that in a time of crisis, the God-King will lead his warriors to support us?" Sif guessed.

"Perhaps, but is this thing for Thor?" Loki frowned, feeling that the petal in his palm contained some incredible and incomprehensible force. After a short silence, he immediately turned and left. Sif and Tyr exchanged glances and hurried to follow him.

In the dream garden, Leon stood in place. This place was another space created between reality and the parallel world—a space that he had personally opened after understanding the Space Stone. The size of this space was about the same as Earth. As for the endless flowers, goddess sculptures, fountains, and lakes, they were all created from his supreme power, but they weren't permanent. If nothing unexpected happened, they would soon wither.

Simply put, they were disposable items. This was merely an experiment of Leon's, a preparation for the creation of the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary would not be built on Earth but in a new parallel space, floating outside of reality without being completely disconnected from it.

"Assassinated and seriously injured, falling into a coma, huh..." Thinking of what Loki had said, Leon laughed softly. It was ridiculous that Odin would be stabbed and put into a coma by a bewitched Asgardian guard. But no matter what, Leon's appearance had disrupted the sacred timeline, and Odin was now uncertain. The timeline was already a blur, so Odin's decision for the future of Thor and Loki was obvious. For Leon, this was good news.

Asgard had accumulated a vast amount of resources over the years, including a wealth of knowledge, treasures, and materials. Leon wanted to build a powerful God-Kingdom, and these things would be the greatest help.
