Chapter 114 - The Black Order Invades Earth, The Beginning of the Final War!

"Cassius!" Wanda's eyes instantly turned red the moment she saw Cassius. She sprinted and leapt directly into his arms.

Although she knew Cassius was powerful, she had been worried that something might have gone wrong. She kept telling everyone he would return, but she herself wasn't completely sure.

Now that he was here, the weight on her heart was finally lifted.

"It's okay, I'm home now." Cassius held Wanda and comforted her softly for a while until she remembered they were in front of everyone. Her face turned red, and she let go of him.

"What happened to Hela?" Cassius noticed Hela lying on the bed, her face pale. From the state of her armor, he could tell she was severely injured. His expression darkened. He had already noticed that the Rainbow Bridge outside was in ruins, and many Asgardians looked dejected and pained.

"Just now… a cosmic warlord appeared, named Thanos," Wanda recounted everything that had happened.

"Thanos?" Cassius was taken aback, his expression grim. He hadn't expected to forget about that damned big purple-headed guy. But before dealing with him, he needed to treat Hela.

He quickly walked over to Hela and grabbed her wrist. As the Horse Talisman within him began to circulate, a steady stream of life energy rapidly repaired Hela's injured body.

With the help of the Horse Talisman, Hela's condition quickly improved, and her pale complexion regained its color.

"Cassius, Thanos took our Tesseract. He's after the Space Stone inside it!" Hela said, giving him the news as soon as she recovered. She knew exactly what Thanos wanted to do. If he collected all the Infinity Stones, something horrific would happen, and the entire universe would be in danger. They had to stop him at all costs.

"Don't worry about it. Leave this to me," Cassius said, a coldness in his voice. He was only a Thanos. The moment he dared to harm Hela, he sealed his own fate.

Hearing this, the panicked expressions on everyone's faces lessened. They knew how powerful Cassius was.

"By the way, Cassius, who is this?" Loki suddenly asked with a strange expression. For some reason, he felt like the woman looked a lot like him. The energy flowing within her body was even similar to his. He had noticed her earlier but had been too preoccupied with other matters to ask.

Hearing Loki's question, Wanda finally noticed that another woman had come in with Cassius. "Oh, so you went out and brought back another woman!" Wanda said, gritting her teeth as she looked at Cassius.

Did he really think his body was an endless source of energy? It hadn't been long, and he'd brought another one back. At this rate, she'd have a hundred sisters in no time!

Thinking this, she reached out and started pinching the skin on Cassius's waist.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Cassius feigned pain, begging for mercy.

Hela's expression became knowing. She simply watched the scene with amusement. Her new master was quite interesting. She didn't have any issues with him having more women; to her, strength was the only thing that mattered, and having many women was a sign of it.

"Stop faking it!" Wanda gritted her teeth and pulled her hand back. She knew how thick-skinned Cassius was. She couldn't even hurt him with her Chaos Magic.

"Actually, this woman…" Cassius proceeded to tell them Sylvie's story. Upon hearing it, everyone present looked at her with sympathy. What surprised them even more was that Sylvie was also a God of Mischief.

"She's a version of me from another universe?" Loki wasn't angry at all. Instead, his face was filled with curiosity. "Looks like she's not as good-looking as me, though."

Although he knew countless parallel timelines existed, he couldn't help but be curious to see a version of himself in person. But the moment he said that, he had a bad feeling.

At that moment, Sylvie slowly appeared behind Loki.

Pfft.

Loki instantly clutched his side and crouched on the ground. He had just realized that if she was also a God of Mischief, she certainly wouldn't be an easy person to mess with!

"I hope you watch what you say next time, or it'll be both kidneys." Sylvie looked down at Loki, who was on the ground clutching his side, with a playful look in her eyes.

"Alright, that's enough. Stop messing around," Cassius said, rubbing his forehead in frustration. He used the Horse Talisman to heal Loki. However, since neither of them were good people, Loki pretty much had it coming.

Because of Sylvie's tragic past, Wanda didn't feel any hostility toward her. She found her story so sad, having to grow up in such an environment.

....

Meanwhile, above Manhattan, New York.

A massive, circular landing craft broke through the thick clouds and slowly appeared above the city. The moment the ship appeared, people looked up in terror. It was like a giant metal monster, and the sight alone made people gasp.

"What is that thing?! Is that an alien ship?!"

"They're not going to attack us, are they? Is something big about to happen again?!"

"Look, the monsters on the ship are coming down!"

"…"

The civilians on the street didn't realize the gravity of the situation. As the landing craft descended, a massive gust of wind followed.

And then…

BOOM!

With a thunderous crash, the ground shook. Buildings were directly torn apart and collapsed!

With just that single action, the civilians knew for sure that their intentions were malicious. The streets instantly descended into chaos. Countless civilians ran and screamed. In a matter of moments, the streets were completely blocked.

CRACK!

A beam of light shot down from the sky. When it disappeared, two figures, one large and one small, appeared.

"So this is Earth?" Cull Obsidian moved his joints, a bloodthirsty glint in his eyes.

"It looks quite nice. A vibrant planet," Ebony Maw said, his hands behind his back. He took a deep breath, then looked at the terrified people with disdain.

"This is where we belong!" Cull Obsidian said excitedly, waving his massive ax, his expression becoming menacing. He preferred this environment to Asgard. He loved to destroy things that seemed so perfect.

"Looks like we have company." Ebony Maw's gaze shifted to the horizon. A black and gold figure descended from the sky, followed by a dark figure. As they landed, the rocks beneath their feet were blown away.

"These two guys… they're really not to my taste," Tony Stark said, opening his faceplate. He looked at Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian with a mocking expression.

"Tony, these two don't look like they'll be easy to deal with," Rhodey said, remaining on high alert. He could tell by their actions that they were here with bad intentions.

"Hey, Squidward! I don't care where you came from, but Earth is closed today," Tony said with a sarcastic tone. "So, you better pack it up and go back to your home!"

He had already sensed that the two of them were quite powerful. Otherwise, they wouldn't seem so composed!

"Tony Stark…" Ebony Maw said calmly, completely unbothered by Tony's mockery.

"I can't believe even Squidward has heard of me," Tony said, looking at Rhodey with a slight smile. Although his words were still laced with sarcasm, his eyes had become serious. The moment the enemy made a move, he would act. And judging by their actions, this situation was not going to be simple.

BZZT…

Just then, with a humming sound, a golden portal slowly opened behind Tony. A man in a red cloak and a slightly stout man walked out of it.

"Can someone tell me what you're doing outside my Sanctum?" Stephen Strange raised an eyebrow, looking at Ebony Maw with a strange expression.

"Hey, Magician, aren't you supposed to be practicing a new trick today?" Tony said, teasing him. But his heart felt a bit lighter. With more people to help, their chances of winning were much greater.

"You'd better stay hidden inside your armor. I'm afraid I'll hurt you by accident," Stephen said, giving Tony a disdainful glance, his expression full of arrogance.

"Oh, really? With your parlor tricks?" Tony said, shrugging.

"Enough!" Ebony Maw said, his eyes flashing with anger when he realized they were ignoring him. He pointed at Stephen and said, "Hand over what you have on your chest!"

"What? You want this? In your dreams," Stephen said, looking at the man pointing at his Eye of Agamotto, his eyes filled with contempt. It seemed that anyone was daring enough to make demands of him these days.

Ebony Maw's eyes turned cold, and he slowly raised his right hand. The rubble on the ground slowly floated into the air. With a flick of his fingers, the dust fell off the stones, and dozens of sharpened spikes hovered in the air. He flicked his right finger, and the spikes shot toward Tony and the others like arrows.

"Holy hell! This guy is attacking without a warning!" Rhodey saw this and immediately stepped forward. A shield quickly formed on his left hand, blocking the attack. The terrifying spikes struck the shield, causing loud booming sounds. With each explosion, the spikes turned to dust. Even so, the continuous impact forced Rhodey to stumble backward a few steps.

"What power!" Rhodey cursed to himself. They were only rocks, but they almost knocked him off his feet.

"Rhodey! Get down!" Tony roared. The light in his chest began to condense rapidly, and a terrifyingly brilliant beam of light instantly shot out. The beam raced toward Ebony Maw. At that critical moment, Cull Obsidian stood in front of Ebony Maw. He raised his massive ax, blocking the terrifying beam of light.

BOOM!

The unimaginably powerful beam of light was effortlessly blocked by Cull Obsidian.

"Interesting!" A look of excitement appeared in Cull Obsidian's eyes. He casually grabbed a nearby car and threw it at the heroes.

Tony's eyes narrowed as he saw the car flying toward him. He only had time to raise his hands and block the impact with his chest, but he was still sent flying.

"Magician, where's your magic trick? Are you just here to watch the show?" Tony said, gritting his teeth as he got up. The impact had left him breathless. He never expected this guy to be so strong!

Just as he finished complaining, his face turned grim. The large guy casually picked up another car. Then, with a mighty toss, he threw it toward the heroes. This time it was even more powerful than before. A sonic boom was heard as the car was thrown.

"What the hell did this guy eat as a kid to have so much power?!" Tony gritted his teeth, ready to take the hit. But at that moment, an Inter-Dimensional Portal suddenly appeared in front of him. Wong quickly opened another portal, and the thrown car was sent flying back toward Cull Obsidian.

Faced with this sudden attack, Cull Obsidian was caught off guard. He could only raise his hand to block his head. But even with that, he was sent flying.

"Alright. Enough with the jokes, let's go!" Rhodey scoffed. He leaped into the air, and his armor carried him quickly toward Ebony Maw. He had noticed earlier that he couldn't match the big guy's power. So, he aimed for Ebony Maw. If he could get close, he could easily overpower him with his own strength.

BZZZZT!

He went all out from the start. Blue flames shot from various parts of his body, and he flew toward Ebony Maw like a missile. At the same time, multiple small missiles launched from his back.

Pew, pew, pew!

Dozens of small missiles flew toward Ebony Maw. The exhaust from the missiles successfully hid Rhodey's movements.

Rhodey had already planned his next moves. But at that moment, his eyes widened in shock. Ebony Maw slowly raised his left hand and, with a motion like he was grabbing something from the air, casually threw it to the side.

The dozens of small missiles lost all control and crashed into a nearby building, exploding in a chain reaction.

At that moment, Ebony Maw's right index and middle fingers casually flicked upward. The ground instantly cracked open, and a pillar of steel rose up from below, violently slamming into Rhodey's back. The immense pressure from the impact sent Rhodey flying high into the air.

[Beep, beep, beep! System check: Flight system offline!]

Rhodey, bleeding from the corner of his mouth, his eyes filled with shock, was in the air. "Restart!" Rhodey yelled, gritting his teeth, but there was no way the flight system would restart in time.

"Holy crap! Tony!" As he watched himself plummet, he could only put his hope in Tony.

"I'm coming!" The moment Rhodey's flight system went down, Tony had started flying toward him. But at that moment, countless iron spikes rose from the buildings and flew at Tony. He quickly dodged the spikes, flying higher. Just then, an iron beam, like a giant python, wrapped around Tony's right leg.

"Damn it!" Tony's expression changed dramatically. He blasted his repulsor at the steel, but the brief delay was enough for Rhodey to fall further.

"Rhodey!" Tony roared in frustration!

At that moment, a white figure quickly weaved through the buildings. Simultaneously, several webs shot out, sticking to Rhodey in mid-air. It stopped Rhodey's fall and brought him toward a nearby wall.

At the same time, a web was quickly thrown out and stuck to both of Ebony Maw's hands!

"Ghost-Spider?!"
