Cristal stood at class S door ,she was quite nervous, she had moved from class F to class S without passing through the other classes.The reason was because after Cristal awakened her powers she had perfect control, this was due to all the vampire classes she had attended during training.
"Cristal ,"someone called from behind.
"You are always late,"Cristal said to her best friend silver.
"Look who is taking," she smiled. They have grown close in the past few years. "I can't believe we are now classmates " they continued taking as they went inside the classroom.
The morning class was theory class, "we have a new classmate,why don't you introduce yourself." The teacher said after everyone have settled in their sit.
"Am Cristal Barn, joining from class F ,"she said following the antiquet .
"Teacher isn't she supposed to move to Class E,"it seemed not everyone was happy to see her.
"Yes, that would have been the case if she had partially awakened her abilities or lacks control, but Cristal here has awakened all vampire abilities and is in full control. "The teacher explained
"All vampire abilities, no one in this class have awakened all,"another student doubted.
"Does that mean she better than us?"a girl asked saying what was on everyones mind. only adults have awokened all their kindred abilities, some are quite complex taking years to perfect and now a student not even a teenager have ,no one was buying it.
"I wouldn't say better,but you know she is quite special so,"the teacher trailed of.
Elsewhere in the nightfed territory a meeting was taking place.
"Cristal have awakened vampire abilities, that should make her one of us," one of the nightfed lord said .
"I heard she has awakened all the abilities,"someone else charmed in. The discussion about Cristal were heating up.
"We should force them to give her to us," John said.
"we are not risking a war for her, "Brian announced." Unless we have something to offer we can't force them,"
"We could claim she is a vampire and the rules state each kindred is not to live in another kindreds territory,"most lords in the room nodded, indeed there was such a rule , passed to avoid conflicts among them.
"That could work, but what about when she awakens her wolf abilities, then we would have to fight for her," Brian started, "unless we find her mother,"
"We have been searching for years ,but still nothing," one of the lords said remembering their efforts.
They had held a meeting after Olivers trial. "The only information we have is that she belongs to falcon domain," one of them had said
"But I thoroughly checked everyone in my domain, "Brian defended
"Not just anyone ,she was said to be a servant, her name was ," John paused trying to recall her name ,"Maya.
Brian ordered the guard to escort all the servants to the room,." Where is Maya"
"We don't know my lord ,we haven't seen her,"the servant incharge replied keeping her head down.
"How so,"Brian asked,"ain't you incharge"
"Yes, but one day during break time she never came back we searched the whole place but nothing,"
"Why am I hearing about this now,"Brian was clearly irritated.
"We reported to the head of the guard,"
"And,"
"He said they can't waste resources on a servant,"a servant who was close with Maya replied before the servant incharge spoke.
It made sense why they won't bother to use their resources to find a servant, since the news about Oliver getting a vampire pregnant, more vampire have gone missing and it was the same with the low ranked werewolves in the moonborn territory. They were secretly experimenting again.
After interrogating the servants ,they learned that Maya was the mother, but nothing more was found. It's been nine years but still dead ends .
"Maybe Maya won't awaken her wolf abilities,"someone offered,
"That's brilliant,we have to prevent her from awakening," John offered
"And how do you suggest we do that ,"Brian said open to any idea.
"We ask a witch to seal her wolf side,"John said proud of himself.
"Why would a willbender help us have an advantage over them,"Brian asked
"I know someone, who is willing to help,"silent followed no one could counter that.
Meanwhile in the willbenders territory a similar yet different discussion was going on.
"The hybrid might be a threat," one of the leaders stated.
"Not a threat, a blessing in disguise,The two kindred will be fighting over her, we should take the chance,"another raised
"Maybe we should join the winning side," a woman who stayed quiet most of the time said making the other leaders to turn ."The vampire have the upper hand since the hybrid have awoken their ability," she said seeing the need to explain.
"Sarah is right,"pam started,"but the werewolves won't give up their advantage without a fight,"
"So what do you suggest,"Sarah said she was nervous,' what did I get myself into,'she thought.
"We stay put, we help neither side until we are sure which side will win, then we can choose to attack or join them,"pam replied
"Seems like a good plan,"the leaders agreed nodding, that was except Sarah.
Sarah was a leader of one of the willbenders territory but she had commited a crime punishable by death, and to her bad luck lord John was a witness, they had came to an agreement to help John ,and him not reporting her. She had tried to sway the willbenders to help the nightfed but have failed, meaning she will have to betray her kindred.
In the human territory Malik was having the time of his life ,he was super everything,. Its been months since the awakening, "mom I can see in the dark," he had said to Maya smiling .
"If you didn't I would be worried," she had smiled back.
Today Maya worked home in a panick , "Malik"she called
"Mom ,am here," Malik answered from the room ,.Maya walked in and looked at his son .
"Did you do it?" she asked walking towards the window.
"Do what?" Malik asked
Maya pulled out his phone and played a news report," did you,?"Maya asked looking him in the eyes,.not requiring much sleep Malik trained at night this was to avoid humans from seeing him
"No!, mom ,I didn't"Malik replied seriously.
"Huhh!"Maya sighed
"You believe me,?"Malik was surprised,
"You still have a lot to learn,"Maya could tell if someone was lying by the fluctuations of the heartbeat."if it wasn't you then who,?"Maya whispered.
