Nash then enquired Jackal "How is things on your end? Are there any major conflicts? ". Jackal shook his head and replied "Just minor skirmishes boss, we can handle it ourselves". Jackal then took the ledgers and two letters alongside them and handed it to him.
Nash slowly read the information on the ledgers, while doing some calculations in between. After about an hour and half, he finally completed checking the ledgers. He looked at Jackal and praised him on doing a good job.
Finally, Nash opened the letters one by one and started reading them. His straight eyebrows furrowed a little while reading, but by the end of the letter his eyebrows relaxed. Once he finished reading, Nash shook his head in disappointment.
After that, he asked the servants to bring him his brush, paper and ink. Then he firmly wrote a reply to both the letters, sealed it in a envelope with his organization's unique seal and gave them to Jackal.
He then commanded "Jackal, for the next three years, tell them to not make any big moves and avoid conflict. Instead of expanding, they should be digesting what they currently have."
"Also, I've detailed the solution for the issues in the letter. Once I leave, I trust u will take care of things". Jackal gave a nod and replied "Sure boss, but how long will we be without contact"
Nash thought for a moment and answered "From six months to three years. I can't say for sure the exact time, but I can coordinate with you after three years. If there is an emergency, you can contact me using the communication token."
"Ok boss" Jackal replied and added "I wish you success Boss. I'm also eagerly waiting for us to make more moves in the cultivators circle". Nash shook his head and spoke "I think what we achieved till now will suffice. If we make more moves on the cultivator's domain, we will be targeted and taken down"
"The competition there is fierce and we don't have any big backing. So slow progress is what we should be aiming at. And most importantly, consolidating and maintaining what we have should be our focus."
Jackal nodded in acknowledgement. Then the both of them spoke in length about the organization, the Numbers in particular and finally about their personal life. Once they were done catching up, Jackal stood up and spoke "Then, I shall take my leave boss." with that, he bowed to Nash and left.
Once Jackal left, Nash also left the garden and entered his private quarters. He ordered all the servants to leave. Once; everybody left. He sat on the meditation cushion in his room, closed his eyes and gave a mental command "System interface".
