Sunny's POV
The Shadow King's laughter stopped abruptly, and his red eyes blazed with sudden fury.
"You still don't understand," he snarled, raising his hands. Dark magic shot out from all seven dimensions at once, hitting Sunny and Luna like hammers made of ice.
"Stop fighting the truth!" the Shadow King roared. "Let me show you what love really does to the universe!"
Before Sunny could defend himself, the mountain around them exploded into new visions. But these weren't alternate versions of their story anymore. These were real histories from across the magical realms.
"Watch and learn, little sun prince," the Shadow King commanded.
The first vision showed a pair of bonded mages from centuries ago. Like Luna and Sunny, they had opposing magics that worked perfectly together. Like Luna and Sunny, they thought their love could save everyone.
"We are meant to be together," the ancient sun mage was saying to his moon witch partner. "Our bond will bring peace to all realms."
