Chapter 58 - The Third Ingredient

Luna's POV

Luna gasped as consciousness slammed back into her body like a lightning bolt.

She was lying on cold stone, her chest burning with returned life. The magical death that had claimed her was gone, replaced by weak but steady silver magic flowing through her veins.

"The prophecy," she whispered, remembering what had saved them. "We're still prophecy carriers."

Sunny was stirring beside her, his golden magic flickering back to life. The Shadow King stood over them both, his face twisted with rage and confusion.

"Impossible," he snarled. "The soul separation should have killed you permanently."

"But it didn't," Luna said, struggling to sit up. "Because you can't separate souls that are bound by incomplete prophecy magic."

"Then I'll complete your deaths manually," the Shadow King declared, raising his hands to cast a killing spell.

"Wait," came a new voice.

The first light-creature appeared, swimming through the dimensional barriers with obvious urgency.
