"142, long time no see. What good stuff have you brought me this time?" the Grandmaster asked bluntly.
"This one is not bad at all. He should be no weaker than Hulk. Last time, that guy introduced Hulk to me, but this one I caught myself, so the price is double. Five million star coins!" Valkyrie stretched out her palm toward the Grandmaster.
Hearing this, the Grandmaster's eyes lit up with excitement. "No weaker than Hulk? How so?"
"This one is from Asgard, and not just anyone, he is a king. A true godborn with a body far stronger than most," Valkyrie explained.
"Really? A king with Odin's bloodline? That's worth five million star coins!" The Grandmaster nodded with great interest, signaling his female guard.
The guard nodded back and immediately transferred five million star coins to Valkyrie.
After receiving the money, Valkyrie handed over the bio-toxin controller.
"He's yours now. I'll take my leave." Valkyrie turned to go, but the Grandmaster stopped her.
"Since you say his strength rivals Hulk's, why not let them fight? Don't you want to see for yourself?"
Hearing this, Valkyrie paused, then smirked and sat down to watch.
Seeing her, Loki forced a smile. "Valkyrie, long time no see."
Valkyrie glared coldly at him. "Shut your mouth. I am no Valkyrie anymore. Call me that again and I'll kill you."
"No need to get so angry. And honestly, you couldn't kill me anyway. I just wanted to remind you, Hulk and Thor have quite a bond. Since you brought them both here, if they join forces, you'll be in trouble," Loki said with a sly grin.
"Hmph, worry about yourself," Valkyrie replied with no expression.
"As you wish." Loki shrugged indifferently.
As they spoke, Thor was suddenly doused awake with a bucket of cold water.
The moment he opened his eyes, Thor erupted with fury, ready to find Valkyrie and settle accounts. But when his gaze fell on Loki standing beside her, he froze in shock, then burst with excitement.
"Loki, you're alive! This is great!"
"..." Loki.
"My dear brother, if you're alive, why wouldn't I be? I'm still waiting to become the king of Asgard," Loki said dryly, rolling his eyes.
Thor looked thrilled. "I can't believe it's you! Where are we? These people are villains, especially that woman. Let's leave together and return to Asgard. We must save our people. We cannot abandon Asgard!"
Loki slapped his forehead in frustration. "Thor, are you an idiot? Look at your situation. Do you really think you can leave here? And why should I return to Asgard with you, just to die alongside you? You saw how powerful that woman is. With our strength, we can't do anything against her."
Thor fell silent at Loki's words. After a while, he said, "Maybe I can't save Asgard, but there is someone who can. The Lord of Life. He made a promise with Father. He will act."
Loki sneered. "Oh really? When Hela crushed you and kicked you out of Asgard, where was he then? Why didn't he help?"
The mention of the Lord of Life made Loki's face darken. He still held a grudge. Once, as nothing more than a messenger, she had punched him straight to the moon, where he nearly starved after being stuck for half a month. Compared to that, Hulk tossing him around like a ragdoll felt mild.
"Things happened too quickly that time. I'm sure he didn't notice. If I pray, he will hear me," Thor insisted, preparing to start a prayer.
But before he could, the Grandmaster's guard pressed the bio-toxin control.
Thor's body convulsed violently as if electrocuted, his whole frame twitching comically.
"Damn it! Enough already!" Thor roared angrily as he collapsed to the ground. In less than an hour since arriving, he had been "zapped" four times.
He was the mighty God of Thunder, yet they kept shocking him. It wasn't even that painful, but the humiliation was unbearable.
"This one's body is tough, but his brain is lacking. Toss him into the arena and let him fight Hulk," the Grandmaster said disdainfully.
With a wave of his hand, a portal opened and swallowed Thor.
In the blink of an eye, Thor found himself standing inside the arena.
The audience erupted in curiosity.
"Who's that guy? A new fighter?"
"He's so small. Compared to Hulk, he looks like a bean sprout!"
"This weakling dares enter the arena? He'll get crushed in seconds!"
"Hahaha, he'll be dead in one hit!"
Their mocking laughter echoed through the stands. Normally, Thor would have snapped their necks for such insults, but this time he ignored them. His eyes were fixed on one person.
"Hulk! It's you! Hahaha!" Thor burst into wild laughter, ecstatic at the sight of his old ally.
But for Hulk, anyone who entered the arena was an opponent. No matter who it was, even Thor.
"Roar!"
Hulk unleashed a sonic roar, blasting Thor with sound waves.
"Whoa, Hulk, is this how you welcome me?" Thor said, stunned.
Hulk gave no reply. He clenched his fist and slammed it into Thor's face.
The massive fist hit like a speeding train, launching Thor across the arena.
Boom!
The impact shattered the arena's iron walls into fragments.
Any ordinary being would have been reduced to pulp. But Thor was no ordinary man. His body was incredibly strong. Though the punch hurt like hell, he endured it.
"Banner, what are you doing? It's me, Thor! Your friend from Earth, your teammate. Don't you remember?" Thor called out as he staggered to his feet.
But Hulk only grew angrier.
"No Banner. Only Hulk!" he shouted like a stubborn child.
Then he leaped ten meters into the air, crashing down toward Thor.
Thor's expression hardened. "Hulk, enough! Don't think I'm afraid of you."
"Hulk!" Hulk roared, stomping down.
"Then don't blame me!" Thor growled, his body sparking with lightning.
Hulk's foot came crashing down, aiming for Thor's head. Thor dodged with a quick step back, then launched a lightning-charged uppercut.
Boom!
The punch struck Hulk's chin, blasting him into the air. Lightning crackled across his massive body as he crashed to the ground.
The entire arena fell silent.
For five whole seconds, no one made a sound.
Then voices erupted.
"Incredible! That little guy can use lightning!"
"He's strong, stronger than I imagined. He knocked Hulk down!"
"This is the first time I've seen Hulk hit like that. This fight just got interesting!"
"Lightning boy! Lightning boy!"
The crowd roared in excitement. Some of Hulk's fans even started cheering for Thor.
Even the Grandmaster looked thrilled. "Amazing. To go toe-to-toe with Hulk, this one truly is a treasure. No wonder 142's goods are always top-notch."
Hulk, however, was not finished. He climbed back up, more furious than before. The angrier he became, the stronger he grew.
With a roar, he charged again.
Thor also charged, both of them ready to clash.
But just as they were about to collide, their bodies convulsed, and both dropped to the ground like they had been electrocuted.
The Grandmaster had ended the fight.
"Such fine goods cannot be wasted all at once. They must be savored. Take them away," he ordered with a sly grin.
The guards moved in to drag them off.
But before they could, a cold voice rang out across the arena.
"These two are ours. You cannot take them."
A beam of holy white light descended, and from it stepped two graceful figures.
It was Tirpitz and Atago, who had arrived on Sakaar under Jason Kin's orders.
