Jay's POV
I rushed towards the hospital as soon as I got the call.
Didn't wait, just burst through the doors, asked the receptionist for directions and rushed to the vip room.
Jay: I'm gone for like one day and u guys already managed to put yourself in the hospital.
I said as I entered.
( A/N:- guys Ik what u might be thinking that it's keifer who is in the hospital bcz of what he said😂 It's not like that guys. Fortunately he can still walk, eat and yes future caretaker and watcher r fine🤣. I'll tell u what happened. For now let's continue😊 )
Everyone turned to look at me.
Jay( crossing my arms ): Explain to me what happened and why exactly is my ugly, idiotic step brother on a hospital bed and why thyme has a bruise on his jaw?
Percy( clutching his chest ): First u disappeared and then u came back just to insult me. R u trying to worsen my condition baby sistah🤧
Keifer: Where have u been Jay?
Before I could say anything aries started pulling my ear.
Jay( wincing in pain ): Ai ai let go of me aries. It hurts😖
Aries: It should. Do u know how worried we were. Don't run off like that again!
Jay: Ok ok now let go.
He let go and I immediately rubbed my ear while stepping away from him.
Aries: Do u know what happened after u left?
Jay: Well ofc not!🙄
Aries: Do u know who came here? It was-
Jay: That I know. What I don't know is why is percy in a hospital bed and who punched thyme?
I said cutting him off.
Keifer: After u ran off. We tried to search for u everywhere ( glaring at my team ) but somebody kept interfering. We searched all night. We haven't even slept or eaten anything yet.
Aries: And that's when percy started to panic. At first we thought he was just being dramatic as always but then he couldn't even move. Just folded like a piece of paper.
Percy( sarcastically ): Thanks for the compliment aries baby.
Aries ignored him and continued.
Aries: So we rushed him to the hospital. Turns out he was temporarily paralyzed again.
Felix: Scared the hell out of all of us.😒
Percy: Love u too felix😁😘
Thyme( holding his jaw ): And I tried to stop them from following u and ended up getting punched by keifer.
Rakki: Where were u jay? U didn't pick up our calls, didn't even send an ' I'm ok ' text. Just straight up vanished into thin air!
Ci-n: And how did u even know about percy?
Jay: Thyme filled me in. I came as soon as possible.
Percy: I was admitted in morning and it's evening. U call that fast? Is this how much u love me baby sistah🤧
Jay: I wasn't exactly.....here.
Before anyone could ask more questions, the door opened again and this time the doctor entered.
Doc:- Oh Ms. Martinez, what r u doing here? I already gave the files u needed to ur companions.
He said while looking at me. Everyone's head snapped towards me with big confused eyes.
I felt like slapping my own forehead🤦♀️. Great going doc👍 Why did u have to say that infront of everyone😫😖
Jay: Um actually doc ur patient percy is my step brother so I just came to see him. Can u give me his file too.
Doc: Oh ok. Sure. But first I'll need to examine Mr.Mariano and then I'll give u the files.
Jay:- Ok doc.
Doc:- I need u all to clear the room so I can do my work.
We nodded and went out.
The second the door closed behind us, they all bombarded me with questions.
" Who's Ms.Martinez? "
" Why was he calling u that? "
" What companions? "
" What files? "
" Where the fuck were u jay? "
" Tito and tita have been worried sick u know! "
" What the hell is going on here? "
Jay( waving her hand in front of them ): Ok calm down guys. I'll answer all ur questions. Just not now ok. I need to get the files first. Then I have some things to deal with.
Freya: No! U don't get to shut us down again.
Denzel: We deserve to know what's going on just as much as ur team!
Drew( doing the section e sign ): Section e forever right!

Keifer: Start by telling us what happened last night.
Jay: U first. Tell me everything that happened after I left.

Everyone's head snapped towards him so hard I thought someone would definitely break there neck.
Some choked on there drinks, some froze, some burned with anger and some just stared like they were watching a bomb diffuse.

Felix( whispering ): This just got a whole lot interesting.

I froze. Hand half shot up to break his skull! Eyes wide in shock. Cheeks on fire instantly😳 Everyone exhaled a collective sigh of relief while still glaring at him, looking like they almost had a heart attack!
Keifer just looked at me with that annoying smirk and some deep look in his eyes. Looking way too relaxed for a guy who almost mass murdered everyone with a single sentence! And then almost died himself😒😅
Everyone remained silent for a beat. Then ion chuckled awkwardly, breaking the silence.
Ion: I have to admit, even I was scared for a second there.
Everyone chuckled under there breath. The heavy tension breaking just a little.
Keifer( leaning closer ): U can let go of the glass now.....wifey.
I kicked him under the table.
Keifer( wincing in pain ): Ouch!
Rory: what happened?
Jay: Nothing. He's just being dramatic.
Keifer: Yeah it's nothing. A cat just got a little aggressive.
I shot him a warning glare. He just grinned in return. I could hear section e coughing knowingly. I shot them a glare too and they immediately shut up, pretending the floor was the most interesting thing ever.
Ion: U know, I never thought that the hurricane jay I knew back then was the one keifer told me about. I would have recognised u sooner but keifer didn't show me a proper picture of yours. It's been so long since I last saw u. U haven't changed a bit and yet have changed in some ways at the same time.
I gave her the best forced smile I could give!
Jay( in her mind ): And I didn't know the ate I knew back then for a little while would turn out to be the one who breaks my kuya's heart and is also my keifer's ex-fiance. People change just get with it🙄....but wait, what did she say about keifer?🤨
Jay: Wait um what do u mean keifer didn't show u a proper picture of me?
Ion( blabbing ): Oh he didn't tell u? Back in london when he was in his uncle's house on his birthday. U wouldn't believe me if I said that he was crying when I found him. We were still engaged back then and he showed me some pics of urs, none of which were taken well and then explained to me everything. U really mean a lot to him jay. U have no idea how many times he tried to break the engagement but he finally succeeded in the end.
Everyone was silent after hearing what she said. My hold on my glass tightened every time she said ' engagement ', each time it hit me like a knife to the heart but I kept my composure. Even keifer's smirk faltered a bit before he masked it again.
Ion: Oh wait, u did know about the engagement right?
Jay( through clenched teeth ): Yep.
Ion: Oh phew. That's a relief😮💨
She said, still unaware of the storm she was brewing inside me.
" Jay "
Someone said nudging me.
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at keifer.
Jay: Huh? What happened?
He pointed towards my hand.
I looked and saw my glass shattered in my hands. Blood spilling a little from my hand.
Keifer: R u ok jay?
Jay( looking away ): I'm fine. Just weak glasses, that's all.
I said, shrugging it off.
Ion: You're bleeding jay. Wait, I have an emergency first aid kit in my bag. Let me patch it up for u.
Jay: No it's ok, u don't have to.
Ion: I insist.
She then carefully treated my wound and wrapped it up.
Keifer( gently holding Jay's hand ): R u sure you're ok?
Jay( nodding quickly ): I'm fine.
Keifer stared at me for a second. Then nodded, still unconvinced.
The room went silent once again. The only sound that came was from the music that was being played in the bar.
Jay( clearing her throat ): I'll be right back.
Keifer( catching her wrist softly ): Where r u going?
Jay: I'm just going to the cr.
Keifer: Ok.
Once I entered the cr, I let out a deep breath I didn't even know I'd been holding in for a while.
Jay: Thank u sooo much universe. You're amazing. Just when I was happy u just had to drop a bomb in the shape of keifer and kuya Angelo's ex huh. Love u sooo much.
I said sarcastically.
Jay( talking to herself in the mirror ): Ok calm down jay. U will walk out that door and pretend like nothing happened, u hear me. Nothing's wrong. You're fine. You're absolutely fine! Ugh who am I kidding I'm not fine! Already too much is happening and now this.
I took a deep breath trying to stop myself from exploding.
Jay: Ok. I can do this. U just have to get through the night somehow and then everything's gonna be ok. Now I'm beginning to think it's a good thing they took away my phone. I can't handle all of this at once😔 ugh why r u blabbing to yourself jay. Get yourself together!
After giving myself a long pep talk. I finally stepped out of the cr, only to stop dead in my tracks.
Not too far from me, Mason was talking to someone on the phone while pacing a bit. F4 and robin standing not too far away from him, looking dead serious.
I leaned closer, careful not to get caught.
Mason: Yes Ik godfather. Ofc Ik that too. I'll tell her soon.
Ren: No. Tell him we'll handle it on our own.
Kavin( nodding ): I agree.
Mason nodded at them.
Mason: Godfather, me and the rest will handle it. Let her relax. She doesn't need to know. Atleast not now. Not everything.....Yes Ik that but we can handle it ourselves. I don't give a damn about that! Let them try!
Ok that's it! I can't take this anymore.
I marched towards them and took the phone from mason.
" Jay. Don't! ", they said at once.
Jay: Tell me what's going on.
They remained silent.
Jay: Fine....Hello godfather, tell me what's going on.
They tried to take the phone away from me but I didn't let them.
Godfather filled me in on what's going on.
I cut the phone in frustration.
Jay( angry + frustrated ): Why didn't u tell me!
Mason: Jay listen. U don't have to do this alone ok. Just let us handle everything.
Robin: u can't handle everything at once jay. Let us help u.
Jay: Give me my phone.
Thyme: Jay-
Jay: Give it!
They hesitated for a second. Then Mj took out my phone. I tried to take it but they stopped me.
Jay: U really wanna do this right now!
Kavin: Tell us ur plan first.
Jay: My plan is to get this all sorted before it gets more out of hand.
Mason: It already is! Just let us help.
Jay: It's only out of hand bcz of u all. U should have told me sooner and not hid it!
Robin: When we joined u, we promised to protect u no matter what and this is exactly what we r doing!
Jay( shaking her head ): Not like this. Godfather is struggling to keep it all together alone bcz u guys didn't tell me! I should be the one doing it myself instead of letting him! Now give me the phone!
Mj sighed and handed it over.
Jay: Stay here and look after the others. I have to go sort out this mess.
Kavin: Jay atleast let us help pls.
Mj: I can hack whatever u need me to hack.
Ren: Let's divide the tasks.
Jay: I'll contact u later. Keep me updated on what's happening here and don't let them follow me!
I said and left without giving them a chance to say more.
I headed straight to the table first to grab the car keys.
Felix: What happened jay?
Keifer: Why r u taking ur car keys?
Jay: I have to go.
Ci-n: Where r u going?
Jay: I just...have to go.
I said and walked out.
Keifer's POV
Jay walked out without explaining what's going on.
We followed after her but she already went in her car.
I followed after her in another car.
She was fast but I was about to catch upto her when another car blocked my path. I hit the breaks hard.
Thyme walked out of that car.
Keifer: What the fuck r u doing?
Thyme: I can't let u follow her.
Keifer: What do u mean?
Thyme: I can't let u follow her!
I punched him in frustration.
Keifer: Get ur car out of my way!
He shook his head in ' no '. I was about to punch him again but suddenly the others showed up and stopped me.
Thyme: U really want to pick a fight with me huh!
Mj: Stop it both of u!
Mason( looking at f4 ): We'll stay here. U go. Try to catch upto her.
They nodded, got in there car and drove away towards the direction jay went.
Aries: What the fuck is going on here?
Tony: We'll explain later. Let's just go home for now.
Keifer: No! I'm gonna go find jay.
Ci-n: Me too.
Percy: Yeah me too.
Felix: Then what r we waiting for. Let's go.
Robin: We can't let u do that. Jay doesn't want u all to follow her but trust me she's fine. She'll be back soon and when she is, she might fill u guys in.
Alex: Let's just go back home.
I gave a subtle look to edrix and rory. They understood instantly what I was trying to say.
Keifer: Fine. Let's go back everyone.
Aries: What? No!
Keifer: Just do it!
We got in our cars and went back home. When we pulled into the driveway. I turned towards edrix and rory who were sitting in my car.
Keifer: What's taking so long? Why haven't u found her yet!
Edrix: We're trying bro but...
Rory: But someone's jamming the signal.
Keifer( muturing under his breath ): Mj.
Edrix: I'm sorry bro. We can't find her.
I took a deep breath to calm myself.
Keifer: Let's go in before someone gets suspicious.
They nodded and we went inside.
Everyone was already waiting for us. Pacing around impatiently. Ion who came with us bcz choi wanted to bring her back to phillipines also looked worried about jay.
Aries( grabbing Mason's collar ): Tell us what's going on. Where's my sister!?
Mason: Easy bro. Calm down. She's fine ok. She'll be back soon. Relax. She's just dealing with some stuff that need to be sorted out as soon as possible.
Keifer: What stuff?
Aya: It's kinda hard to say. There's too much stuff. Some family stuff, some business stuff and some stuff in between and all u know.
Eman: Well then make it less hard and tell us what exactly is going on here.
Zia: Can't. Even we don't know the full story. The only people who can explain it r godfather and jay.
Keifer: Then call godfather and ask him. Now!

Just then tita reycee came in the living room.

We just nodded and went to our rooms.
When I reached my room I tried to call jay but she didn't pick up.
Keifer( muturing under his breath ): Damn it jay. Where r u? Pls just pick up ur phone, I need to know that ur safe.
I quickly changed an went downstairs. The f4 had arrived as well.
Keifer: What happened? Did u find her?
Thyme: Nope. She was too fast.
Keifer: Damn it!
Ren: Don't worry. She'll be back soon....I hope.
Keifer: Mj why the fuck r u jamming Jay's signal? We have to find her. She just got hurt, what if she sees the blood and starts to panic or hurts someone or worse huh.
Mj: I'm only doing what she told us to.

Mj: To not let u guys follow her.
Keifer: Why would she tell u to do that?
Mj: Bcz.....

Thyme: Bcz the people she has gone to visit r a bunch of power hungry manipulators and she doesn't want u all to get stuck in the middle of it. Once she sorts that and something else out, she'll be back.
Kavin: And when she is, she'll need space and peace.

Ren: She's not alone.

There was a beat of silence between them.
Mj: Let's go eat dinner. I'm hungry.
We then went to have dinner. Everyone was silent except for a little chit chat in between. Then tito suddenly asked.
Tito jaspher: Where's jay?
Everyone froze.
Percy( clearing his throat ): Um dad, jay-
Mason: She met some of her old friends and decided to stay overnight at there place. Sorry, she didn't tell u. She was just excited to see them. Must have slipped her mind or something.
Tito jaspher: Oh ok then and um who is this new girl?
He said pointing at ion.
Ion: Hello po. I'm ion. Choi's cousin and aries, percy and keifer's old friend.
Choi: We met at times square and decided that we should go back home together.
Ion: Sorry to appear uninvited po.
Tito jaspher( soft smile ): Oh that's fine. No problem at all. Any friend of my daughter's and her friends is always welcome.
We quickly finished our dinner. Tito, tita, the girls and ion went to there rooms while the rest of us regrouped in the living room. Waiting for jay to come back.
Soon morning came but jay was still not back. Our patience was seconds away from snapping. I could see worry etched in everyone's face.
Aries( grabbing mj's collar ): Where the heck is my sister. U guys said that she'll be hack soon then why isn't she!
Mj: I don't know.
Zia: She should have been back by now or atleast contacted one of us. She wouldn't disappear for so long without checking in.
Mason( sighing ): She must be planning something or.... I don't know.
Keifer( standing up ): I'm done waiting. I'm going out there and searching for her.
Tony: U don't know where she is and New York is a really big place to search.
Keifer: I don't fucking care!

We all set out to try and find jay.
After a few hours of searching we came back to the ma soon empty handed.

Before anyone could say anything more, a voice roared from behind.
" Aries "
We looked behind and to our surprise angelo was standing in the middle of the living room with his arms crossed. Behind him was tita gema, kieren and keigan.
Huh, what r they all doing here?
Before I could process things, kieren and keigan came running and hugged me tightly.
Keiren: Kuya we missed u so much.
Keigan: The house wasn't the same without u.
Keifer: What r u both doing here? How did u even get here?
Keigan: We came with tita gema and kuya angelo.
Aries: Kuya, mom what r u doing here?
Angelo: Long story. But first, explain to me where u all went so early in the morning?
Great. Just got here and already starting to lecture us🙄
Choi: But before that, u didn't see a certain person roaming around here did u😰
Angelo( eyebrows furrowing ): What r u talking about? We just got here.
Choi sighed in relief.
Angelo: Now tell me where u all went?

Tita reycee: I thought jay was at a friends house?
Mason( rubbing the back of his neck ): Well...

Keifer: We don't know.
Thyme: But she is safe.
Tita gema: How can u say that when u don't even know where she is?
Zia: It's.....complicated.
Angelo: Then make it less complicated!
Tita reycee: We should call the cops. Maybe they can find her.
Angelo: Go back put there and find her!
Aries: We tried kuya. We searched everywhere but we still couldn't find her.
Percy: Um guys.
Angelo: What now percy!
We all turned to look at him. He was breathing heavily, frozen in place.
Tita reycee: Baby r u ok? What's wrong?
Percy: Mom. I can't move.
Tito jaspher: Did u forget to take ur medicines percy?
Percy: maybe😅
Aries: What's wrong percy?
Percy: I can't move.
Then he suddenly fell on the floor. We all rushed to his side.

Tita reycee: Take him to the hospital.

Without wasting anytime. We picked him up, settled him in the car and took him to the hospital.
There we got to know about his condition. We stayed by his side while tita and tito went back. Soon the girls also arrived.
In the evening, we were just talking in the room when suddenly the door opened and in came jay, looking pale, worried and out of breath.
Finally she showed up after so long. Where the fuck had she been!
Then we explained what happened and asked her what happened too but before she could answer the door opened again and in came the doctor. He called her Ms. Martinez and said he gave some files to her companions? What the fuck is going on here? Then we left the room to let the doctor work and now here we r. Surrounding jay who vanished without a trace for like a day and who made everyone worried sick!

Jay's POV
Aries: u still didn't tell us where u went after the bar.
Felix: And why that doctor called u Ms.Martinez.
Ci-n: And what files and companions was he talking about?
Jay: Wait! I'll tell u everything ok. But first, I need to get the files and gi back to the mansion.
Keifer: Why?
Jay: Bcz now I'm hoping that godfather can handle everything over there while I stay here and plan everything out.
Mj: I weren't planning to do that from the beginning?
Jay: Well...not exactly.
Mason: Jay!
Jay: Look there wasn't enough time ok! Don't blame me. If u had jsut told me earlier than none of this would have happened!
Freya: Can somebody just explain to me what's going on!
Jay: I was on my way back to phillipines with my...companions when I got the call and had to turn around mid way.
Keifer: Why were u going to the phillipines without telling us and who the fuck r these companions?
Jay: Bcz of my my mom's case and....something else. And these companions r sort of like family. It's a little complicated ok! And now I'm just hoping godfather can somehow extend the court date and deal with the rest of the problems on his own!
Aries: Who r these companions jay jay?
Before I could say anything, my phone started ringing. I say the caller Id and instantly went to the side to answer it.
After talking I turned around and saw them all staring at me.
Jay: What?
Keifer: who was that?
Jay: Godfather. Luckily he managed to handle everything. For now.
Tripp: That's great. Let's go home and think about everything thoroughly.
Kavin( nodding ): U need to be prepared for anything that can happen in the court or the other thing.
Mj: I'll work on the case and the rest of f4 can help me.
Edrix: Me and rory can also help.
Jay: u don't have to.
Rory: We want to. Anything for our mutya.
Edrix: And we won't take no for an answer.
Jay: R u all not mad at me for disappearing and still keeping secrets from u all?
Aries: Weren't pissed about that but that won't stop us from helping u out in any way we can and besides, kuya and the rest r waiting back at the mansion to give a really long lecture so that also helps with the anger.
Jay( groaning ): I'm too tired for that😫
Aries: Should have thought about that before disappearing, troublemaker.
Keifer: Let's go back.
Jay: Not yet. I still have to get percy's file and we can't just leave him alone and I didn't exactly come here alone😅
Kent: Maybe some members of section e can stay here.
Blaster: Why us?
Tony: Bcz we know the problems and can help her prepare and well u don't and can't.
Zia: Have fun babysitting percy.
Aries: Ok eveyone wait. Jay, u said that u didn't come alone, does that mean ur ' companions ' r with u?
Jay: Well yeah, they were with me on the jet and when the plans changed we needed some files so they came with me.

Keifer: And where r ur companions?

Before I could continue, the doctor came out of the room.
Jay: Doc, how is my brother?
Doc: He's fine. His medications seems to be working well but they r not working as fast as we hoped they would.
Jay: So what should we do now?
Doc: Well, he should not be skipping his medicines like he did today and try not to make him panic much. And as for me, I'll try my best to help him recover quickly. Also, he'll have a daily checkup for a little while to make sure his condition doesn't get worse and he'll be kept under observation for a few days and we might have to run him through some test like x-rays and all.
Jay: Ok doc. Thank u and um can u give me his file?
Doc: Yeah sure. Let me just update his reports and then I'll have the nurse give u his file.
I nodded and then he went away.
I sat on a bench nearby, running a hand over my face. Guilt, exhaustion and the weight of everything going on finally pushing down on me.
Keifer: Jay, r u ok.
Jay: I'm fine, just tired.
Kavin: let's give her some space.
Keifer: Did u eat or sleep?
Jay( tired chuckle ): U didn't either.
Keifer: Wait here, I'll go get u something to eat.
He said and went away. The rest also left with him to give me some space.

( First of all, sorry for keeping u guys waiting. Actually some relatives came to my house and r still here and I had to take care of a kid too😭 So I wasn't able to use my phone much. And they r also insisting I stay with them for a little while cause they know my exams jsut ended so I don't really have much to do now😅 but if that happens then I can kiss my internet and a little privacy to write bye bye and will have to take care of 2 kids😭🤧 So yeah, I'm dealing with A LOT!
And secondly, don't think that I'm ghosting u guys or testing ur patience or anything bcz that's absolutely 💯 not what I'm doing! And I even I don't know when I will be posting next so how can I tell u guys😅
And Ik u guys wanted some spicy and lovely jayfer scenes but I had already said in the spoilers before I left for exams that this will happen na so yep, here is the unexpected but kinda expected chapter😂 Don't worry everything will be fixed. In the next chapter they will do a little research work and they will also travel and u will get what u want and everything and the case and the other problems will be dealt with after the trip ends and I have already planned it out ok.
