Chapter 18 - Daredevil: Buddy, You're Back Again

Whoosh!

Following those chaotic footsteps.

The burly men from the van quickly surrounded Zhou Cheng.

Dark gun barrels all aimed at Zhou Cheng.

The men checked the two companions who had fallen to the ground with just one punch, shocked and enraged.

Who was this masked guy?

What incredible strength!

"I'll ask you only once, who are you?"

A sharp voice rang out.

The leader, a man with a skull tattoo on his arm, glared at Zhou Cheng and roared.

But all he got in response was a clean, crisp fist.

Bang!

The tattooed man's body shuddered violently, and he flipped backward, slamming heavily against the van.

Karen Page, inside the van, immediately felt the impact. The vehicle shook violently.

Gulp!

The other burly men outside all instinctively swallowed hard.

They were shocked by Zhou Cheng's exaggerated punch.

Then.

"Shoot! Shoot now!"

"Kill him!"

Bang bang bang!

Amidst several angry shouts, the remaining three burly men all mercilessly pulled the triggers at Zhou Cheng.

Several bullets simultaneously struck Zhou Cheng's body.

The three burly men facing Zhou Cheng all widened their eyes.

What the hell!

Invulnerable? This guy clearly wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest.

Bang bang bang!

Zhou Cheng didn't bother to react to those three men's reactions, calmly throwing punches, and took them all down.

One punch each, not even needing a second punch.

It looked so effortless, so easy.

These prompts flashed repeatedly in his mind.

Zhou Cheng didn't check the specifics, but there was no doubt he'd surpassed his goal of one hundred.

My friends are awesome!

Zhou Cheng was in a great mood.

Of course.

Even though the mission was complete, Zhou Cheng couldn't let the last criminal in the van get away.

He walked over step by step and yanked the car door open with a clang.

"If you move, I'll shoot her!"

The Moustache in the car was practically scared shitless, holding a gun to Karen Page's head and yelling at Zhou Cheng.

Zhou Cheng: "..."

Well, if that's how you want to play it, then there's no talking.

"Don't be rash."

"Actually, I don't even know her!"

"Whether I save her or not doesn't matter to me."

Zhou Cheng said with a sincere expression to The Moustache, looking as if it were the absolute truth.

How could The Moustache possibly believe Zhou Cheng's nonsense?

This kind of lie wouldn't even fool a child!

However, the next moment…

Zhou Cheng really turned around and left very decisively, without a trace.

He just walked further and further away under their gaze, disappearing into the night.

The Moustache: "…"

Karen Page: "..."

He really left? This isn't how the script is supposed to go!

That was too straightforward!

So, what exactly were you here for? Judging by the way Duy effortlessly dealt with The Moustache's companions, the terrifying strength he displayed...

The Moustache had originally thought he was a goner.

Using Karen Page to threaten him was just a knee-jerk reaction; he didn't actually expect it to work.

But who would have thought it would be so effective?

"What the hell!"

"Damn, are you crazy?!"

The Moustache cursed under his breath, then got out of the car, gun pointed at Karen Page.

He went to check on his companions.

"Watch out!"

The Bald Guy suddenly cried out in alarm.

The Moustache also vaguely sensed something was wrong, and instinctively looked up.

He saw a person suddenly descending from the sky.

"Shit!"

The Moustache instinctively raised his gun, aiming it at Zhou Cheng, who was flying down.

Bang!

Duy didn't even have time to react before Zhou Cheng's fist sent him flying.

He can fly!

This guy can actually fly!

Karen Page was dumbfounded inside the van.

She had seen it clearly: the masked man had a pair of wings!

What kind of wings were those?

Advanced flying equipment?

But why did they disappear completely after he landed?

Karen Page was truly bewildered. After a few seconds of blankness, she finally came to her senses.

She got out of the van and walked over to Zhou Cheng.

"Thank you!"

"Thank you for saving me!"

Karen Page thanked Zhou Cheng sincerely.

"Go on, get out of here."

"Don't be out alone this late again."

Duy lowered his voice on purpose, waving his hand at Karen Page.

Karen Page didn't stand on ceremony with Duy either.

Having been through the Daredevil incident, she had a vague understanding of the temperament of these superheroes.

Duy just nodded and then quickly left, her high heels clicking on the ground.

Whoosh!

After Karen Page departed, another figure leaped from the wall.

"You again!"

Daredevil, his eyes covered, stood facing Zhou Cheng with a confident stance.

In fact, Daredevil had arrived long ago.

Karen Page was one of his important friends, and there was even a hint of something more between them. How could Daredevil be indifferent?

He had sifted through countless cries for help, identifying Karen Page's voice, and rushed over as quickly as he could.

But he was a step too late.

Duy didn't even have time to act, only watch a good show.

"Same to you."

Zhou Cheng lowered his voice again, responding in a low voice.

The face under the mask was even more impossible to read.

Now wasn't the time for these vapid conversations.

Daredevil ignored Zhou Cheng and quickly walked in front of Bald Guy.

He grabbed his collar and lifted him up, shouting in a low voice, "Tell me, why did you kidnap that girl!"

"Heh heh heh."

Bald Guy actually laughed, a boundless mockery in his voice. "Why else? Because of you, of course!"

Daredevil's expression shifted slightly. "What do you mean?"

"She's just one of them. There are other hostages too."

"All of them will be taken to a warehouse at Pier 82."

"Daredevil, if you don't go and save them, they'll die!"

"Oh, no, wait, that's not right. They might wish they were dead, hahaha!"

BANG! Daredevil slammed a furious fist into Bald Guy's face.

Poor Bald Guy shuddered violently, then collapsed on the ground, unconscious.

Extra bonus, is it?

Zhou Cheng couldn't help but think with some surprise.

He had originally planned to quit after this job, but now, a huge order suddenly appeared!

No matter who the mastermind was, they had set a trap specifically for Daredevil.

Could the scene be small? Could he miss this? Zhou Cheng immediately made a decision.

"Pier 82, which direction is it?"

Zhou Cheng immediately asked Daredevil without any hesitation.

He had no choice.

Zhou Cheng wasn't a local and wasn't familiar with Hell's Kitchen.

I really need to ask Daredevil for directions first.

That's all for today, I've got a lot on my plate.
