Chapter 35 - I Actually Became Satan

"Everything is ready, just waiting for the opportune moment!"

"Next up, just waiting for the good news of Stark's kidnapping!"

After handling the matter of selling his house, Zhou Cheng's mood improved significantly.

This investment could be said to be incredibly huge, even wagering his entire fortune on it.

But he couldn't resist that it was a sure-win deal!

Escaping his loser status and becoming rich, well, maybe thinking of becoming rich was a bit too much.

But at least achieving financial freedom wouldn't be a problem.

This was a massive step forward for Zhou Cheng.

For a long time to come, he could comfortably enjoy life without having to toil for a few paltry coins.

"Let's tidy up the room!"

After returning home, Zhou Cheng didn't slack off.

Instead, he began to clean and organize his "otaku room."

Anyone knows what a room looks like when an otaku lives there for a long time.

It definitely needed a good cleaning.

Moreover, the real estate agent had already told Zhou Cheng that he would bring a client to view the apartment in the afternoon.

Since the agent was so helpful, Zhou Cheng naturally had to put in some effort, right?

And so it began.

For the next two hours, Zhou Cheng got a taste of what it was like to be a housekeeper.

Although he ended up looking a little disheveled.

But looking at the sparkling clean environment, Zhou Cheng's mood was quite good.

He took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and then Zhou Cheng comfortably leaned back on the sofa to watch TV.

He was waiting for his first customer to arrive.

Ding ding ding! He'd only watched one and a half episodes of the American drama when a knock came at the door.

"Coming!"

Zhou Cheng's spirits lifted slightly. He switched off the television with a thump and quickly shuffled over to the door in his slippers to open it.

However, the face that appeared in the doorway made Zhou Cheng pause in surprise.

It wasn't his real estate agent, but another familiar face.

Deadpool, Wade Wilson.

???

What are you doing here again!

What do you want this time!

"Why the long face?"

"Are you so happy to see me that you forgot to say 'come in'?"

"But it's okay, I forgive you."

Wade Wilson really didn't know how to be polite to Zhou Cheng.

He made a few excuses for himself, then leaned to the side and ducked into the room.

"Wow, what a makeover."

Wade Wilson also noticed the changes in the room and couldn't help but exclaim, "It's really not what I'm used to. This shouldn't be a single man's bachelor pad."

"Spit it out."

Zhou Cheng couldn't be bothered to entertain Wade Wilson and sat down on the sofa, casually saying, "Just get to the point."

"I just sweated my ass off for you, and this is how you repay me?"

"Man, that's cold."

Wade Wilson started chattering again.

After a long string of rambling, he finally pulled out a camera and held it up in front of Zhou Cheng.

He pressed a few buttons on it.

A naked, old man with his hands and feet bound, and covered in bruises, immediately appeared before Zhou Cheng's eyes.

It was none other than Smith, the idiotic boss of the previous body.

At this moment, Smith no longer had the arrogant look he once had, and looked incredibly miserable.

Seeing this, Zhou Cheng couldn't help but shake his head and sigh: "This is really miserable."

"Actually... this is nothing."

"I'm sorry, but your request isn't even close to the most bizarre I've handled."

"It's not even in the middle, no, it's not even weird. It's an insult to the word bizarre."

"Last week, I took on a high school student. To be exact, a high school girl. Pretty cute, too, and developed. She looked like… what's her name, that celebrity…"

"Never mind. Her request was truly insane…"

Wade Wilson began enthusiastically regaling Zhou Cheng with his exploits.

"Alright, Wade, I'm not interested in your glorious history."

Zhou Cheng waved a hand to stop him, "Anyway, you finished the old lady next door's request. I'm sure she's very happy."

"Is that it?" "You just said the old lady next door is happy, and… that's it?"

Wade Wilson shrugged, staring intently at Zhou Cheng.

"What else?"

"You want me to thank you on behalf of the old lady next door?"

"Alright, thank you, Wade. Is that good enough?"

Zhou Cheng raised an eyebrow at him.

"Just a 'thank you'?"

"You weren't expecting the old lady next door to pay you, were you?"

Zhou Cheng looked calm, not even blinking. "Sorry, the old lady next door fell down the stairs and died a while ago."

"You just said the old lady would be very satisfied."

"Yes, she would be, if she knew."

Wade Wilson: "..."

Seriously? Could you be any more shameless?

When it comes to being thick-skinned, I, your friendly neighborhood Deadpool, have to admit you're the best.

"Thank you for the affirmation, neighbor!"

"It's truly touching."

Wade Wilson just shook his head and shrugged, apparently giving up on any unrealistic fantasies of a commission.

"See ya, cold-hearted guy!"

Wade Wilson waved at Zhou Cheng and stood up, preparing to leave.

"Wait!"

Suddenly, Wade Wilson seemed to remember something.

He started examining Zhou Cheng up and down, carefully.

"Looks like… too much like it!"

"This is great!"

As he examined him, Wade Wilson's eyes began to sparkle.

Zhou Cheng felt a chill run down his spine.

What the hell was this guy doing?

"What are you looking at?"

"Take your eyes off me, or I'll be forced to do something!"

Zhou Cheng immediately warned Wade Wilson sternly.

"Zhou, I have a chance to make a lot of money. Interested in pulling off a job?"

Wade Wilson suddenly spoke in a mysterious way.

"Stop, hold it right there, no!"

"I don't believe a lowlife like you can come up with anything good."

Zhou Cheng didn't hesitate, flatly refusing Wade Wilson.

No matter what that Deadpool was scheming, Zhou Cheng wasn't going to get involved.

"I don't believe anyone turns down money."

Wade Wilson was brimming with confidence.

He didn't bother with any pretense of politeness, looking around Zhou Cheng's room for a moment before opening Zhou Cheng's laptop.

His hands went tap tap tap on the keyboard.

"Forget it, don't bother with all that useless stuff."

"I can't possibly agree, whether it's..."

Zhou Cheng's words stopped abruptly mid-sentence.

Because, with Wade Wilson's clicks, several images suddenly appeared on the screen.

Zhou Cheng only glanced at them, and was immediately stunned.

It was his own photos!

To be more precise, they were photos of him wearing his mask, fighting crime in Hell's Kitchen.

What the hell? Why were these online?

And why did the Merc with a Mouth think they could make big money?

Zhou Cheng was completely baffled.

"Who is this person?"

Zhou Cheng suppressed his curiosity and asked Wade Wilson.

"That's the key. Nobody knows who he is."

"But they call him 'Satan' on the streets. Satan, isn't that a bit much?"

Wade Wilson began introducing things to Zhou Cheng at a rapid pace.
