After that nothing interesting happen. Just Dumbledoor giving speech. The feast was mouth watering by the way after which prefects took us to our dorms. Ravenclaw tower was like an elegant study. It was both beautiful and elegant.
Luckily me and Pandora were roommates. There were only two beds in our room. I think each house have different system within itself too. The room was not large but quite beautiful. Can't wait for tomorrow.

When I woke up I saw Pandora had already left. Well she did tell yesterday that she woke up really early and to not mind if she was unable to be with her during breakfast. Perfect for me and after all everyone had there own secrets. I need to acquire as much knowledge as possible. By fifth year recruitment for death eaters will begin as shown in the novel. War is only a few years away. Need to be strong if I wish to escape. It was only 6 AM.
I decided to complete my daily routine and review my mother's notes. I already knew first year content to some extent. But without practice it's all useless. If I remember correctly there was a room of requirement on the seventh floor. If I am able to find it then I don't really have to worry about anyone watching me.
By 8 AM I headed for breakfast. It was well made. House elf in order to please there masters always tried there best in everything. Truly useful creatures. Ma told me about them. About how they bind with our core and so we provide them with a bit of our magic and they do tasks for us. Proffesor Slughorn the head of our house handed us our shedule.
Today I had Transfiguration, potions and History of magic. Hmm. Seems interesting enough. Soon Pandora also came in.
"Ready for the day." I asked.
"As ready as I can be." She said smiling.
Transfiguration-
We had this class with Hufflepuff. They seemed nice enough. Pandora and me sat at the back of the class. Suddenly Macgonal turned from cat into human and though I knew that her animagus form is a cat it's still suprising to see it in person.
"Transfiguration is a dangerous branch of magic. Anything can go wrong if things are not done in caution. So today we will learn about basics of transfiguration. It is an art to mentally channel our magic to transform all it's charecteristics from physical features to its ability to another's. Today we will try to make toe wood peice placed infront of you into whatever you wish for."
She then continued to teach us about the theory of conversion and how to channel our magic into an object. It was really interesting. It depends on our imagination and mental power too.
"Now begin"
I tried to channel my magic into it and try to shape it. A bonsai. I tried to imagine how it looked like. How it was arranged by that old person in TV. I though about life explained in that book I read. Suddenly I saw some glowing orbs like thing. I remember seeing it while meditating. I saw same type of orb comming out of me. Maybe this is magic. I immediately pictured it shaping it into bonsai.
Macgonal pov-
Everyone had already gave up. It was a high level magic after all. Even seventh year found this level of magic hard. It was just to check a child's talent in transfiguration.
"Hmm some were able to move the twig a little bit at least." Macgonal thought when suddenly she saw something unbelievable. One student block was taking shape. The more I looked the more shock I felt. This. This is... I was shocked when she saw Selene open her eyes with a tired face. Oh my. She did a very high level transfiguration. The bonsai was real. The next second she fainted.
"Oh my. Child are you okay. Everyone sit here and don't move." Macgonal. I immediately took her to Infirmary.
"Poppy Poppy we have a case of magical exhaustion." Macgonal said frantically.
"Why what happened." Poppy asked.
"It was the first lesson like every year but this child was actually able to transfigure the block of wood into a bonsai. Macgonal said.
"What?" Poppy was shocked. She though snapped out and began to cure her.
"She needs rest." Poppy declared. I just nodded at that. Though I was worried but I could not calm myself down. I mean how can I. A genius is transfiguration she is after all.
Selene pov-
I woke up feeling groggy. Poppy told me it was a case of magical exhaustion. Guess I need to improve my magical prowess after all. But I have an idea on how to improve it.

'I have missed my history of magic class and one hour break in between and the whole lunch too. Guess I have got to be careful next time. Well Potions will start in half an hour. I can eat lunch and head there.'
I ate lunch and was about to head back to dorm when Pandora arrived. She handed me my book bag.
"I thought you might need this." Pandora said nonchalantly.
"I do need this. thanks." Me.
"It's okay. Lets head down fast." She said.
We headed down towards the potions lab. It was Ravenclaw and Gryfindoor. I thought it was always Gryfindoor and Slytherine. Guess I was wrong.
"Welcome to Potions lab everyone. I am Professor Slughorn. You will learn to brew magic in this class. But first you all need to know some rules of this lab. Even one mistake can cause severe harm to everyone here after all. I hope you all keep your pranks out of here." He said turning his gaze at Sirius who stopped monkeying around with James and both gulped at the warning.
Remus was in the back engrossed in book. Peter was besides him fidgeting not daring to do anything. They still must not be friends yet. Understandable since it's there first day.
Slughorn continued to tell about the safety measures need to be taken by us. He also told us about incidents of people loosing life because of not taking precautions.
"Today you will learn how to prepare cure of boil. But first we will understand theory. It's practical application will be in next class."
"So who can tell me properties of this potion."
