Chapter 176 - Chapter 175. Amora: Do you... want me?

Gwen was happy that Alaric didn't refuse to let her stay, so the three of them held hands again and laughed.

"..."

When Alaric saw that scene, he didn't know whether to feel satisfied or worried.

He suddenly remembered that Jane had just told him she would soon be moving to New York, but he didn't know if she would live here or find another apartment.

Besides that, he hadn't told her anything about Clea and Amora, and now Amora was already here, and Gwen on top of that.

That left Alaric not knowing how to explain everything to Jane.

"Well, we'll see when the time comes."

Alaric shook his head.

"Ah! Oh no! I should've gone back ages ago!~"

While they were talking, Gwen suddenly exclaimed.

Looks like she had been away too long!

Even though she explained to her parents that she was temporarily staying at a school friend's place because of the alien invasion, now that the war was over, if she didn't come back, her parents would surely worry!

"Alaric, I'm going back!"

"Do you want me to take you?"

"No, no, I'll go by myself!"

Gwen said a bit panicked. If he took her and appeared directly in the apartment, everything would be revealed.

Better to return normally.

"Alright then."

Alaric nodded.

"Then I'll drop by another time!"

Gwen said, waved to them, said goodbye to everyone, and jumped out the window.

Then, the few of them: one looking at another, the other looking back, no one knowing what to do next.

And Alaric clearly felt it was strange to suddenly be living with Clea and Amora.

He was used to living alone.

"What would you like for dinner?" Alaric asked.

"Anything!"

"Same for me!"

Clea and Amora clearly weren't picky.

"Alright, I'll go get some groceries."

Alaric nodded and intended to buy some food.

Even though he could solve everything with magic, Alaric still enjoyed the process of cooking.

And when it came to washing dishes, that was already magic, one cleaning spell and everything's in place!

"We're coming too!" Clea raised her hand.

"Hmm… I also want to buy some clothes, okay?" Amora raised her hand too.

"Sure, let's go together."

So the three of them went out together.

Along the way, as soon as someone saw Alaric, shouts could be heard, people ran up for autographs and photos.

In just one day, Alaric had become New York's or rather, the world's, superstar who outshone even Iron Man!

His name was the top trending topic, the talk everywhere!

Some had already created fan pages dedicated solely to him, started discussions on all platforms!

Moreover, they put him on mythology lists, side by side with God, Odin, Zeus, and other deities.

Alaric had imperceptibly become a faith for countless people, a living god on Earth!

At the same time, the name Avengers had also officially gone public.

Thanks to interviews with Steve and Tony, everyone found out that Captain America had returned as a symbol of hope!

And since they had fought aliens on the streets of New York today, a bunch of photos and videos taken by citizens they had saved, plus interviews with those rescued, flooded social media and the news.

Even though they didn't shine as brightly as Alaric, the name Avengers became widely known.

Thus, the officially confirmed Avengers members were:

Under the leadership of Steve Rogers, Captain America, there were Iron Man Tony, Thor, Hulk, plus Black Widow and Hawkeye, whose identities remained secret, all as members of the Avengers.

In addition, there were also Spider-Woman and Lizardman, who also became famous!

Peter saw the news about himself and was flipping with joy at home.

From now on, he could officially act as a superhero under the name Lizardman!

He just decided first to change the color of his costume.

And Alaric, among all superheroes, stood alone in a special category, called [God], unreachable to all!

...

Walking down the street and realizing how noticeable he had become, Alaric was forced to activate mental magic and almost completely lower the presence of the three of them.

"Looks like I'll have to go out less often," Alaric sighed.

"If I had helped today, I would've ended up on the news too," Clea said regretfully.

"And Amora, didn't you want to help? Why didn't anyone mention you?" Alaric asked.

"I was chasing Loki and stayed at Stark Tower, I wasn't walking around," Amora replied.

Even though she was a powerful witch, her magic wasn't the typical destructive kind that lets you rush into enemies like Thor.

On the contrary, if Amora had charged in like that, she might not have returned.

So Amora, like Loki, was stronger in manipulating others' actions from behind the scenes than in direct frontal clashes.

"If you want to help, you need to learn magic," Alaric added.

"I'm learning, Teacher Ancient One already taught me a lot!"

Clea said proudly.

"And she said I have great talent and potential to become a great mage!!"

"Alright then, keep it up."

Alaric replied a bit offhandedly.

Clea frowned.

"I came to learn from you, and you haven't shown me a single spell!"

"It's not like there won't be time, I'll start teaching you personally tomorrow."

Alaric agreed.

"Now that's more like it!!"

...

Soon they bought groceries, and Amora and Clea also picked out a lot of clothes and shoes, and they returned to the temple.

Luckily, Alaric had enough money, so whatever they chose, he simply paid.

In the evening, the three of them sat together at the table for the first time to eat.

Alaric didn't know why, but even though three women sat together, there wasn't a trace of awkwardness, which felt a bit unusual to him.

Around nine o'clock, everyone retreated to read or rest, Clea with a book, for example.

When Alaric lay down in bed, his door suddenly opened.

"Amora?"

Alaric looked at Amora who entered, dressed in a white lace nightgown, her pale skin visible underneath, looking shy, and he was confused.

Alaric was sure:

Amora wasn't wearing anything under that lace nightgown!

Especially as she held her breasts with her hands, making them even more noticeable!

"I came to sleep…"

After closing the door, Amora bit her lip, decisively walked over and slid under the blanket.

"You…"

"Alaric, I like you. Especially the sight of you standing in the sky today, that's when I realized you are my final destination!"

Amora spoke in a muffled voice under the blanket.

"You're not just the savior of Earth, you're my savior too!"

"Alaric… you'll be the only man for me!"

"You… want me?"

Amora peeked her head out, eyes moist, looking Alaric straight in the face.

"Why not?"

Alaric embraced her.

Then he noticed that Amora, when she got into bed, had actually left her nightgown outside!

So fast that Alaric didn't even manage to catch it!

But it didn't matter, if he didn't see it, he could feel it.
