Ivy's POV
"Let's go eat." I grabbed Nancy by the wrist and practically dragged her down the stairs, eager to set my plan in motion. Her confusion was evident as she tried to match my pace.
"Where exactly are we going?" she questioned, slightly breathless from our rapid descent.
I flashed her a mischievous grin over my shoulder. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, would it? Trust me, you're going to love it." We entered the dining hall and loaded up our plates with a hearty breakfast. I spotted my father looking completely drained and slid into the seat beside him. "You hanging in there, Dad?"
"Yeah baby girl. Just running on fumes at this point. But I got everything done." He took a long sip from his coffee mug, then turned to study my excited expression. "You look like you're up to something. What's the plan?"
"Nancy decided to wake me at an ungodly hour for some quality bonding time," I explained with a playful eye roll.
