Chapter 11 - Rescue Mission

Written by **EYRAM**

Seraphina quickly made it to the second castle, as fast as the gale, with speed even athletes could not match at their top speed.

She stopped as swiftly as she began, standing before the second castle, which was the second largest and grandest in the area, lined with sophisticated twirls and circles on the roof, while the dark walls were perfectly smooth to feel, and the floor had just enough friction to prevent falling, but apart from that, it was also smooth.

As she stopped at the gate, two burly Vampires who looked identical, like clones, stopped her and asked.

"What's your business here?"

"I'm going to the underground floor, for hunted reasons." His frown then turned to a sneer as he looked down upon her, and finally at the underground floor, Violet sat in a throne, smiling, looking extremely pleased.

And in a bigger throne, the Second Castle's Lord Jian Xue sat behind her, with a neutral expression, and asked.

"Are you positive that this is every single Dhampir out there?"

"Yes, Dad, I am totally sure," Violet replied, smiling.

"Hah, those Greed vampires in the Seventh Castle would never understand what hit them." Father and daughter cackled loudly

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not getting away so easily. You should stick to the deal and hand over my sister. I can call my dad at any moment, though he knows not what I'm doing here, I kept my side of the bargain, now it's time to keep yours".

"Not in the least bit intimidated by my presence, I see," Jian reckoned.

"If you call your father, I'll kill you before he arrives, then get killed, two can play your game, I will be replaced, but you will hold on to your emotions, emotions make you weak," Violet said

"Emotions make us stronger," Seraphina said, feeling something within her.

"If you had no emotions, you would not be all alone, risking your life to save your sister, and I might have eliminated one Dhampir, but would not have been able to lay my hands on another as easily."

"Emotions make us stronger." A high-pitched pitched rather deafening sound gets into everyone's ear. Seraphina smiled and reckoned.

"And we outsmarted you this time around." Serena broke the bars of her cage, her hair luminous yellow, and this time, both her eyes with it. Seraphina's hair turned red, and both her eyes followed suit, and they said in perfect unison.

"Together we stand strong and tall, and anything that breaks our path will fall." Something within them, primal in nature, took center stage in their heads,

As they ran away together, regardless of the power within them at the moment, they could not go against a creature of the Lord rank without even reaching the Knight rank, and hence they focused on fleeing, hoping they would have a chance.

And luckily, they succeeded. Seraphina quickly called her father, but the was no cell signal in the vampire settlement. They then went to the nearest teleportation center and quickly got back to Ravensville.

After returning home, they missed the surge of power they felt when they fought together, but it was not only they who could not forget it.

Back in the Vampire settlement, the largest castle, the first castle.

The Dark Legacy held a meeting, all vampire lords and the single Vampire King sat at one place, the room was filled with only and nothing but tension, as they discussed the heated topic of the outrageous Envy vampires trying to get a Dhampir into the settlement. A Vampire with whitish skin and hair so long it swept the floor stood up.

"So, what you're saying is that two Dhampirs walked into the settlement and got out while being cornered by Lords!" Beads of sweat developed on the various Vampire Lords' faces as they heard their king. First, he looked to the Third Vampire family, Gluttony, and asked,

"Did I not make it clear that you should eliminate the Greed Vampires' mistake, or did you not get it?"

"Sire, I did what you told me to do, but these Dhampirs were different from the ones we created. Unlike the violet highlights they had, these have yellow and red ones. I believe they might be what we fear, complete Dhampirs."

"I shall not let this continue. Before they multiply, they must be eliminated. I guess if you want something done, you have to do it yourself." Leaving the council without an explanation, he walked out on the meeting, and the lords stood there, not a clue what to do

Very quickly, the sun set, Saturday coming to an end. Serena wondered if this was what her life would always be like, now that she embodied this whole different nature, a whole race might be after her life.

The next day, she woke up really early, not being able to sleep. She finally understood what Seraphina meant when she said she had a lot on her mind; with her life always in danger, she had to sleep with one eye open.

Being kidnapped was not an event she would like to be repeated ever again; moreover, she now had the liberty to start a social life, she thought to herself as her phone buzzed. It was a message from Lance.

"Hi," he texted. She replied without thinking.

"Do you expect me to reply, after we met, we talked, then I was ignored, now you expect me to just reply to you in the early hours of the dawn.

"Oh, really. This is the first time I have been talked to like this. I just never thought others saw anything after my pretty face, especially that sister of yours."

"So full of himself! Do you think you're better than the rest of us?"

"Maybe, but can I make it up to you? Why don't we meet up at my place? I'll send you the details later. See you there?"

"I'll be there."
