The Goldfeather Fiend smashed apart the magic formation.
Sadius immediately swung his sword down in a fierce arc.
Goldfeather once again unleashed his innate divine ability in an attempt to block.
But Sadius showed no fear and slashed down without hesitation.
This strike did not directly kill Goldfeather.
Sadius had comprehended too few profound mysteries, and none of them included speed-related ones.
Because of that, Goldfeather narrowly survived this sword strike.
However, one of his arms was severed cleanly.
A spatial passageway appeared. Without any hesitation, Goldfeather plunged straight into the channel.
The appearance of the spatial channel meant that the two planes were now fully linked and one could freely travel through.
Seeing Goldfeather enter the channel, Sadius didn't hesitate either and charged in after him.
Before entering, however, he sent a divine transmission to several divine-level magical beasts in the Misty Valley:
"Protect Pouant City. Send someone to the Forest of Darkness to invite Lord Beirut."
In theory, Beirut definitely would already be aware of what was happening here.
After all, only Beirut and Leylin—those two Sovereign "emissaries"—could set up or reestablish the sealing formation.
After leaving the transmission, Sadius also dove into the channel.
Passing through the corridor, Sadius emerged into the familiar Gebados Planar Prison.
But the terrain here had already changed—it was no longer just a simple stone cavern.
It had been blasted wide open.
Sadius immediately spotted the fleeing Goldfeather.
But this guy's escape speed was simply too fast; Sadius couldn't catch up.
And at that moment, countless divine auras began to approach.
Lower Gods, Mid Gods, High Gods—there were divine experts of all levels.
"Mid God, get out of our way!"
None of these people wanted to remain trapped in this damned Planar Prison. Every one of them yearned to escape.
Sadius extended his divine sense, observing this swarm of rapidly approaching divine experts.
It seemed today was destined for a fierce battle. He had to hold this spatial channel at all costs—at least until Beirut arrived.
But there were simply too many divine beings here. If these God-level experts joined forces in a combined assault, even a Shura would have no choice but to retreat.
"Let's hope Beirut isn't harboring any ulterior motives…"
Sadius thought grimly to himself.
To truly suppress all these God-level experts, only Beirut would be able to.
Soon, Lower Gods who lived nearby arrived.
"My lord, could you please step aside and let us pass through the channel?"
They asked politely upon seeing Sadius was a Mid God.
"Retreat. Otherwise, die."
Sadius gripped his divine sword, and a powerful wave of divine sense oppression swept over them.
The group of Lower Gods glanced at each other and quickly made a decision.
"Hmph! Today, whether you let us or not, you have no choice. Brothers, attack together!"
These were just Lower Gods who had only comprehended basic mysteries. There was no hope they'd know any soul-based attacks.
A swarm of Lower Gods jointly unleashed their profound mystery attacks.
All sorts of divine power strikes surged toward Sadius.
"Seeking death!"
Sadius didn't hesitate. His divine sword slashed out in one fluid motion.
With one stroke, all those divine power attacks were torn apart.
The sword aura pierced through their attacks and cleaved directly into the divine beings themselves.
One by one, the Lower Gods' bodies and souls were annihilated on the spot.
Divine Sparks clattered to the ground.
Sadius swiftly gathered up these few Divine Sparks.
But soon, even more divine experts came flying in from all directions—this time including High Gods.
This place was relatively close to Leylin City, so naturally the High Gods of Leylin City discovered the spatial channel.
Very soon, Adkins, the second most powerful figure of Leylin City, arrived leading a large group.
Among those returning with him was none other than the previously fleeing Seven-Star Fiend, Goldfeather.
A Seven-Star Fiend and a Six-Star Fiend—two powerful High God-level experts—and behind them was an entire crowd of Mid and Lower Gods.
Adkins stared at the figure blocking the way, Sadius.
Although Adkins was only a Six-Star Fiend, he was still the second strongest in Leylin City after its ruler, Leylin.
Moreover, he himself was a God-level expert originating from the Yulan Plane.
"Mid God, are you from the Yulan Continent?"
Adkins asked, narrowing his eyes.
Sadius looked at Adkins.
He didn't recognize him—after all, even if this person existed in the original storyline, Sadius had never met him. Naturally, he didn't know this was the very same Adkins who would later be instantly killed by Beirut in the original tale.
"Step back, or die!"
Sadius didn't bother saying more.
Adkins frowned. A mere Mid God dared speak to him like this? If not for something he wanted to ask first, he would have already made a move.
"There's something I want to ask. Has Lord Leylin already returned to the Yulan Continent?"
As the number-two figure of Leylin City, Adkins had always handled affairs on behalf of Leylin.
But Leylin was a complete cultivation maniac, so all city matters were left to Adkins.
Earlier, he had intended to report some things to Leylin—but he hadn't been able to find Leylin anywhere. Even Leylin's two Middle God brothers had vanished.
At the time, he suspected Leylin had already left the Planar Prison.
But… leaving the Planar Prison was impossible unless Beirut allowed it.
Otherwise, the only way out was to train to the pinnacle of Divinity—achieving the level of a Great Perfection Highgod capable of tearing open the space and returning to the Yulan Continent through chaotic space.
Could it be that Leylin had become a Great Perfection Highgod?
Leylin had always been just one step away from that realm. It wasn't impossible for him to have broken through.
If that was really the case, Adkins would be rather unhappy.
If Leylin had become a Great Perfection Highgod, then even Beirut, a Sovereign's Emissary, wouldn't be a match for him.
So why hadn't Leylin thought to take Adkins with him?
After all, Adkins had served Leylin loyally in Leylin City.
And yet, in the end, he had received nothing in return.
Leylin had simply left the Planar Prison with his two brothers, abandoning him in this damned place. The more Adkins thought about it, the angrier he became.
"You're from Leylin City?"
Sadius looked at Adkins warily.
"I am Adkins, a High God under Lord Leylin of Leylin City."
Sadius immediately remembered who this guy was.
In the original story, Adkins escaped the Planar Prison and ran wild on the Yulan Continent.
In the end, he had been foolish enough to provoke Beirut—and Beirut killed him with just two strikes.
Sadius' thoughts turned rapidly.
"My teacher never mentioned having a High God like you under his command."
Adkins frowned.
This Mid God was claiming to be Leylin's disciple?
Impossible. Leylin had never taken a disciple.
There was only one other explanation—this Mid God had once received some guidance from Leylin and, on his own, considered Leylin his teacher.
"You're just a Mid God. You must have received Lord Leylin's casual pointers. But why would Lord Leylin speak of so many things with a mere Mid God?"
"Adkins, there's no need to waste words with this guy. Help me take him down. If we join forces, we can definitely eliminate him!"
Goldfeather urgently said.
They had to eliminate Sadius as quickly as possible—because if Beirut arrived and sealed the spatial channel, there would be no chance of escape.
"Goldfeather, you're one of the Five Sovereign Kings. How can you be unable to handle a mere Mid God?"
Clearly, Adkins still didn't understand Sadius' true strength.
