She greets her mother, but she can tell that she is full of anger and hides behind her father before she asks her why she's here.
"Jill, explain yourself." She says, with a stare that pierced her soul.
Jill gulps while shaking and hiding behind her father, and starts looking for the right words to use for the explanation.
"I-I-I fainted, and when I woke up, I was in a d-dark forest."
"While I was running around looking for people, I ran into the prison's security. They arrested me because they thought I was a criminal on the run." She quickly explains, still shaking in fear.
"So she fainted just like Liliak..."
"I thought she just felt sick and fainted and fell into a coma, but it seems like that wasn't the case. It seems like this might be more to this than I thought." Her father thought to himself as she still hid behind him, quaking in fear from her mother's gaze.
"Come, Jill, we're leaving."
(Around an hour later, Jill and her parents are walking in the forest.)
Jill asks if her siblings are alright, which her dad confirmed that they are just fine, but aren't with them at the moment as they both went to become adventurers.
"Adventurers? What kind of job is that?" Jill asks him.
"Adventurers are awakened who have decided to kill monsters that aim to kill humans. Or destroy life around them in general."
"These adventurers are all different when it comes to abilities. Some use magic, Ki, Aura, or Spiritual energy. While others use cybernetic enhancements instead." Mordaar says as he's scratching his pointy ears.
"And because all awakened have different strengths and weaknesses, they are given 'Adventurer licenses' under tiers based on their strengths and powers that are based on 'how strong you are compared to the average human' at the moment, since humans are the weakest race when not awakened."
"The tiers go from tier 100, which would mean that you are pretty much a normal person; a tier 100 awakened would still be able to get killed by a normal person. They don't tend to go monster hunting and usually become town guards."
"I'm guessing tier 1 is the strongest then?" Jill asks.
"You are right. The people here say that this ranking system was designed by a god, who had the ability to see people's power levels, and he decided to design the ranking system around his ability. When I went there, they told me that 'he has never been wrong in his judgement' and that 'he is an amazing person'."
"Where do you think I would be ranked?" Jill asked her father.
Her father thought about it for a few seconds, then answered.
pfft
"Probably around tier 70," He says.
"And what about you!?" She replies in an angry tone.
"Ehh, think I'd be a solid tier 1, I am a god after all." He replies while laughing.
"But enough time wasted, let's fly to somewhere else," Mordaar says as he transforms into an immense bird-like creature that is similar to an argentavis in appearance, only differing with horns on his head and black and white feathers.
"Let's go."
As they take flight, Jill looks around to see that the vegetation is unusual. Giant birds and flying giant stingray-looking creatures are flying around the sky. The surroundings looked foggy, and she looked around in awe, as if she had been sent to another world.
