The next day, the group gets together and goes for a walk when they see a crowd of people in front of what seems to be an execution ground.
They looked as they saw what seemed to be three rat-eared humanoids holding three people at gunpoint, with a fourth one shouting:
"You imbeciles think this is your kingdom!?"
"This is the kingdom of the rat king, and he is the greatest leader and our saviour!"
"He freed the demihumans from years of discrimination from other species!"
"Rebelling against him would only mean that you are a traitor!"
"The rat king is our king, and if you don't stop that, we will get rid of everyone who refuses to follow him." Another guard said.
The crowd stayed silent as they feared death, but the people who were pinned didn't submit to their order and shouted back with rage in their eyes:
"I will never follow a monster like him!" One of them said as he looked at the guard with bloodlust.
As the exchange was happening, the man could hear a faint call for him in the crowd.
"Father!"

He noticed his child in the crowd in tears as she shouted for him. He couldn't bring himself to call for her back, but only gave her a warm smile as his head got pushed to the ground.

"We are now going to make an example out of the traitors, starting with the first one, FIRE!" The soldier shouted as the other man pointed his pistol at the man on the father's right.
BANG!
The man's head gets blown off as the remains of his body fall to the ground. He looked at it as the girl on his left vomited due to the gory scene beside them.
"Second one, fire!"
The woman begged for them not to shoot as tears fell down her face, but they didn't care as she soon joined the other headless body.
"Now for the final traitor..."
The little girl started to cry as she was about to watch her father die at the hands of villains. Clad's body felt like he had to step as he tried to control it, but couldn't. He stepped in, like a swift wind. He dashed in, killing the armed officer as he took the girl's father in his arms, and saved her dad from being killed. and start running away with the girl and her dad.
"You have to be kidding me!" Jill said as she, Adonis and Lylia caught up they him as he ran away.

"Catch them!" The officer said as they ran in a long alleyway, the guards could hear from a distance as they were gradually closing in on them. Adonis and Jill asked why he did that, and he said he couldn't stop himself from helping her for some reason. Suddenly, Clad notices a woman with red hair waving her hand from the left corner in front of him and decides to follow her.
As they followed the woman and lost the guards, Clad thanked her as he let go of the father and the child. As the two thanked him, they introduced themselves as Thomas and his daughter, Kale.
Jill looks at Kale, then pats her, saying, "It's okay now, it's going to be alright," as the girl goes to tightly hug her father as she sheds tears of joy, which puts a small smile on her face. While this scene was unfolding, Clad asked the woman her name.
"My name is Laura," she said in a calm and collected tone.
